Oct discount vs. Free Dining

Well we got free dining for 9/21 - 9/26 at Poly saved us $555 but lost the AAA discount so net savings is $277. Still not sure what we are doing, but at least we have the reservation.

Does anyone remember when the discounts for October were released last year and whether it is better than AAA (15% off of deluxe).

Sept vacation the kids miss 4 days, October they would only miss 2 days around Columbus day weekend.

Also, should I be booking my dining for both potential vacations???

The fall discounts were released around August 24th last year. However, I don't remember what the exact dates were. I know that it was some dates in October and November both. I remember looking at this package last year (we are going in October this year) and figuring out that it would save us between $300 -$400if they were released for 2007, so I know that the discount was pretty good. Maybe 25- 30% off of rack rates? Anyone else remember the exact discount???

I beleive the October/November discounts were about 25 % off rack rate.

I found a website that show all the historical information for codes and rates since 2004. It gives travel dates, when promotion ends begins, what type of discount etc. I think it said that this was a 25% off deluxe and 15 off moderate. The only question I have was this for a package or a room only reservation. If it is room only reservation, how easy is it too add the other componets? If it is that good of a deal we might be staying somewhere different.
