In case it actually happens this year.....Does anyone recall how Disney Visa cardholders were able to sign up early? In other words, did they have to quote a specific code during those first days? Or, just say they had a Disney Visa and somehow the CM could verify based on the card #, etc?
My concern is that I've had a Disney Visa for many years, but never recall seeing ANYTHING from them about the Free DDP promotion the last two years. I'm worried that it will be available to DV cardholders first, but I won't be emailed "the code".
Did this happen to anyone?
Thanks,
Jill

The code will be available on the Disney Visa rewards site. I'm pretty sure you had to give the CMs the code and pay using your visa to get the discount, but I could be wrong.
The website is really easy to use. I would get my account straightened out with them now, so you are ready.
We only got the code one or two days early last time.

We've had the Disney Visa card for a few years too and I've never seen the promotion. I just tried to log on to the website and my password isn't valid and it will only give me a new one by text the authorization code to my home phone. Which doesn't have text capability.
So I will have to call them tonight and get it straightened out. I can't see any of the reward info or news without signing in.

I'm waiting by the mail box for my card. It was mailed out on the 2nd and when I called they said it will be here in 5 business days. Urrrgg. I can't even sign up for the reward site until I have the card in hand. When I called and mentioned I wanted it soon for a special offer the guy said "oh yea" like he knew what I needed it for. But I forgot to ask him directly about the free dining offer. On another site I saw it is expected to be posted for visa holders on friday or saturday. So I guess we'll all know soon enough.

I'm sure everything will be okay. The CM want to take your money, even if it is a code. I seem to remember them working with people as long as they could give them their credit card number.

Last year, I found the code posted by someone on Dis. When I called CRO they made sure the card number I gave was a Disney card. Never rec'd anything in the mail, or e-mail. :)

Do you think it will be posted at www.disneyrewards.com where no log in is required or at www.chase.com/creditcards where you log in and actually see the details of your account? When I go into my chase account under "view disney offers" it says Unable to Complete Your Request at this time. It then says there are no offers. Do other people get this????

Yup, I've been getting that too. I would imagine it would require an account log in to actually get the code (I could be wrong though), but even if the code was posted publicly, Disney does make sure that you do give them the Disney Visa card number in order to book...even if the entire world knows the code. The first few numbers on the credit card indicates to them that it is indeed a Disney Visa.

So if you have the Visa, is April 12 the day you get to start booking like has been posted before for the general public, or is it earlier?

It has been reported that Disney Visa holders got to book a day or two early before it gets released to the public. That was on previous years offered. Stay Tuned.:cool1:

I could be wrong, but I believe they call and you get a recorded message indicating your authorization code - at least that's what I remember. My home phone doesn't have text capibilities either.

I think you can have them send it to your email also.

As far when Disney Visa cardholders would be able to book (if this rumor proves to be true), the cardholders generally get a 3 day advance on bookings. As far as when anyone will be able to book (whether its cardholders or the general public), we can speculate all we'd like, but no one knows 100% until it's officially announced.

I am also getting the same message. This is a change from March since I was previously able to see the different available offers (Disney World Offers, Disneyland offers, etc) however these all had 0 next to them.
Seems (and I hope) that something is on the way.
