We live in Tennessee, and we always see men wearing crocs. I have seen men wearing them at WDW too. In my opinion, crocs don't look as bad as people say. They have them in a different shades of brown, different shades of blue and black, as well as the vibrant colors. I would get them. They are comfortable too.

I bought Crocs for my dh and 20 y/o ds before our Sept 2006 trip. Both swore they probably wouldn't wear them. After one day in mk wearing their favorite sneakers, they decided they would try them the next day. My dh wore them for the remainder of the trip. My ds (20 y/o) said they felt "weird" and went back to his sneakers. He swore they were more comfortable, but I suspect at 20, looking cool was a higher priority than comfort.

I'm a man and I proudly wear my crocs. Right now I only have the Crocs Scutes, but I will be purchasing a pair of the Beach Crocs prior to our trip to WDW in Aug.

The scutes look like your everyday flip flop. Here's a picture of the Scute.

i bought a pair for my boyfriend for his birthday (more so as a joke than anything else and i told him to return them if he didn't want them). he actually thinks they are comfortable, but lame looking. i'd really be surprised if he wears them. he has these ratty old adidas sandals that he likes wearing, but i told him to throw those out and wear the crocs.

If my husband could get away with wearing his crocs all day every day he would. He swears that they are better than his best pair of sneakers and he is a PE Teacher. He loves them so much as soon as he is done teaching he puts them on for the rest of the day. He wants another pair for Father's Day, looks like I am going to shoebuy.com for another pair. :cool1: :cool1:

My DH never really thought highly about Crocs when I and the kids bought our first pairs.
But then after wearing mine to the pool while at POR in Sept, he came back raving about how great they were.....but how they were too small for his feet!:rotfl:
So in Jan he bought a pair of Mickey one's in DTD. And he loves them!!
He wore them the next day at MK and was amazed at how great his feet felt.

I love my crocs; have several pair of beach's and a pair of athens. At first I would say that there is no way I would have a pair of those ugly shoes but after trying them on and eventually buying a pair to wear camping....well I was sold and now have 5 pair.

DH wore his Crocs to the parks every day of our 10 day trip to WDW last September and complained about having to put on dress shoes for dinner! As soon as he gets home from work he puts them on and wears them all weekend as well. I just bought him a new pair for this year's trip!

After my DH made fun of me & DD12 for being "obsessed" with the crocs and trying to figure out what color/style to order for our upcoming vacation, I told him that they were the "preferred shoe for Disney" and were all over the web from DIS-ers. That did it. He had me order him a pair of the "Off Road" ones in black. He is planning on wearing them at WDW, the beach, the showers, etc. He doesn't think I'm quite so crazy now...at least all alone. He thinks everyone is crazy.

I am a 53 yo D,ale, and I love my crocs ! Used to think they were the ugliest things ever ! Still do. But I love 'em. I just returned from 10 days in West Palm Beach. I brought crocs (navy blue), Tevas, running shoes, and flip flops. I only wore the crocs and my golf shoes for 10 days ! I'm looking for another pair (maybe brown) for our Aug. trip to the world. Tell him not to look at them and he'll love 'em ! Good luck !!:thumbsup2

After reading all these posts, I think you guys have started to change my mind about men wearing crocs, and now I am thinking about getting a pair for my tip in May. But I do have a few questions.

First, how good are crocs at drying out after getting wet (like after riding Kali River Rapids), and also, do they stay on your feet when riding a floorless coaster (like Dueling Dragons at IOA)?

That's one of my favorite features about Croc's. My first pair was purchased just for a trip to WDW. It rained some portion of every day on that trip. When the rain stopped, I just took some papertowels and dried them out. As soon as you do that, they're completely dry, not damp, but really dry. Another plus is that the material they're made of won't support the growth of bacteria or odor.
I don't have a problem w/ them staying on during rides, but my DD does. Her feet are very narrow and she says she "just feels like" they're going to fall off. She usually takes them off when she rides something where her feet will be dangling. I never do.

I picked up a Pair of caymans for our trip. Cant wait to try them.
The pair doesnt fit as snug as the 'beach' model, I guess since cayman are 2 size range.

Anything to go a disney trip w/o blisters

My DH wears his. He even has a red pair of Mickey Mouse ones. At first he was skeptical; then he tried my crocs on and loved them. Definietly for whomever wants comfy feet! :cool1:

Another option that might get more men into wearing Crocs is they now come in sports teams: college and NFL. They have both at Dick's online.

Could you tell me what size your 10 yo son wears? And are they beach or cayman? And are they Disney crocs? Thanks so much.

My husband & son just bought crocs yesterday for our upcoming WDW trip (May 07) at Eastern Mtn. Sports - son bought black & husband bought chocolate. My son says he is going to wear them in Disney & husband says that he is going to "bring" them & see how many other guys are wearing them. They both put them on last night when we got home and said they were really comfortable - very lightweight - like walking on air. :)

My 10yo son, who wears a size 5 1/2 in sneakers, wears size small Beach Crocs. He has both "regular" and Disney crocs, both in Beach style-and absolutely loves them! :thumbsup2

DH loves his too. Neither of us had a pair before gong to WDW in Jan and I wanted a pair of Mickey ones. After the first day we were there, DH's back and feet were killing him. He has back and knee problems so I was very worried about how well he'd handle all the walking, esp after a plane ride. He bought a pair of black Mickey ones and with in 20 mins his feet and back felt a ton better. He wore them (with socks) for the rest of the week and he actually made it until the second to last day before he wa in so much pain that he had to leave the park early. He actually said one day that he couldn't wait until it was warm enough to wear them here at home. He has to wear socks with them all the time though because he still gets little rub spots ont he sides of his feet.

BTW, I did finally get mine too! I wear them more often than DH does.

I have three pair of Crocs - Beach, Mickey, and Scutes. I want to buy a pair of Crocs for my husband. He is looking for one that is good for wide feet. I have wide feet and the Mickey's fit more loosely and comfortable than the Beach but the Beach is fine. Which would be good for him (I doubt he'll wear the Mickey :confused3 . Is there something more comfy for wide feet than the Beach?)?

Someone correct me if I am wrong, yet I thought all of the Disney Crocs only come in Beach style. :confused3 My Caymans, on the other hand, fit much more snugly.

They are probably the same. For some reason (random I'm sure), my Disney ones are more comfortable than my beach ones of the same size. I suppose that I will order him a pair of beach to try.

My DH has been wearing crocs for 3 years. He has several different colors.:rainbow: He is a BIG guy with BIG feet, he gets the beach xxl and has never had a problem. He owns a bicycle store and wears them to work most days. This will be his first trip to WDW and that is what he will be wearing everyday!:flower1:

I have been convinced! I'm ordering DH some NCAA Crocs, and DS4 some cayman mickey crocs! I'm confused about the sizing for DS4 ... he usually wears 11.5. Should I get the 10-11 or the 12-13??? Anyone know?
