I have finally hit the point in my training again that I need fuel as I'm running. I had a couple of the little Clif Bars that they had at the marathon, but I have used them all now. I went to the store to get more, and I realized that those great little mini sizes (1 oz, 100 calories) that fit perfectly in my fuel belt are not the standard Clif Bar size. Anyone know if it's possible to buy that little size anywhere?

They are a great size! I haven't been able to find them either. For now, I just cut a larger bar in half and put it in one of those snack size baggies or roll in in Saran wrap. This works well and probably cheaper than the minis would be anyway.
If you do find some, let us know! ;)

Clif company makes a kids version of a Clif Bar, it's called a "Z-Bar"- I am pretty sure that it is just a Clif bar, but in a smaller portion. We carry them both at our store. I know the Z-Bars only come in limited flavors- we have chocolate chip, chocolate brownie, and peanut butter. I will check the nutrition label tomorrow and post what I find here.

The Z bar nutritional information is on their website:
http://www.clifbar.com/eat/eat.cfm?location=zbar
Calories range from 120 to 140 per bar, depending on the flavor. I've never had the mini clif bars or the Z bars so I can't weigh in on how they compare in size.

Dan.
