What are your top 5 snacks at Disney World? We have never bought snacks before and the kids (ok, me too) are excited to have them with the Dinning Plan.

Just so you know, the bakery in France never lets you use DDP snack credits to purchase the pastries. Be sure to plan accordingly with your budget.
Other than that (which we do pay OOP for) my favs are:
1. Dole Whip pineapple float
2. Smoothies at KNNR station MGM
3. most anything form Main Street Bakery
4. Treats from Goofy's Candy shop DTD
5. Citrus swirl MK

I like the Dole Whip Float best. The tartness of the pineapple juice blends so well with the sweetness of the pineapple sorbet.
Other favorites:
Norway: Sweet pretzel with almonds, cinnamon rolls, school bread, and also a combination of their waffle with strawberry jam with rice cream. The two flavors to great together.
Germany: Apple strudel with vanilla sauce
France: Peach tart, chocolate croissant
MK Sweetshop: Carmel apple with nuts (I take it home and cut it into more manageable slices)
Other options:
Soft serve swirl cone at AK
Churros from Mexico
Egg rolls from the carts at MK
Pretzel with cinnamon sugar from Wetzel's Pretzels
Yaki Gori from Japan
Ginger/caramel ice cream from China
I think the rice krispie treats shaped like Mickey with chocolate covering the ears are very popular. You can take it with you and eat it later if not hungry in the parks. Stock up at the end of your trip if you have extra unused credits.

I like some of the packaged snacks. There is a yummy trail mix, and a tropical mix. Plus character cookies (the nieces got those)
We also used some credits at Goofy's candy company. Oh yum, DH lilked this place best!

Just a word of warning Busymom,
We were just there on the DDP and didn't have room in our tummies for any snacks. We were full of yummy lunches and dinners. With all those appetizers and desserts we ended up having 28 snack credits left out of 32 (dole whips must be consumed no matter how full you are!!) and ended up buying a whole bunch of chip and dale snacks, cookies, and caramel apples for gifts when we got home.
I wrote down all these cool snacks and then never did get to try any  .

How we did it was use our snacks for fruit salads for breakfast! Half the time I had dessert left from the night before and just had this as well.
1. Fruit salad from the Land in EPCOT
2. Chips from the Fish & Chip shop in UK Pavillion, EPCOT
3. Bottles of soda from anywhere (great to take home with you)
4. Bagel and cream cheese from anywhere (the Fountain view bakery in EPCOT does nice ones
5. Coffee! I did have a refill mug thingy but the one day we went to Animal Kingdom and it was so cold I needed coffee.
I just ended up using mine sporadically and on the last day used 3 to make a meal up (brought chips, drink and dessert as 3 snack items).

Thanks so much for all the ideas. I guess if we don't use the snack credits dailey, we could save for treats on the two day drive home. Good idea. Thanks!

I don't know whether the candy stores would. There's one in MGM which I think might be called The Couldren and they might do them. Otherside Goofy's Candy Store in Downtown Disney may as I know they do some of these on the create your own (marshmallow sticks you can dip in chocolate)

I'm pretty sure they don't have those in WDW-if I'm wrong, someone please tell me where to find them. I'd heard about them, and looked all over for them one trip, but no one had them or even knew what I was talking about.

I know it's boring and perhaps not the best $ value, but we used a lot of our snack credits for bottles of water. We also purchased bowls of mixed fruit or grapes.
That said, I never tried a Dole Whip (yet) and my fav snacks so far come from MK's Main St Bakery.

Wow! I'm mostly just subscribing to this thread because I had no idea that you could get all of these different things using a snack credit on the DDP!!! Last year when we went, we only got water, chocolate Mickey ice-cream or popcorn....for some reason, I thought that was all that qualified!!! EEEEEEEKKKKKK!!!!!

Our favorite snack is the bag of Cheese Crackers! Or should I say it's my DS's favorite snack. We always have some snack credits left over so we buy those bags of crackers and bring them home for DS to enjoy. He loves his 'mouse crackers' (they're shaped like Mickey's head instead of goldfish)
While there though I do have to enjoy at least one dole whip.

We tried a variety of snacks last year. We had great experiences but one of the best was the bakery at Norway. The school bread was great. I would get it again (maybe even 2 of them) I took them back to the room and had one for breakfast! I am looking forward to trying more Norway pastries!

We have never found tigger tails at WDW. :sad2:
You forgot to mention the marshmallows are dipped in carmel, then orange chocolate, then striped. That carmel makes all the difference! ;)
fyi guiltymom, we just got back from Disneyland yesterday, and Pooh Corner had no tigger tails! No eeyore carmel apples either! Hopefully it's just a temporary shortage, and not a change in the offerings. :scared1:

I'm boring -- I use mine for water, too! Maybe a box of popcorn or an ice cream at some point during the week, but since water is what I drink pretty exclusively, it's nice to not have to pay out of pocket for it on a hot day walking around the park, and the bottles are nice to take back to the hotel room for the evening!
Dole Whip Float in Adventureland
Spicy Stuffed pretzel and frozen coke at Lunching Pad in Tomorrowland - must have both together while August sun blazes

Here's my list
1. pretzels (not the sweet ones:sad2: )
2. funnel cakes
3. soft serve ice cream
4. Mickey bar
5. carmel apples
Here's my son's list
1. fudge
2. funnel cakes
4. popcorn
5. Mickey bar
The last time we were there the snack credits could only be used for drinks, popcorn, chips and Mickey bars. Since we love our snacks, I spent lots of money OOP to get our fix. :yay:
I'll still have to pay OOP for a few snacks in August but it won't be as bad as the last time.

I thought I'd gone crazy, but I seriously remembered getting ours at MGM... Come to think of it I debated in my mind because I'd had the BIG pretzel already too and thought that would be really yummy again too for a snack... I opted for the churro though and was happy I did!

I think they are more like donuts. They put dough in a pastry bag with a fluted tip and just squeeze it into the oil, cook, drain and roll in cinnamon and sugar. I've never had WDW churros. I could be wrong, that's just how they make them here.
Of course I've never had a beaver tail either. they could be the same.
Now I'm wondering why I even replied. :rotfl:
