Has anyone made anything like this? I am thinking of trying this for my dd's. Or, do you have a better way of carrying around water?

We do not carry water, just drink from fountains but last trip we spied some cool, rubber mickey shaped heads that snap onto a water bottle with a carbiner, had to have some, bought 5 of them. Sturdy, quick and the carbiner snaps to anything, cost about 5 bucks each.

I made these with my Cub Scouts pack a few years ago. They worked wonderfully.
I also have the carabiner thing that I purchased at the Interntational Gateway in Epcot. This works great for me as I just hand it on my Bagallini. But the strap works great for the kids as you only need a shoulder to hang it on. Also you can also put your trading pins on it.

I bought the carabiner versions at Wal-Mart (camping section) for about $2. The can be used on beltlops, combined with a pin or camera neck lanyard or used on a belt, or on backpack shoulder straps. The carabiner can also be used to clip a hat on for rides. I think they are great.
