hi,

if anyone knows, someone out there will. i read this somewhere... if you rent a car via disney travel co., you'll be able to park for free at the parks... true or false?

without early entry, one advantage to staying onsite is the parking issue. if this rental car thing is true, this would be confirmation for me to stay off-site.

anybody?

thanks

No, as far as I know, you only get free parking if you stay at a Disney hotel.

also free parking if you have an AP.

I'm a little confused by the post. If you book (a package which includes rental car) through DTC . It would follow that parking would be free because Disney Travel Co. only books Disney resorts/hotels. Do they also book Good Neighbor resorts? In which case parking would not be free.
mrsmouse, perhaps you could explain , further?

You can book the car "through Disney". I know on the travel site if you follow the link it will take you to national. Maybe that is what mrsmouse is referring to?

Bottom line, if you stay off site you'll pay for parking; unless you have an annual pass. car rental has nothing to do with it.

sorry for confusion.

i read, or perhaps misread, somewhere and wrote it down in my passporter this. i am asking if anyone else heard of it, so i can discard if not true...

what i wrote down was if renting a car through the disney travel company (i'm not sure if that was intended to be in conjunct with a package), parking was free for the parks.

i know it sounds kooky, i'm just asking you all.

thanks! :)
