Does anyone have any experience at any of the folllowing homes? We're going in late December with MIL/FIL - BIL/SIL/DN - my mom - our family of four
Emerald Island
Sand Dancers
Bonita
Royal Floridian
Rolling Hills
Orlando Luxury Home
Terra Verda
Hideaway
Windsor Hills
Emperor's Paradise
Gigha
Mickey's Castle
The Whitney
There was another home in Oak Island Cove, but I couldn't get the link to paste in this post. Also, the Rolling Hills home doesn't have a 'name' but it was billed as "Orlando Luxury Home" on the web.
Any experiences or knowledge of any of these homes is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

The Bonita is owned by Deb on this forum. I am not sure if there is a review posted but there have been other people on this site who have stayed in her home!

TwoPoohs,
Mainbound is staying at Gigha villa now. Go to the thread : Windsor Hills - Whirlpool Tubs post #12 and you may be able to get some questions answered.

We've stayed in Rolling Hills about 3 times. We loved the location (try Mapquest & search Magnolia Bend Court in Kissimmee) and the home looked about 5 yrs. old. The bedrooms were much more spacious than the home we stayed in Windsor Palms (sister of Windsor Hills)
My neighbor stayed many times in Emerald Island and enjoyed it too.
We rented thru Villadirect.com. They were good but we haven't used them since Apr. 05 (we since bought a timeshare) and their prices, esp. fees, have gone up a lot.
We looked at Oak Island online and prices were cheaper but then we drove around and saw it in person. It wasn't bad but definitely much older (prob. 20 yrs. old) and a little "dated" looking if that matters to you.
Other nice neighborhoods in that area are Indian Creek and Formosa Gardens.
Rent from someone who lets you choose the home esp. location. Our first rental experience was thru Families First. It was cheap but you don't find out where your home is until checkin. They put us way down Rt. 27 about 10 miles from WDW and US/IOA was approx. 40 min drive.
I hope this helps! :goodvibes

Please, do NOT rent from Villadirect! They're famous for cancelling guests reservations at the last minute if they have issues or problems on their end. Also, very non-responsive to guest problems. Normally I won't say anything bad about anyone, this is the one exception to my "rule"!
You can rent the same homes direct from the owners and at least get some assurances they won't cancel your reservation on you.
Wow, I'm surprised to hear that. They were great for us but as I said it's been 2 years since we used them. Maybe they're under new management. :confused3
Glad we got the TS! ;)

TheMorgans, that seven dwarfs lane is quite a drive from the parks. We drove by there going to Target and Walmart one day. I would think it is a good 15-20 minute min in no traffic to the parks.
Go to www.floridashaven.com. We rented direct from owners and it is in Windsor Hills. Perfect size home for your group if one of the grandparents can climb the stairs to get to bed (only one queen room is on the main level). I would say this was our favourite home and we have stayed at many.
