When I try to check for AAA rates thru netbooker/universal website for each hotel and all dates in July and August it says no availability - is this right or do you think I should call universal?? Am probably just staying 2 nights so I don't see another way to get discount.

Definitely call. I didn't see any AAA rates in July on the web so I called and got them for the week of July 4th.

That's strange - I was able to get a AAA rate of $191 for the HRH and book it online...

Sorry ,yes you obviously will get AAA rates on the AAA website, but IMF70 was trying to make their booking on Universal site ,which does not give you AAA rates, you must call universal or Loews

Try looking on www.bookit.com it quotes AAA rates, and dates are still available for July and August. I have not yet booked through them but may use them for my holiday in December.
Hope that helps, Nichola

You can check and book AAA rates online, just need to click START OVER on the Netbooker site. AFter that, a new field shows up that allows promotion codes.
It's a big pain, the old site was easier. The new site, and the old site, coul really be a lot more user friendly.

i agree, i don't like the new booking site.
i call universal on the toll free number when i book.
the tm's will give you advice and let you know which rate would be best for you.
if a hotel is full, they can tell you which hotel has occupancy for the AAA
