Which Beach after Disney ?

I'm very much a newbie here....
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this question but our family of 5 will be going to Disney 11/4-11/11 this year. On Sunday when we check out we would like to drive to a hotel that is ON a beach and stay one day there. We're flying home on Monday late morning. Anyone have any recommendations for either Atlantic or Gulf side and for hotel ? We are flying out of MCO.

WOULD RECOMMEND EITHER COCOA BEACH (ATLANTIC SIDE)OR CLEARWATER(GULF SIDE). COCOA BEACH IS PROBABLY THE CLOSEST. WE STAYED AT THE HILTON THERE A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO AND HAD A GREAT TIME!!

One more vote for Cocoa Beach....straight shot over on the Bee Line in about an hour and 15...be sure and check out Ron Jon surf Shop...it's one of a kind...Lots of nice hotels...good luck...Ted

OUR VOTE GOES TO CLEARWATER BEACH! IT IS BEAUTIFUL THERE. WE STAYED AT THE RAMADA LAST FEBRUARY AND WILL GO BACK FOR 2 DAYS BEFORE GOING OVER TO ORLANDO FOR A 10 DAY STAY! LOOK INTO IT! HAVE A GREAT TIME!

My vote is also for Clearwater Beach! We stayed there in May last year after our non stop days at WDW! It was beautiful and very relaxing and we also stayed at the Ramada! Have a great trip!

What route are you taking home? We stopped in Destin Fla last summer for a few days. The beaches are beautiful. There is also Ft. Walton beach (next to Destin), which is a slower pace. The year before we went to Clearwater. It is busy, but the beaches are nice. We love the beach at Jupiter/Juno.....my fav!, but a drive south of Orlando. The beach at Sanibel Island and Captiva (West coast, fla) are wonderful and have loads of shells.

We will be flying home from Orlando.
We may end up on the Clearwater side due to the more calm waves and my 4 year old son. The other 2 boys are 10 and 11 and will love the ocean no matter where we stay.
