Hey.. any of you who are not going out NYE... we never do as Tom refers to it as Amateur night...long story.. but last year lots of us came to chat and were there for the New Year.. It was very moving..friends that we had made in chat that year were together in one place when the New Year rang in.. Just a thought, if you are around.. Hugs...

We always go to dinner at the same restaurant. It's a very nice place and reservations have to be made in September! We usually go to a movie afterwards. I should be home later, closer to midnight. I will make a point of "popping" in when I get home! :D

Oh, I wish I could join you......
Every year we have a little party with family and friends, and this year it's at my house.
So, I'll try to leave work early tomorrow and rush home to start cooking diner. At 7 the guests will arrive. We will eat, drink, play games (trivial pursuit, Disney Monopoly:D ). At 12 we will drink a glass of champagne (it hate it, but it's tradition:rolleyes: ) and then we will go out to watch the fireworks. New Years Eve is the only time of year when people are allowed to light there own fireworks, so there's always a lot of it!!
It will be a long night and I'm sure some of my friends will end up sleeping at my place.......
So, I don't think I will make it into chat!

Still haven't decided whether or not I'll be able to join you guys in chat. We usually stay home--well at least since Michael was born--but I want to do things with my family (play games, watch movies, eat, drink, and be merry :D ), so I don't think I'll be able to make it.

I am sorry I didn't make it. I spent the evening with my kids at home. I was so crazy cooking dinner that I didn't get to my computer till today (when I finished washing the dishes - no dishwashers down here). I prepared roast beef with mustard sauce on the side, potatoes, salad, ice cream pie. My kids wanted to stay awake until midnight. We turned on the CD player and me, ms DJ, played their favorites: Blue Suede Shoes, jailhouse rock, Twist and Shout. We entered the new year to the sound of my all time favorite, Johnny B. Good, with my son Bernardo dancing frenetically in his knees as if playing an invisible guitar. Then we had a private fireworks showing. This year there were fireworks not far from my home. All of sudden we noticed that we had privileged view point to watch the high fireworks. And they kept coming almost till 1am! We toasted with guarana, our own soda, that has the same color of champagne. It was fun.
