..and couldn't be happier. We booked for the 2nd week in September and the rates were pretty good. Booked at the Polynesian for 8 nights. We've been to WDW over 20 times, but first time able to take advantage of the free dining.
My wife was on the phone for 2+ hours this morning. One hour waiting for a rep. and the other hour figuring out the chaepest price possible.
Get your phone calls in early, it's going to be a busy day.

Yeah! I booked this morning and I was on hold for an hour, too. The CM told me there were 175 people still in the call que! She said they didn't think would have so many calls first thing! I booked Pop Century for Sept. 22 - Oct. 1. We are just thrilled. This will be our third year of Free Dining. It is a tradition I LOVE! :yay: :woohoo:

Please help, if you can:

Do you have to book your resort to take advantage of the free dining? (We are DVC members and don't need accomodations, but we DO have a Disney VISA)

What number can you call (and be put on hold)?

Does this have to go through Dreams Unlimited, or is it a WDW thing?

Thanks!

Hi! Yes, you have to book a resort (at least 3 night stay) plus at least a one day base ticket per person. That makes you eligible for the Free Dining offer. I don't think you can get Free Dining if using your DVC points.

This offer is a WDW offer, beginning with an early booking time for Disney Visa cardmembers. Call 1-800-828-0228, the WDW CRO, and they will get you booked! Disney Visa cardmembers can book starting today, and the general public can book on April 12.

Can't beat this deal! :thumbsup2

Thanks so much! You are certainly well-educated on the free dining. It doesn't look like we'll be able to take advantage (we are annual pass holders as well)

Now you need to change your signature!! Congrats on the free dining! Enjoy!

Will they run "out" of the offer?

Thank you! I am working on changing my signature right now! Also, something to consider...I've read on a few other threads here that people are considering booking a value room just to get Free Dining. I think some of the folks considering this were DVC members and some were folks who were renting houses offsite. I don't understand all of the details, but their thinking was that they would still be getting some savings by paying less for the room than if they had to pay for dining. Not sure how the purchase of the one day tickets would change that though. It might be something to think about anyway!

You're supposed to be able to book this through June 24, I think. Not sure what would happen if it booked solid. The past two years, I think they actually extended the offer longer than it was first announced. I don't think it is expected to fill up completely though. Good luck to you! :)

Will they run "out" of the offer?

There are a limited number of rooms available at each resort for this offer. I just tried to get All-Star Movies for 9/22-9/30 and they were out, only had preferred left at Pop Century for the same time frame. Although Music and Sports were available. (I picked sports, the only AS we haven't stayed at before). Family is going to be disappointed, they really wanted Movies. It's my 4 yo first trip and he thinks he is Buzz Lightyear.

More info than you asked, short answer is yes.

Oh my goodness, I can't believe they have already sold out of everything except preferred at Pop! So I guess the number is REALLY limited, huh! Maybe something will open up at All Star Movies so your little Buzz will be happy. That is so adorable...I hope that someone will cancel so you can stay there. At least even if it doesn't, he will still get to meet Buzz and have lots of free character meals! We'll keep a look out for a little 4 yo Buzz since we will be there at the same time! :goodvibes

 Now I'm getting a little nervous. I haven't heard from my TA yet. I was wanting POP for 9/22-9/30. Hopefully she got it for me! I'll have to wait and see. She is away from home and said that she would email this afternoon to confirm everything. The waiting is killing me! :scared:

Our back up plan was for CBR. Would cost us more, but we do love that resort. We have never stayed at POP before. I had heard good things, and we were hoping to get a chance to try it out this time.

I was terrified, never having booked a package before let alone used any kind of dining plan, but for free, I couldn't help but try! Much to my amazement I got our same style room at poly that we'd booked with room only discount (cancelled that, booked new package) with our tickets and dining FREE! I'm still in shock LOL.

For those of you who have used the plan before...is it really true? It seems TOO good to be true somehow LOL. My men insist on one sit down a day in Disney so I think that I just managed to save us a LOT of cash. . .please tell me I'm right here! LOL

I'm so excited I could just :woohoo:

Thanks for any info you can share (and yes I've made those ADRs! LOL)

I haven't been to the DIS in awhile, but thought I'd check in today to see if free dining was coming soon. I can't wait till Thursday! We've done free dining the last two years and it is SO WORTH IT. You get some much food! :) We stay at the values, so hopefully there are some rooms left.

Congrats to all you free diners!!! And I can't wait for September!

Oh! Does anyone know what dates you have to stay this year? Sept-Oct?? Just curious...

Lauren, two years ago when we first went for free dining, I also thought it was too good to be true...but this will be our third year and I can tell ya, it is TRUE! :woohoo:

You won't believe the amount of your bill at the table service restaurants, including tax and tip. And all you have to do is have them swipe your room key! It is a FANTASTIC feeling! We do leave an extra tip for service that is great. You are going to enjoy this so much. It just makes the vacation so much fun b/c you don't have to budget at all for meals! Congrats on your deal, and  about all of those savings you have!!!!!!

Hi Laren
You are going to love the free dining. We've had it 2 years in a row and this August will be our 3rd year. My DD kept saying last year that she couldn't believe that we were eating everyday for free. It was great. It was so much fun to try out new places that I might have not tried, because of the prices.
Have a great time!!

My disappointment is soooo deep right now! I booked our trip before Christmas last year, based on previous free dining offers. We are locked into our dates now 8/22-28 and JUST miss this great offer. We do have the dining plan, but we are paying for every day of it. c'est la vie.
