Delta FF redemption ?

I've never had enough for a Free ticket before!!!

After a trip in June, I'll have enough to book a free 1st class round trip. I'd like to fly from SAT to MCO Dec 1 and return Dec 13. Anyone that has experience using Skymiles have you had any problems? Have you been able to get the times/flights you wanted? How far in advance do you usually book your skymiles flights? Thanks for the info.

call exactly 330 days prior and hold the outbound, then wait for 330 days for the return and book it!

The thing about the Delta page is that you have to have the miles in your account to book. You can call them and have them put the tickets on hold without having the miles though. I am not sure how long they will hold them, but I have called back and extended the hold several times.

Gail, yes, I've had enough to fly coach for free for awhile. But I've always been able to get a good enough rate that I decided to save up for 1st class :)

Why use your miles when I've been getting r/t for less than $150?

I totally agree, I would not use my miles for a fare that is low, that is why I am going to use my coach (drat) miles for a trip to Jamaica. That is worth about 650.+ from CT.
