Mardi Gras Questions:

Does anyone know what entertainment is scheduled for Mardi Gras this year?
I would love for my family to be able to ride on the floats one night. How do you go about getting chosen to be a rider?
Can someone explain how Mardi Gras works - are the attractions still operating during the parades? How long does the parade last? And besides the parade, what else is happening at that time?

Mardi Gras runs from February 8 to around March 22. As for float riders, I think you have to get into the standby line, but I haven't heard about how it will work this year.
