Wedding Ceremony - $2950
Officiant (Randall Miller) - $278
Chapman Photography (Randy) - $761 (3 hour ceremony shoot and Wishes)
STVS Videography - $1107 (3 hour Intimate Stylized Package)
Carolyn Allens - $80
Beauty Speciale - $120 (mom and I)
Magic Kingdom Photo Shoot - $800
Memorial Flower - $35
Crystal Mickeys - $30
Crystal pins for flowers - $10
Upgrade on cake - $80
V & A - $500
I think that's about everything, of course this doesn't include accommodation, flights, park tickets etc, which has eaten up the majority of our budget. We are going for 3 weeks so we intend to do quite alot, including the DCL for 3 nights. I think, all considering, the price is pretty good. Over here it would cost at least $35,000 to get married and have a decent wedding, we are saving alot of money by going to Disney. It is thill the best decision we have made yet!

Thank so much for posting this.
I find it so cool that I am also from aberdeen although I have just moved to Inverness, you are also moving although somewhere a bit more exciting than Inverness and that your wedding is almost exactly what I want too.
I think - I may be wrong - that I read in your planning journal that you got the mickey bag if its not too cheeky can you tell me how much that cost I would love to get them for me and for my little niece for my wedding. Thanks.:flower3:

Intimate package: $2950
extra champagne and one non-alcoholic bottle: $124
Bridesmaid's bouquet: $75
4 boutenniere's (best man, fathers, & grandfather): $42
2 mother's coursages: $50
Memorial flowers for my grandmother: $15
DFTW cake & knife server: $50
satin Mickey bag: $35
bouquet refresh for MK/EPCOT photos: $125
MK/EPCOT photos: $1225
low res cd: $75
tax $110
Dessert party for 20 at the Morocco Terrace:
Venue: $200
set up: $75
old world miniatures: $490
fondue add on: $240
Cookies add on: $60
Illuminations viewing: $250
tax: $85
service charge: $213
Officiant: $150
Wedding dinner at Raglan Road estimated: $800
This of course doesn't include all the other expenses! I've kept a spreadsheet the whole way. (I'm an obsessive budgeter!)
So for my dress, his tux, shoes, veil, jewelry, wedding rings, hotel, marriage license, postage, thank you notes, announcements (we didn't do invitations), and welcome bags we have spent another $4000. Our grand total is around $10,500. I would LOVE to have a custom but when I started adding in all the extra wedding things that don't count towards the DFTW I just could do it justify spending that much. My parents are paying for the bulk of the wedding but we are picking up the rest. We decided to go overboard on our welcome bags and spent about $750 there. We really wanted to do something special for our guests.

Thanks so much! Seeing it like this is very helpful! Right now I am just trying to decide whether to go intimate or custom....on the Disney website, it is showing that the WP is now $3900?!?!? Is this right??
Anyone else have their intimate wedding price list breakdowns?:cutie:
The $3,900 is correct for the WP 2007.
We are having:
Escape wedding at WP $3900
Cindy's carriage $2700
MK photoshoot $1000
Mickey & Minnie $1200
Randy Chapman photography (3 hour package plus 1 hour) $675
A Magic Moment video $500
Total $9975 plus 6.5% tax
We're also going to 1900 Park Fare for our wedding dinner 2 @ $38.99 plus tax, then having the Wishes cruise $275 (total).
Of course, travel and accomodation is extra and also our attire.
Good luck deciding

I am not sure what our final costs will be at this point, but my fiance has budgeted $20,000 for our trip, wedding and everything wedding related including the dress, tux rentals, rings, etc. So far everything has come in a little under budget so things are looking pretty good. We'll have to see if thats still the case when we get the final costs from our wedding planner.
We didn't do any of the add ons such as mickey and minnie or the carriage. We did splurge for the MK photo shoot and are paying for a welcome dinner at O'Hanas, lunch at California Grill on the wedding day and a dessert reception for all 14 of our guests. We are also paying for my siblings hotel rooms and flights so that is a pretty big added cost worked into the budget.
I figure it is around the same amount we would pay for a wedding here and I am getting a trip out of it as well as a very unique wedding experience.

So far, this is our running total...
DFTW (YC Gazebo): $2950
Randy Chapman photography: $612.37 (3 hours, after taxes)
Anna Wasacar hair/makeup: $132 (including trial)
Magic Kingdom shoot: $800
Favors: $44
Flowers, additional: $111 ($36 for corsage thingies for our grandmothers/FMIL, $75 for silk bouquet)
Extra champagne: $50
Wedding luncheon at Portobello: $392 (estimated at $22/person + stupid $2.50/person cake slicing fee)
Officiant: technically free, since he's a friend, but as a thank-you we're taking him and his girlfriend to Hoo Dee Doo Review, so I've budgeted $132 for that (woot, cast member discount!)
I have a fabulous spreadsheet, like others have mentioned, and my running total (without honeymoon) is $6k. This includes everything, from my dress to our rings to our favors down to every last penny. I'll be keeping a running total of the honeymoon as well, which I hope hope hope to keep under $2k. Oh, and we'll have a total of 16 people, including us.
Hope this helps! An intimate really worked for us because we didn't want our guest list to get out of hand and this way we were literally limited by how many people Disney allows. Plus we'd like to buy a house later this year and we didn't want to spend too much money beforehand.

WP: 3900
Welcome Dinner at Ohana: 580
Tea at Gardenview Lounge: 300
Reception Dinner at Chef Mickey's: 650
Officiant: 150
MOH Bouquet: 45
Boutonierres (not through Disney): 15
MK Photos: 800
Randy Chapman: 612
Hair/Makeup: 130
Moms' Hair/Makeup: 160
Extra Bottle of Champagne: 60
Soda/Water: 60
Flower Girl Basket (not through Disney) & Flowers: 22
Ring Bearer Pillow (not through Disney): 4
Then there's all the usual stuff: dress, veil, shoes, tux, etc. According to my handy-dandy spreadsheet (lol) it will cost us about $15,000 (we're paying for everyone's rooms, plus a bunch of stuff for my MOH), but we're WAY under budget so far.
Hope that helps!

That is so ridiculous. The photography policy is my biggest gripe with DFTW. I understand Disney's idea behind not customizing escape packages...because that's the whole point of the wishes package...you spend more, you get more.
But surely there has to be some middle ground for people who are having a small wedding and want some say in what happens. I went through a whole big thing where I almost changed to wishes, and it just didn't make financial sense with only 10 guests. But I really dislike this lack of accommodation just because I won't have a ton of guests.
And of course the easiest way for Disney to fix things would be to improve the quality of photography or make it more reasonably priced. It is so exorbitantly overpriced...from the prints to the CD, etc, etc. It makes no sense to use Disney photography.
And I don't see what the big deal is with substitution. I guess I lucked out and booked my wedding before this policy change because I was told I get a honeymoon session since I am using outside photography. Well the wishbook says a honeymoon session is like $350. So why can't the $350 just be subtracted from my MK photoshoot, or from a DP photoshoot? It makes no sense.

When did this change take affect I wonder?
The price of the Escape Package keeps increasing with nothing being added to it. So WDW is still getting paid for a service they aren't performing because a bride/groom choose to use outside photography. They should at least substitute and do the honeymoon shoot. It is better than nothing. They already give restrictions on not being able to wear any fancy attire to the honeymoon shoot.
I need to chill  . Is this absolutely true, or do you think it's based on who you talk to? Sometimes you get different answers in DFTW...

I don't know when it took effect I am hoping it depends on who you talk to I spoke to Brianna Marshall via email and DF spoke to her on the phone, he says that on the phone it sounded like she was reciting a manual or something so I am guessing she is very by the book.
We weren't even allowed to find out if any wishes weddings had already booked the date that we wanted. I don't understand that I explained that I just wanted to know if and when it got booked not that i wanted to book early is there really any harm in saying if it was booked yet or not and I know that others have been told this information in the past.

We booked our wedding just over a month ago too and we're having the substitute honeymoon shoot, we actually asked for a different location to the parks and got it booked in for the Poly instead of at the parks.
Incidentally Brie was our initial point of contact and confirmed this was ok, but it was Kathleen, our coordinator, who actually booked the date in for us I think.
It must be a really recent change, and it's a shame, but really if you choose not to use one of the elements in the package as it's meant to be used, I suppose it was good of them to offer an alternative at all.
It's a better "deal" for us, as a UK Escape couple, as we get the master CD included of all our DPS photos, but I think we get less prints or smaller prints or something....

I spoke with my Sales Consultant? at DFTW. She stated a honeymoon shoot is substituted. She stated you are able to book an alternate 1/2 hour session, at a resort location in casual attire, receiving 2 photos, in lieu of what's in the experience. This differs from what is offered on a honeymoon shoot add-on.
I inquired about having the option to do it in a theme park and she stated there are discussions around this subject as of right now as to whether it will be offered in the theme parks (at least during my time of year for my wedding). It's hard to do during park hours and maneuver around guests (feedback received) while trying to get the shots you want. The resort location is more creative and relaxed (per feedback received).
I can discuss it with my coordinator since they will be the one to book it.

Okay, here's economical Kelly speaking up (uh, ok, "cheep" :lmao: ) I just did the pre-purchase of the photopass CD, and it includes a 30 minute photo session at the GF for $25.
I also bought the "Honeymoon Photo Package" (the one anyone can buy separately), where you get up to a 1 hour photo session in the park/resort of your choice for which includes a white Disney-themed album containing your selection of twenty 4" x 6" prints. Plus you get to keep all the other 4" x 6" prints that they took in the park during the portrait session. All for $310 You have to be in non-wedding attire. You also get a website posting of our photos. Of course the CD is extra (can't remember how much), but at least you have hard copies of ALL your photos!

Thanks for the Info I didn't get a reservation number she just took a lot of my details for 'my file' so it will be quicker when I call. I will need to ask for a number.
I didnt realise you got all of your photo's for this I might think about buying it anyway.

I just did the pre-purchase of the photopass CD, and it includes a 30 minute photo session at the GF for $25.

WOW! How far in advance did you have to purchase the photopass CD? Where would I go to purchase this CD and packages? Thanks. :thumbsup2

I just purchased it last week, because I read that they had that special, and sure enough, on the fine print of the confirmation, it said that you could have a photo session at GF for only $25 (you have to bring a hard copy of the confirmation with you) I'm not sure how long the offer will last. Our Wedding/Honeymoon is in May. Here is a link that refers to this offer...

We are having breakfast at 1900 Park Fair after our early morning wedding at Shades of Green, so decided to go with the photo session while we are there. We should even get away with "wedding attire", since my dress is just a simple white sundress with no veil.

Reading that thread has me even more confused, LOL.
This is a few pages before page 113:
1. Follow this link:http://www.disneyphotopass.com/previsitcdplan.aspx
2. Preorder your CD using your credit card
3. A code will be emailed to you
4. When you return from vacation and order your photos, enter that code to get the $99 rate
5. When you go to your photo shoot, print out the 2nd confirmation email to get the $25 rate
ETA: I am reading that the deal is only good for 60 days after you prepurchase a PhotoPass CD?
Editing to add more: The deal seems to be you prepurchase a PhotoPass CD for $99 and get a code to get a photo shoot at the Grand Floridian for $25, but they will also do other resorts.
I do not understand how you get from step 4 "when you return from vacation and order your photos" (I'm guessing from your PhotoPass) to step 5 "when you go to your photo shoot, give them the printed email". Wouldn't you have your photo shoot while you are at the parks? Even $99 plus $25 is a lot cheaper than what Disney would charge for a honeymoon shoot, so this may be something to think about. I am concerned that DFTW only gives 4 x 6 photos - I'd like a bigger wedding picture than that!

There is no 60 day deadline on the photopass pre-purchase confirmation.
From what I read, when you go to a photo session at the resort, you show them the print off of the confirmation (that show's the $25 offer) and they will do the session, and give you a CD with all the pictures on it. You'll get your photopass, when you have your first picture taken by a photopass photographer at the theme parks. When you get home, you can log onto the computer and put in your photopass #, and it will bring all your photos the photopass people took. You can do photo editing on the website, and when you're done, they will mail you the CD with all your photos on it. (which you can then print off at your local discount store) Otherwise, if you don't preorder the CD, it cost more if you decide to buy one later...or you can pay them a ka-zillion dollars for a 4" x 6" print outs.

We had Karen Serrette as well and she allowed us to swap for a 30 minute "alternate shoot." Although we wound up blowing it off for the reasons specified - it's 30 minutes and you get 2 prints. :confused3

Me too! Couldn't you always have your pictures enlarged elsewhere if you wanted a bigger picture?

I think you can if you buy the CD for $750 or something, or you can wait 3 years and buy it for 1/2 price. Then you can enlarge the pictures. I don't have any photographer friends or relatives either, so I'm kinda stuck unless I want to buy a larger package or use an outside vendor.
