I have a Sony DSC-W1 - digital camera - a few years old. I take it everywhere - but I have NO idea how to clean the lens.....I'm afraid of scratching it. I've noticed that I have spots on the photos - they all end up in the same places, so I think it's on the lens - (not entirely positive exactly where LOL) - I can really see them when I photograph the sky - expecially at the beach. I don't know if it's salt water or just random dirt - but how can I clean it off?

I have Zeiss glass cleaning clothes (damp clothes in a little packet that you tear open) for my daughter's glasses - can I use those? Q-tip with water or alcohol?

Please help! :)

Thanks!

You can pick up a cheap microfiber cloth from all sorts of places, that should work well for cleaning the lens. Make sure there's no grit or grime beforehand, though, otherwise you could run that into the lens and scratch it.

If you have cloth designed for cleaning eyeglasses, it should be fine on camera lenses, to the best of my knowledge.
