How far in advance for ME ?

If we book a trip with only 30 days notice will we still be able to use ME and have enough time to get the luggage tags ?

Last year I was able to get my tags in time. But there were no promises. I think it also depends on who/how you booked.

I booked my trip about 2 1/2 weeks ago. My trip starts on March 29th. I received my ME tickets and some other stuff from Disney. They sent it express mail to me. I booked my trip through Disney since it was such short notice.

Even if you don't receive your luggage tags and DME info booklet (which contains your bus vouchers), NEVER FEAR! You can STILL have your luggage automatically delivered to your resort room.

Disney has had this procedure in place since Day One. When you land at Orlando, skip baggage claim and go right to the DME Welcome Center. Part of their procedure is to ask if you used the DME tags for your checked luggage. When you tell them "No," they will ask for your baggage claim ticket numbers as well as a physical description of each bag (using a photo array to identify them). They will dispatch a CM to go to baggage claim and claim your bags for you; the CM will take them back behind the scenes with the rest of the DME luggage, which will be transported to the resorts via trucks.
