Room for the "older" Princess

Anyone have any idea on a nice, but mature "princess" bedroom theme? Don't get me wrong, I love the Princesses but at my age, I really don't think i'm comfortable with cartoon Princesses in my bedroom.

Basically, I don't want it looking like a little girl's room.

I would do something that has Moroccan feel with lots of deep, rich fabrics. Are you buying new furniture or are you just looking to change textiles?

I am not a huge fan of the patchwork look, but this was exactly what I was thinking! (And by your sig pic...it looks like you are a Jasmine fan!)

Think "themed" room instead of princess room!

I probably might get new furniture - and my color choice for the room is blue and lavender. I'm not set on making it exactly a Princess room yet but it's one of my choices.

First I would suggest checking out different websites: Macys, Target, JCPennys, etc. to get an idea of what style you're looking for. That will assist you on what style, theme, color, etc.

Add some very flowy, sheer window treatments, accented with beads or tassels:
