Beach Club Villas

I'm currently a DVC member with ownership at the WLV. We're planning on trying to go there for Christmas, 2002. Does anyone know how the Beach Club Villas will be booked for that period? If there are no owners yet to book for that period, have they in the past allowed current members to book beyond the 7 month window for other than their home resort?

I e-mailed member services about BCV asking when they thought we might be able to book them. I was thinking about October, 2002. MS told me to reserve my home so I would be guaranteed a place to stay, then at my 7 month window, I could call and ask if they are accepting reservations for BCV. This sounded reasonable to me so that is what I will do. Of course, I'm not holding my breath that they will be booking BCV at that point. In fact, I'm betting that they won't be, but I'll call anyway.

No, they will not allow booking before the seven month window.

They do declare rooms into DVC inventory faster than they are sold. People sell back or bank their first year's points, whenever a new resort comes on line, it is very easy to get reservations at the seven month window.

When VWL opened, they starting taking points reservations about 2 months before the opening but not more than 7 months before arrival. I don't remember when they started selling VWL points, it was probably around the same time with closings after the opening date.

Also shows the BCV as a member in the BVTC and II program.

They have (at this point) declared 18 BCV units into DVC when they begin sales.

Looks as if BCV carries the 1/31/42 expiration date.
