View Full Version : Can we get the photography add-on packages after the fact?
We were married in 2004 and at the time couldn't afford to have all the extra photography packages added to our elopement style intimate wedding. We are going back for our 5th anniversary in 2009 (and for Food and Wine before then - yum yum) and was wondering if they'd let us purchase the honeymoon photography package and the castle/carousel package in 2009 with our purchasing a vow renewal. Any ideas if this is allowed?

I had heard that you could opt for one of the photo shoots up to one year after your wedding, but I can't remember which one it was.
However, you don't need to go through DFTW to schedule pics with Disney Photographic Services (or any other area photographer).
If you want pics in the parks, I'm pretty sure you have to use Disney. If you want pics around the resorts, you can contact Disney or any number of local Orlando photographers to do those for you.
Disney's contact number is: 407-827-5099

I am just trying to understand you correctly here. Are you having a vow renewel? If you are doing a VR, then I don't see why they wouldn't allow you to do add on packages. If you are not and wanting to do the ATF photos, then you might have some problems. I know that the MK photoshoot can be taken anytime within 1 year of your wedding. As for the honeymoon shoot, I don't know. I imagine there maybe couples out there who did not do a DFTW wedding, and may have gotten that photo session. You might want to call DFTW and ask.
We weren't planned a VR, but I'm now thinking I'd like to have one :)
I know it's only been five years since we got married at SBP but it seems like a good excuse to get those photo packages I wanted. I'm pretty sure anyone can get the honeymoon package, but I'm dying for the castle (and prehaps even an Epcot session).
Seeing that our wedding we only planned four months in advance (it took a little convincing my husband to have the wedding at Disney which he is now thrilled we did) I'm sure I can swing a VR two years in advance.

I would think that since you are planning a vow renewal, which is the same virtual package as a wedding package, you should be entitled to do any of the photo shoots you want (for a price, of course:rolleyes1 ). Definately check with the wedding planners !

4orm - Did you ever post a trip report of your wedding at WDW? I saw your pic on the hairstyle thread and thought it was awesome - I'd love to read your TR!
