We're going to WDW 8/10-8/20. Taking 3 of our grandkids with us. So of course need 2 rooms and already added the ddp to our package. We are so hoping for some sort of a break in the cost of this trip. We did free dining last year and loved it. Boy it would have helped this year.

Can't change our dates to the rumored Free DDP because of school starting on the 23 of August. Here's to hoping and lots of prayers..........:wizard:

We are going to be there the same time as you, we check out on the 19th though, we are staying in a Family Suite at All-Star Music though, two rooms would be doable, but we like the idea of all being together.

We also can not change our dates, so I am hoping for some sort of discount as well.

We'll be there same dates at ASMo.
We booked over Christmas with the bounceback program and got the free dining.
My DW is a teacher so that was as late as we could stay.
Good luck with a discount!

We are planning a Aug. 10-17. Still hoping for free dining so our kids can enjoy it, and of course so my wallet can breathe!!! Teenage boys eat alot!!
No more Happy meals at our house!!! :sad2:
If no free DDP, then a good room discount on a moderate would be great. We might join AAA just to get the 20%, or rent points.
GOOOOOD LUCK!!

Well it looks like we didn't have enough pixie dust coming our way..:sad1: :sad1:

From the looks of it the dates for fdd plan will start on the 26th.

Well back to wishing for some good discount for early August then. We're still going 8/10-8/20, ADR's are already made and ddp has been included in package (just in case this happened).

But gotta look at it this way, no matter what we're going, gonna have fun, and it is DISNEY!!!!!!

I, too, am looking for codes in August. We are from Houston and son will be going to college for soph year in Tampa....our school starts late this year so am thinking the whole family will be taking him down. Sorta hate to go in August - soooo hot. Any of you been in August? How are crowds? I figure we will go to parks early, come home in afternoon and go back and stay late. Only been in May/June before - never this late in the summer heat!!

We went last August 13-20 (Had free dining last year thou) and for our family the heat wasn't too bad (but then again we're from SC so it felt kinda the same as it does at home). The crowds weren't too bad either.

Well maybe this year with free dining being later, the crowds will be hardly nothing......
....still hoping for discount for early August 07:wizard:

I was there last August 17 - 21 on the free dining. It was hot, but we headed out early in the morning, took an afternoon break, then went back out at night. Crowds were not too bad. In fact one morning I went to EPCOT and it was very empty. If I had to pick the most crowded park as always was the MK. Restaurants were crowded, but I had made all my ADR in advance and had no problems.

The free dining is not that good for us as it is at the end of our trip and not really worth it since we will have to buy two sets of passes. I doubt we will be going back to Disney for quiet a while after this trip so there is no point in saving them for another trip. So now I am really hoping for a good discount, I currently have AAA at 15% but a bigger discount would be great, we have not received a pin either that 40% off would have been fantastic.

i was also going to suggest the AAA price. if you are not members you could check out the price if you did join it. you may save enough to be worth the money of joining AAA. we use it when we go.my only grandchild, a grandson, will be 1 this week. so my dh and i cant wait to start taking him withus.........haha. have fun.

Can you get a AAA discount and buy the dining plan?

You would have to make your reservations with a AAA agent to get the discount and the dining plan.

Thanks for all the tips.

Unfortunately maybe I'm being greedy but I would really like a better discount than our AAA discount.

We are booked through AAA for 10 days (2 rooms) with DDP. Our total cost for the 2 rooms/DDP/tickets is $4240. This may not seem like a lot (and it really isn't) but we would like a bit more off the total.

We were given custody of the youngest 2 grands last year by CPS We have had custody of the older one since he was 1) and have not had any luck getting support out of the kids parents. So we are basically supporting the kids ourselfs.

We have already decided that we are not cancelling the trip so if we can't find any better discounts we are still going. We only owe about $680 more.

But still hoping and praying for bigger discount......

Hi, Biscuits.

You can get both, but you have to book at least a 1 day MYW package thru AAA to get dining for each night of your stay.

Booking direct with Disney, you can get the AAA room discount but they won't let you add the MYW package (tix and dining).

gratenana, I guess I am being a bit greedy too, but like you I have special reasons for why my family want to stay at the BCVs but these needs have a price. We are going regardless but a little bit more off would be lovely.

BTW you sound like a fantastic grandma :).
