Dues Increase

We just received our annual dues statement and found that they went up approx. .30 cents per point (OKW/VB). Does this seem true for the majority of DVC'ers with points at these two resorts?

Sounds right! OKW went up .09 - from $3.13 to $3.22 and VB went up .20- from $3.97 to $4.17.

I expected to receive an increase in my monthly dues payment but when I got my annual dues statement it actually went down almost $24.00 per month! It seems that the amount paid for 2001 tax was overestimated so the credit was applied and divided and my payment went down. I was HAPPY!
Oh, ya, we are VWL....

Same here. My monthly payment went down about $26. Due to overestimating the tax at VWL for 2001.

Walter...not to split hairs, but if you own equal points at OKW and VB, then your points went up an average of .14 cents. Just wanting to make sure you ease your mind about the increase....they don't "add up", they "average". :)

Wow! That happened to me my first year at BWV (1999), the tax was way overestimated. They had estimated around .80 per point and it came out about .30. This year it was very close, I only got a $6 total credit (annual). It was around .71 in 2000 & 2001, I don't know why it was only .30 in 1999.

Okay, this is why the dues are up but my payment is down.....this year we're paying about $1 less per month. Not as good as the rest of you seem to have, but our add on at VWL is a small one.

I thought I was crazy or misread my paperwork! Our dues went down too - $10.00 a month!
I was reading other threads where people were discussing the increase...
Guess I shouldn't expect it any other years so I'll enjoy 2002. Gee, when I add up the amount I'm saving - is it enough to buy an add on? lol
