Hello ... I was just wondering if anyone had any good info or could point us in the right direction for searching for a cottage rental in the summer. We think about this every year and we are usually to close to the summer by that time and just forget about it.
I would really like somewhere the my girls could swim in the lake, the dog could come along, and we could have our own nice little cottage (ie. fairly modern ... no major roughing it for me ;) )!! It doesn't have to be a private rental, even a resort with nice cottages would be ok.
As long as the swimming is good and the dog is allowed!!!
Thanks for any help or hints ...

We rent cottages annually for Thanksgiving....we are 12 family members....we have a great time.
My SIL books everything. We like Parry Sound and Muskoka.
She rents via http://www.ontariocottagerental.com/search.php

Thanks Kerri for starting this thread, :thumbsup2
I am the same as you, have often thought about renting a cottage where we can take along our little dog, but hadn't heard of any sites :confused3

We go to Foxwood Resort in Lake of Bays - very pretty - very clean water for swimming etc. Nice and shallow for the kids! This summer will be our 5th year going. I don't think they allow pets (they have two old dogs that are kept in the main lodge but I don't think I've ever seen a guest with a pet). I'm sure they could recommend someone in the area to rent from - there are a few other cottage resorts on the lake. wwwdotfoxwoodresortdotca.

We rent a cottage every summer at Sauble Beach!! The kids love it there! If you go to www.saublebeach.com there is a link at the side for accomodations. Good luck!! :)

Last summer we rented a beautiful 40 foot trailer from a campground called Homestead on Eels Lake near Bancroft. AWESOME trailer and the lake was great to swim in. The other trailer rental had two dogs. S
