Question about cash days

I was just wondering, is the cash days the rack rate or is it a set % off?

It depends on when you are going and paying cash as to whether or not you will receive a discount. We went at Easter and did not receive a discount.

I am not sure of the timetable, but cash discount rooms are released till like 60 days out. The discount is 25%. Most of the time, there are no or few rooms released for this discount. If you are planing a trip in the future, you need to book with points, rented points or cash now, you can hope for a discounted room to be released, but definitely can't count on it.

Check with CRO about discounted rooms, either with AP's or specials they are running. With the low occupancy since 9/11, there have been plenty of discounted rooms. As I said on another thread, Travelocity had studios and 1 bedrooms at BWV for the first week of December for about 40% off, I checked it about a week before. If it wasn't for the holding rule, I would have dropped the Saturday night for 41 points (1 bedroom standard) and paid cash, it was around $250 with tax. I still would had time to bank those points if I would have seen the special before 30 days.
