We did the breakfast during our last trip in February and loved it. The character interaction was great and the food was spectacular. We were able to take pictures with Belle when we first arrived and then Ariel, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Jasmin came around to the table. We all agreed that we would make this breakfast a regular part of our future trips. In fact, we are going to it again in June. I have not been to the dinner but have heard mixed reviews about the food. Please post when you get back and let us know your opinion of the food. Enjoy!

We had breakfast there in September and LOVED it!! It was by far our favorite character meal we had. Food was great, service was great, and the characters were amazing. We saw Belle in her YELLOW dress when we first came in. The other characters that rotated around the tables were Snow White, Mulan, Mary Poppins, and Jasmine. It will be a "must do" breakfast for us from now on.
HOPE YOU ENJOY YOUR DINNER!

If I were you, I'd stick to breakfast or dinner. I'm not trying to say something about you, but sometimes, it's hard to stick to your reservation when it's a lunch, because you'll be be in line for, let's say, Test Track when all of a sudden, you realize you have to get to lunch in 2.5 minutes! And it's a crowd day! You'd have to plan VERY carefully to get in Norway to the restaurant 45-60 minutes before your reservation time for a lunch. Trust me! A nice morning start or a 90 min. relaxation period at the end of the day is always MUCH BETTER! than trying to run around the park to get your table before the characters start coming at a lunch!
It's much more complicated in the middle of the day!

breakfast there is lovely and plentiful buffet, be ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN (by callin WDW to check) that dinner is with normal food and not ASHERKAS food, the menu is very unusual to say the least. Breakfast is regular pancake egg, bacon foods. Triple check is my serious advice.
Have a great trip!!:thumbsup2

we did the breakfast last June, we had Aurora, Belle, Snow White, Jasmine, Mulan. They rotate "Princess" Characters, Disney doesnt guarantee which "Princesses" will be there. It is a must do if you have a little or big PRINCESS in your party princess:

We went for dinner last year during free dining. I was not impressed. It was very crowded, the interaction from the princesses was limited. We first got their and met Ariel and took a picture then waited a really long time before another princess came along (this wasn't our first character meal either). Then I really was NOT impressed with dinner. Maybe we just aren't adventerous eaters but I really didn't like it. For an "appetizer" we were allowed a virgin coctail, then we went to the buffet for some things (I can't remember what, like cold cuts and maybe shrimp). Then came our meal, not great. Then came a shared dessert platter. I have had better.
We are going to give it another try, but this time we are going for breakfast. I am really hoping it was just a bad day (it was REALLY hot that day) and I know we should enjoy the food. My princess: princess: are still really into princesses so I thought this would just work out better for my family.

we've eaten lunch there and shown up about 15 mins before our ADR time. Why do you need to show up 60 mins before your ADR?

I was there in Sept 2005 last time I was there and the parks were CRAZY! It wasn't too bad on the first day though!

Crowded? Yes? No?

If you are going to dinner there be careful they don't try to suck you into getting pictures with princess. That package will add $32 to your bill for a stinkin 8x10. :headache:
We dined there in Feb.'07. I wasn't impressed with the pasta selection (Bow tie with chicken). DH liked his mustard glazed salmon, but not much else.
Great place to take YOUR pictures of the princesses. Belle wears her everyday (Light Blue w/apron) outfit. Ariel, Jasmine, Aurora and Snow White were there also. DDsprincess: princess: loved it!

We went for lunch during Easter week last year. We arrived early but had to wait until our ADR time. We enjoyed it. My dd was so excited to be with the princesses that I made ressies again for our upcoming trip. :goodvibes

Wow, I think you're the first person I've ever heard say it was "crazy" during September! Must've been really busy in 2005.
We were there in September 2006, and it was so dead. Really surprised me after hearing how most rides had such long waits. Fast pass wasn't even operating when we went.

Why in the world would you show up 45-60 minutes before an ADR? Doesn't that kind of defeat the whole purpose of having one?:confused3

Thanks for the tips.princess:
We ate there during our trip this past September.
Character interaction: If you have/are a princess fan, this restaurant is a great place to go. We met: Ariel (in blue dress), Belle (in her "plain" blue and white dress), Snow White, Jasmine, and Sleeping Beauty. The characters--at least when we were there--moved through quite fast. They do stay long enough for a picture and autograph though.
Food: I thought it was just "okay". The cold buffet had stuff like various kinds of cheese, breads, I think some cold shrimp and fish, and a few salads. I'm not a salad person, so I just took some of the cheese and bread. It was fine; nothing fancy but edible.
For my main entree I had the BBQ tips and corn bread. Nothing remotely exotic about it, but they weren't the greatest. The tips were tough and the corn bread really dry. Dh had some kind of meat-loaf dinner (started with a "k" on the menu) and that looked a bit better. The kids all had cheesy ravioli which looked really good.
Dessert was really good; a platter with three different kinds of desserts.
It was a fun meal; and although the food wasn't the greatest we're coming back on our next trip.

What's the breakfast food like? People keep saying its normal but I'd love a little more elaboaration. And I thought it was family style but someone said buffet. Which is it?

When we went, it was not a breakfast buffet. Everything was on our table in platters and the wait staff refilled everything as needed. For our drink, we were offered OJ or milk. There was a fruit tray on the table when we arrived with a big selection of fruit. I do not recall specifics, but it was good. For main course, they brought out platters of scrambled eggs, hash brown casserole, bacon, sausage, and biscuits. At the end, a tray of sweet rolls were brought out. Again, there were several different types, and I can't remember what they were. Our ADR was for 8:30, so we waited for it to open, but it was not too long. We were VERY excited to see Belle in her yellow gown.
The food was wonderful we thought. I chose to do breakfast because the other menu options did not appeal to me. My dd had a great time. Since our ADR was early, I did not feel that the characters were rushed. As the restaraunt was more crowded, I did notice that the characters were moving a little faster.
We loved it and can't wait to go again!

When we were there in February they brought to the table a platter of eggs, potato casserole, bacon, sausage and rolls. We were able to refill that platter as needed. There was also a buffet line in the middle of the room that breads, fruits, and pastries. This food was more of the Norwegian flare while the platter was completely American. Between the atmostphere, food and princess interaction, we feel like this was our favorite character breakfast and have made reservations there for our next trip.

We went to the dinner this past Sept. We really enjoyed it. The princesses are a little rushed but that didn't bother my dd's. Ariel was in her princess gown for meet & greets when we first arrived and they do offer you a picture package. We enjoyed the food. I had the Kjottkaker which is like a meatloaf and it was very good! The desserts were soooo good too. I don't have it down as an adr for our Dec trip as I am trying to do new places but am so tempted to book it! If not, I am definately picking up some rice cream at the Norway bakery....yummy!!

Our party of 8 (5 adults and 3 kids, 8yr old boy, 3 and 4 year old girls) ate there for dinner during free dining last year. We LOVED our food. I am NOT adventurous at all but tried the Traditional Kjottkaker and it was delicious (similar to a meatloaf but tastier). We had wonderful Princess interaction too. We saw Ariel as we were seated in the alcove and took 3 pictures of her. As we were seated the Princesses came around (Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Cinderella, and Jasmine) spent time with my nieces and nephew and signed autographs and took a few pictures (separate with each kid plus a group shot).
The whole family enjoyed the food and of course there were kiddie entrees for the little ones.

When you got to the entrance, there is a special part set up for the Princess Breakfast people. They will check your name on the list and let you go in. Then you go straight to Norway.

We went to the lunch last September and we had Ariel (ballgown), Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine and Cinderella. There were probably 5 or 6 families in the entire restaurant. We were seated by the area where Ariel stands in her ballgown and whenever there wasn't a line for pictures with Ariel, she came over to our table and talked with the girls. They loved the extra attention that they got from Ariel. We were also surprised that Cinderella was there because when I made the ressie they specifically told me that Cinderella wouldn't be there.
The lunch food was a mixed review from our party. I liked my food while the other 2 adults didn't. The kids ate their food with no complaints but they were 4, almost 3 and 17 months.

We did the dinner this past January and we all enjoyed it. My girls were dressed as Snow White and Ariel. Both girls loved it when the princesses made a fuss over them.
As for the food, we found it to be quite enjoyable. I especially liked the cold bar.
Enjoy!!:)

We had the princess: dinner Christmas week 2005. It was not one of my favorite dining experiences but my daughter loved the princesses. We too shelled out a hefty sum for the 8x10 with Ariel but we really didn't need to. All of the princesses made their way by and we had lots of time for photo ops with each and every one. This was during the busiest week of the year and I was impressed with the attention and effort that they made.
As a rule I generally enjoy the food at the character breakfasts better than the dinners. Have fun.

We had dinner there in March and it was one of our favorite meals. I had some pasta with chicken and dh had the veison stew. Both were really good.
Princess interaction was good also, we managed to get a seat right near where they come out. Snow White was at the entrance and we also saw Ariel, Belle, Jasmine and Cinderella.
