I watched Cirque De Soleil on Brava very early this morning, and had a thought......

Who would want to do that at Disney either before or after DISCON next year? If we can get enough people we might can get a group discount, because it is a we bit pricey(but heard well worth it).

Patrick, I wouldn't mind going again. I liked it. (Tia, don't let that scare you off. A lot of other (more normal) people have liked it, too. ;) ). It would be fun with a group. :D

Pat: Le Cirque is absolutely awesome. I would go and see it again in a pinch.

Hey Dayna! We are not "normal". We are all DisCon "freaks" !!!!

But also,, I want to do another tour like Keys to Kingdom.. maybe something in Epcot or MGM.. I am not sure what they have to offer.. Oh Linda, where are you????

Yeah, Marsha, I was thinking the same thing! About the tours, that is.

Kevin and I did the Keys to the Kingdom one in July, 2000, and really enjoyed it. We wanted to do the Epcot one this past May, but it wasn't offered on the days we were there. :(
I forgot the name of it, though. Something like, Wonders of the World Showcase?? It sounds interesting, and would be really fun with a group!!:)

I've seen Cirque du Soleil 3 times, and would enjoy seeing it again. Annual Passholders can sometimes get $20 off the ticket price. But and however, Cirque does go dark sometime in December until after the holidays, I believe.

Hey Linda,

If you can check into this for us for maybe a pre or post meet it would be great, if not I will be willing to do it.

I know this is a little early but....you know me ...LOL

I would like to see this, but I don't want to shell out the $50 or so bucks. How much of a discount can we get?

Never let it be said that I don't go with the flow! I've never been interested in doing this, but I've heard it's great. And, I think it would be wonderful to do it as a group.
I'm also determined to do a tour this year, too. I missed doing the Keys tour and was very disappointed.

Oh the Cirque show in Vegas is The Best....IMHO. :D I love that one! This one is great too tough. :bounce:

And I want to do a tour this time too. I really really wanted to do the Keys tour. Hopefully that one will be offered again.

Oh good heavens! How many days am I going to need?

This will be so cool.....

I only hope they are not dark while we are there....I will call them tomorrow.

If not, would anyone want to do Hoop-de-Doo, luau at the Poly, or maybe another dinner show before or after DISCON?

Pat, I think doing the Hoop De Doo as a group would be a blast! It's been over 10 years since I did that with my family! I would love to do that again! I'm planning on being there a few days before and a few days after the convention. How much do you think we can fit in in 12 days!?!?!? :D :D :D

La Nouba site says it is dark from 11/27-12/12. Not sure if that is '01 or '02. It usually is for 2 weeks after Thanksgiving. It is a great one. Have seen that one twice and both the Vegas Cirques, and will see -O- again next week whe nwe are there.

Dan...I do believe those are the '01 dates. We went the first night of their re-opening which was 12/13.

It is pretty traditional for the blackout dates to be the two weeks following Thanksgiving.

I think a Hoop-de-doo night would be a HOOT :D :D

Heck we could BE the show!!!!

I called Cirque Du Soleil this morning and found out that they are Dark december 3rd through the 16th. So if we are to do this, it would have to be on Monday December 2nd.

So we have a couple of months to think about it

Hoop de doo would be a great idea!!! I have never done it.

Pat, you impress me with your efficiency!

I saw something on the Today Show this morning about Olympic atheletes who have joined Cirque de Soleil. They showed a bit of the training that performers have to go through. I would love to see La Nouba, but DW Sue has always balked at the price. It looks like quite a show.

If I don't make it to a Cirque show....I would certainly be up for Hoop, or Luau, or MVMCP, or Candlelight. :) :) :) I'm easy. ;)

I've never been to Hoop, but as figmentvi says, we WOULD be the show. :D I plan on getting to Orlando on the 28th-29th, depending on flights, so I'm game for anything.
