DH and I received an offer from AMEX for a free companion air ticket if we sign up for a 6mnth trial of travel and leisure. Has/is anyone a member of this? Is the offer for real? Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

No, but I am an AMEX cardholder and would love to know more. Is it travel and leisure, the magazine?

No info about the amex deal specifically, but I have gotten one of the free companion ticket vouchers through another promotion in the past.

We ended up not using it because we were able to buy two tickets for less than they wanted for the one full price fare. :confused3
Also you need to be sure to book well in advance of your travel dates as the available seats for these promos are usually pretty limited.
Depending on when/where you're traveling they can be a good deal, but be sure to compare prices first.

No, it seems to be some type of travel club. Part of the reason I am so skeptical is they didn't give alot of details.

I also am an AMEX cardholder. I usually don't even consider these type of offers. For years I have found AMEX a reputable company. That is the only reason I would even consider it.

It's my opinion that these offers work best for 2 people and usually traveling cross country. Once my dh had 2 free AA tickets and we are a family of 5. With all the restrictions, the flight plans, the extra 3 tickets on the flight that "worked" with the free tickets, it just didn't pay. I ended up giving them to my sister and niece to fly from Seattle to New York.
