I so want to go and get the Christmas one but I've already been to ACM 3 time in the past 12 days and came home with a new one each time so I don't know if I can. Well that is if I want to stay happily married. In less then 2 months I got my Cricut and 5 cartridges. I have a problem I think. :rolleyes1

when it was posted about the machine for 139.00 I stopped after church and purchased it and now I am addicted. I have informed my children that since mothers day is the following week they should all buy me one, I have four kids so maybe I will get four cartridges, not sure on my son he is a preacher and college student so I may not be able to count on him.... (I warned his wife about his earning potential;and she still married him lol) I have always lurked the boards and have decided that lurking is expensive. lol

That would be strange if they did. But then again they are the most expensive. Even my local scrapbook store sells the cartridges and machine for less. Joanns, Walmart, and Hobby Lobby are all cheaper. The Michaels by where I work was redoing their aisles and had moved the Cricut from the endcap to the actual aisle.

I was at Joann's today and they also had those same cartridges on sale for 39.99. The clerk was thinking that they may be retiring them and that is the reason for the sale, but she was not positive.:confused3 Has anyone heard anything?

When I went into ours to check when they were on sale, she called the manager and asked if they'd be getting more in. She said no, that they would be getting in the larger sized one. So, I guess ours will only be selling the newer version.

I sure hope the cartridges fit both machines. It would just be horrible to spend all this money and they don't fit. I personally will be mad if this is not the case and I'll be writing a letter to cricut.

That said I did buy the Animal Kingdom one. The one I really wanted DoodleCharms wasn't on sale. Oh well, next time..

I asked at our local Michaels store if the cartridges are on sale because they aren't going to be selling them anymore. I was told they won't be selling the current cricut machine because they will be selling the new larger model. She had been told the cartridges would fit the new machine. Also, she didn't think they would be discontinuing the current cartridges because they were giving rain checks for them today! They were out of just about everything on sale by the time I got there this afternoon. It sounded like they were out of the current machine and wouldn't be getting anymore in. I thought they just hadn't gotten more in after their big sale.
