I was spoken to earlier tonight in regards to this issue too. I was also told to stop any talk about it in my posts. I am betting that this thread will not be well received.

The thread was moved by a moderator to the "Theme Parks and Strategies" forum. The moderator posted in the thread that DISers are to refrain from using words that make a play on profanity. Since that word (Gaylord's last name, if you know what I mean) was used in your thread title, I am guessing that is why you got the infraction. But I don't understand why they let it go for so long and they are just now cracking down on it. . . :confused3 Should be interesting to see how that particular thread will continue. . .

I am just confused....the Focker Crocker thread was not editted to take out the percieved curse word.

Are we not allowed to refer to eachother with said term??? Are we jsut to watch the afforementioned "word play"???

I don't want to get in trouble....I just want to be told what we are and aren't supposed to say???

Help me moderators....I love the DIS and don't wanna be in trouble...I am good person...I promise!!!

What I don't understand is why this thread went on for so long before anyone said anything??? Several of us posted on this thread. How many of us got infractions? I'm just confused. Why was it allowed to continue if it went on for so long before anything was said???

Mickeysaver contacted me last night to see if I had been reprimanded. I had no idea what was going on until I checked me thread subscription list. It was on there that I noticed the problem. I would like to know why I wasn't reprimanded, too, since I was keeper of "the funny word" list. :confused3 Mind you, I'm not asking to be reprimanded.

Maybe someone got offended.

Sorry to anyone that I offended. I thought it was all in fun. I love this website and don't understand why we were allowed to say the same things a month ago and never heard any negativity. Oh well. We still love the disboard.:hug:

i wasn't a poster on the thread (that i remember), but i'm kinda curious as to what happened too. so i thought i'd subscribe to this thread to see if you guys get a response from the mods. i know i see "that term" all the time in threads....never even crossed my mind that it would offend someone. :confused3

The plays on the term "Focker" got more and more inappropriate, to the point that we had a number of complaints.

The webmasters agreed that the innuendo/language/wordplay was out of control, and some threads were closed.
