Let me start off saying that this is my first attempt at doing a Pre-Trip and then a Trip Report to follow. I love reading other peoples reports and I really have Fairy_Tale_Bride to thank for the inspiration to write a report...she always has such great TR's.
So here is the cast:
Me :bride: - will be 27 at the time of the trip that grew up loving Disney and loved going to Disney. My family would always hold a vote every year for our annual summer trip and we would raise our hands to show our vote and I would always raise 2 to vote for Disney and Disney always won. I also love planning and making 50 million different changes to the plans...it is fun!
DFi :groom: - 28 yrs old Disney newbie...he just doesn't understand but is starting to. His first and only trip to the World was in 2005 with me and we stayed at AKL and he had a great time and started to understand why I loved Disney so much.
A little more of a background is that I always dreamed of a Disney Wedding and to make a long story short that is not going to happen but DFi did agree to a Disneymoon after much pleading and with his terms being to stay AKL or GF. Ok I could agree...just to sucker him in and then I will change his mind on a different resort or so I thought.
So there was a lot of pictures being studied of the resorts and contemplating on the price and transportation etc. Finally we decided....AKL savanna view for us it was and I booked it today!!!
I am very excited and can't wait to do the rest of the planning. I do have to admit I already have like 4 itineraries planned just have to figure out which one will work best with the different ADR's. Plus we have MNSSHP and F&W Festival to fit in also.
So I hope this will be a success and you all will have fun reading and feel free to give me ideas on what to do on the trip.

It is going to be so much fun planning some more and sharing my plans with everyone. I actually just picked out the save the date cards to send out so one more step closer.

I am really excited about staying AKL again...we had a great time there in 2005 and I had a great time there in 2006 for my b-day. We now just keep going back on forth on upgrading to Concierge or not. DFi wants to but I am a little tighter with money and would rather spend the extra $$$ in other areas.

I am the same way! I am sure I will come up with a plan but it will change no matter what...although I am pretty good at keeping my ADR's

Ok I am slightly scattered brained and forgot to mention the details of our trip. We are doing an 8 day MYW park hopper + water park and more + DDP. Last year when I went in 2006 (DFi was not able to join myself and my family because he is in the Air Force and was deployed) I really enjoyed the dining plans since I like being able to do all the sit down restaurants for dinner. I get tired or CS meals and like the snack options...plus DFi likes to get appetizers all the time when we go out to eat.
So now that I have the trip booked next to wait out until I hit the 180 day mark so I can make our ADR's. Still working on which days to go where but these are the restaurants we want to eat at. Any reviews would be great!!!
1. Jiko - this will be our nice romantic celebrating our honeymoon. We (I)have never eaten here so we are excited to try it.
2. Boma - Well we are staying at AKL and we will eat here breakfast and dinner. We really enjoyed eating here in 2005.
3. Liberty Tree Tavern - never have eaten here and will be doing so the night we go to MNSSHP. DFi was not to sure about a character meal but I am too excited about it and he has to experience at least one before we go with kids.
4. Kona Cafe - another new one...or at least that I can remember. My mom said we ate there back in the day but I don't remember it.
5. Grand Floridian Cafe - This is where I had an amazing birthday dinner last year. I found the menu yummy and the service was excellent! I really want to bring DFi back here for him to try.
6. Le Cellier - I ate here last year really liked it. I know it is steak but we love steak especially DFi so I think he will enjoy it.
7. Bongo's - I know it is not on the DDP and this is DFi pick. We ate here in 2005 and actually had a good meal and he would like to go back so we will do this the night we go to PI.
So what do ya think??? I am not too sure about Bongo's and am trying to talk DFi to do a around the world of food cart at EPCOT instead for the F&W festival..more to come on that.
Well that is all for tonight I need to head to bed so I can be rested for work tomorrow, there are always people in the hospital that need to be cared for.
Good night all and thanks for reading! :thumbsup2

In my opinion, if you are doing the DDP, I would not upgrade to Concierge. Several people on the boards have said it was a waste of money. You get so much food on the plan, that you won't have room to enjoy the offerings in the lounge. Now this is just my opinion.

You've got some awesome dining choices! I love all of those and Bongo's is fantasitc too! I know I posted some pics on the Dining Thread awhile back. I just ate at Jiko and they have a pretty interesting menu, but the food is yummy! The bread is also the best! Oh, and get the "Year of a Million Dreams" dessert if they still have it!

That is good advice...plus DFi likes to have more of a hot filling breakfast instead of pastries and bagels. Isn't concierge breakfast mostly that type of food? We really likes eating the breakfast burrito from Mara on our trip.

Well thanks for the thumbs up on the dining choices. I remember reading about the Year of a Million dream from your Trippie but if I remember that correctly it has banana's in it right??? If so maybe DFi will get that...I am not a fan of banana flavored things or banana's in general. The smell of ripe or over ripe banana makes me sick but DFi will eat them even when they are over ripe.

So my Trippie will be going on hiatus until April 6th since I am moving and will not have computer access until then. Since DFi is still Active Duty he got orders to move to England with the Air Force and leaves 1 week from today... :sad1: I will not be going with him since we are not married yet and we already had the wedding planned when he got his orders so I am moving home to my parents next week until the wedding to save some money. So no DFi until just before the wedding....that is 6 months!!! :sad1: :sad2: I am going to miss him tons but hopefully the planning and the Dis will keep me occupied.
Ok enough about that sad stuff let's talk planning!!!!!  I have to first two days set!
Mon Oct 8, 2006 Arrival Day: Our flight is not booked yet we are still waiting for Southwest to release their flights past Aug and I have a free flight waiting for me. Yippie! :woohoo: So I am hoping to arrive at AKL and check in by 2 pm. Originally we were going to just hang out at the hotel/pool and then have dinner at Jiko but DFi had other plans...like going to MGM. See originally I had MGM planned for the end of the week and he looked at the plans and said "you mean I have to wait all that time to go on Tower of Terror?" I started laughing and was like yeah...well he cut me off and said "I can't wait that long to worry about that ride we need to go the day we arrive like we did last time so I can get it over with!" :scared1:
A little background...in 2005 when DFi went on ToT for the first time he was not a fan and yelled the whole time and yelled out for his mom (in a manly way of course). :scared1: :rotfl2: :lmao: I am sure he would kill me if he knew I was sharing this with you but I thought it was wicked funny when it happened and ToT is one of my favorites. So that trip he did go on it one more time just for me and he agreed to do it on the Honeymoon again but we have to do it the first day. So we will go in do ToT and RnR since he also gets motion sickness and sometimes gets REALLY bad headaches from rollercoasters but still likes to go on them. Go figure...so this way if they make him sick we can just go back to the hotel and a whole day is not ruined. After MGM I was thinking of making ADR's at Boma around 8 pm or so since we will have had a late lunch after arrival. We will also go back to MGM sometime later in the week...not sure what day yet though.
Well I will keep you in suspense for what is up for Day 2 until I come back in April the day may have some tricks or treats occurring....See you all soon!!!

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! A Disneymoon in October will be wonderful.
Be sure to save room in your schedule to do some snacking around the World Showcase since you will be at WDW during the Food and Wine Festival. All the food booth options are covered under the dining plan as snack credits (you'll still have to pay out of pocket if you want to sample any alcohol).
The hubby and I love doing this and can spend an entire afternoon wandering from booth to booth sharing samples and watching the rest of the world go by.
Have fun planning!

I’m back!!! The past two weeks have been very busy and emotionally draining so I need a Dis fix. DFi got to England safely and is searching for a place to live and missing me as I am missing him tons. I am back in RI with my parents and am trying to adjust to that. I just got here this past weekend and all of my things will be delivered tomorrow. So onto the plans!!!!!
I tried to make my ADR’s today but the CM told me I can’t until the 11th. I was kinda bummed but oh well I shall be calling first thing Wednesday morning. So on with the plans!
Day 2 Tuesday Oct. 9th
Today we will sleep in and then hang out at the pool since we are going to MNSSHP this night. (As long as it pattern stays the same as last year with the days of the party.) We will start heading over to the MK around 3:30 or 4 for out ADR at 4:30 at LTT. After LTT we will start the rides off with the Haunted Mansion in honor of MNSSHP. By then the party should be getting ready to start and I am really looking forward to going to the party. We are also planning on watching Hallowishes and the second parade. We are not planning on wearing costums but I am thinking of making some t-shirts for the night. We will be staying until closing that night.
Day 3 Wednesday Oct. 10th
We will sleep in this day also...come on it is our honeymoon and we will have been up late the night before. We will go to Typhoon Lagoon today since our last trip we did Blizzard Beach and I love the atmosphere of Typhoon Lagoon. After Typhoon Lagoon we will hang out at the hotel and then head to dinner at Jiko for 7 pm and then some drinks at Victoria Falls after.

Well crap...since I have been internet deprived for a while and I am still trying to get all caught up in all areas I just noticed the hours of operation for Oct are out. Then rumor has it that MNSSHP will most likely be in the nights that MK closes early so that changes everything!!! So we will be scratching day 2 and possibly day 1. I am trying to figure out if doing MNSSHP on the day we arrive to be too much of if we should do it later on in the week. So off to the planning pages I go and have to wait till I can speak to DFi tomorrow to see if he wants to do the party the day we arrive. Any suggestions about MNSSHP on the day you arrive??

The MNSSHP dates for 2007 have already been released and the dates it's on while you're there are the 8, 11, 12, and 14.
It may be a bit much for the night of arrival depending on the length of your trip to Orlando. When we travel down we are up doing last minute packing until around midnight the night before. We have to be up at 4:00 am (MST) and we don't get to our hotel until around 7:00 pm (EST). We usually go for a stroll around DTD and grab a bite to eat but are usually too exhausted to do much more. That being said, if your travel time is quite a bit shorter than ours and you're able to get a good night's sleep the night before I'd say go for it!! :thumbsup2

Well luckily we will be flying from RI so we don't have a really long travel day. DFi doesn't seem to excited about MNSSHP so when I talked to him today he said we could "get it over with" the first night. So now I have to figure out the rest of the days.

I forgot to mention, just in case anyone cares, that today I picked up my save the date cards. I also went through tons of books of invitations and ordered my invitations for the wedding. I am really starting to get excited. I think tomorrow I am going with my mom cake testing and trying to pick that out!!!
I also called and talked to CRO today because I forgot to request a non-smoking room and DFi would kill me if we didn't have one. He HATES the smell of smoke. I also added on a King Size bed...my only fear is that I will have a handicap accessible room and then won't have the separate vanity area. Oh well...I think it is a sacrafice worth while for a king size bed on the honeymoon ;)
So I decided that on Day 1 Oct 8th we will arrive and have ADR's for 5pm at LTT and then do MNSSHP. I am still working on the following days since my original plan is totally out the door. Of course just as a warning my Day 1 may change again. Well until tomorrow...see you real soon!!! ::MickeyMo

This morning I made the final decision on the plans and made my ADR’s!!!!! I am so excited and hope the next 6 months go by wicked fast! So here is the plan:
Day 1 Oct 8th
Since this is the day after the wedding I decided not to go and do MNSSHP so we will go in to MGM as originally planned and eat and Boma’s for an 8:30 pm ADR. Then we will relax and retire for the night.
Day 2 Oct 9th
We will sleep in a little and head into Animal Kingdom today. DFi wants to take things slowly since it is our Honeymoon so this way we can sleep in longer due to the short bus trip to the park. We will then head to the Poly to have dinner at Kona Café at 6:25. Then I figure we could either head into MK to watch Wishes or head to the Boardwalk to walk around.
Day 3 Oct 10th
I am really excited for this day since we are going to do the Segway Tour!!! Since we are NOT morning people and love to sleep in I opted for the 9:30 tour. I know it will be later when we get done but I also know trying to get up earlier in the morning is not a great choice for us. We will then spend the day in EPCOT and have dinner at Le Cellier for 7 pm.
Day 4 Oct 11th
Today we do MNSSHP!!!! How excited am I? We will sleep in this day and hang out around the resort and enjoy the pool. We then have ADR’s at LTT for 4:30 and then we will enjoy MNSSHP.
Day 5 Oct 12th
Another day of sleeping in...I warned you we like to sleep. Then we will head into Typhoon Lagoon...I am hoping around 11 or so. Last trip we only did Blizzard Beach so I want DFi to experience Typhoon Lagoon. Then we have ADR’s at Jiko for 7pm. I am wicked excited to eat here.
Day 6 Oct 13th
Today the day is free...we will either finish MGM or MK if we didn’t get to do anything OR we will got back to EPCOT to do more of the F&W Festival. Tonight we will eat at Bongo’s (still need to make the ADR’s) and then head into PI and if we don’t like it we will head to Jellyrolls.
Day 7 Oct 14th
Today is another free day...we will do whatever is left over like Day 6. I am guessing that one of these days we will be going back to EPCOT since it is our favorite park and the F&W festival will be going on. We will be eating at GF Café with a 7 pm ADR and the night is open and sadly we leave the next day so maybe JellyRolls???
Day 8 Oct 15th
The day we leave :sad1: so sad. We are going to do Boma’s for breakfast although I still have to make the ADR’s since we don’t have our flight yet. Then back to the real world.

:goodvibes I am sorry to read about your DFi being sent abroad. I know how hard that can be, DH was in Iraq for a year, it was very difficult. Okay, so I was reading your pre-trippie - it was like ai was reading my own. Disneymoon at AKL (Sept. instead of Oct.), same age, I am obsessed with Disney, DF doesn't get it and just humors me with it, DF gets headaches from rollercoasters but still likes them, first MNSSHP. Too funny. Only difference is DF loooooooooooooooves TofT.
Your itinerary sounds great. Did you decide on invitations? I am trying to decide right now, and there are like a bazillion choices. I think I finally narrowed it down to 6 options.

I did pick out invitations last week. That was actually kinda boring...my least favorite thing to do so far. Plus they can be soooo expensive and too many options. Oh well I found ones I like so that works. It took me 2 hrs today to pick out my shoes...I am not good in heels since I am a nurse and former military so I don't do heels.

Well not too much on the trip itself to update on. Just looking through the spa information to try to budget that in. Plus I am still waiting for the Official MNSSHP dates to be released and for SW to release there flights for Oct.
Not to mention I have been looking for flights for DFi to come back from England for the wedding itself. Anyone know of a cheap airline to fly international with?
I do have an update on the wedding though....I found my cake!!!:cake:   The cake flavor is chocolate (my favorite) and is soooooo yummy. We are going to do some changes to the cake since some of the things I don't like about it but that won't be done till Aug or so. Plus the lady who does the cakes will be doing the design over this summer.
So it is a castle cake!!!! I am a huge dork but I wanted a Disney wedding wicked bad in Disney but DFi did not go for that neither would he do a full Disney theme so this is my little piece of Disney. The castle is at the top of the cake with a staircase coming down and at the bottome we will have the Mickey and Minnie bridal figurines at the bottom with scattered rose pedals around the cake. Here is a picture:
http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g67/luvfigment/cake-6.jpg
So there will be less flowers next to the stairs and in different colors along with the castle itself will be a different color. Plus the colored roof will be frosting instead of paint like in the picture. Finally where there a scattered bricks in set of 3 around the cake those will be turned into Mickey heads.
Well I would love to write more but I have to go work on my resume some more so I can get a job! See ya real soon!!!!

I got my LGMH today!!!! Now if only I can figure out how I am going to decorate them. DFi is going to think I am crazy when he sees them...he just doesn't understand and won't see them until we get down there.
No other changes to the trip yet...still looking at all the Spa information. Nothing like a little pampering on your honeymoon. Thanks for reading!

Thanks for reading my trippie!!! That is too funny that there are so many things similar. Have you every stayed AKL before??? It is beautiful and I am so excited to be going back!
We have never stayed at AKL. I am so excited, too, though. I cannot wait!!!
I think I finally decided on an invitation. It took forever to decide between a lot of photos or just text with colors and ribbons and stuff. But we are going with the photos. I have looked at sooooooooo many shoes. Nothing is what I want, though. I do heels every day, so that is not a problem. Finding a tall enough heel, though, has been. I want us to be close to face to face during the ceremony, so I need to find a 4 or 5-inch heel. All I am finding are dinky 2 and 3 inch heels. :sad2:
Love your cake!!!!!!!!!

I just got all caught up. Your cake is beautiful! I actually have to finally decide on a cake this week (I am definitely more of a last minute type person....we don't even have our limo booked yet!). Time to get cracking!
You will love the AKL. We stayed there last year in November and loved it. It's wonderful and romantic. There's plenty of activities to particip[ate in, Victoria Falls is a lovely bar and just sitting outside watching the animals is amazing. I know that you will have a wonderful time!

Thank you!! I am really starting to get excited about the cake. I really liked it but then I worried about the people who just don't understand my love for Disney but I figure forget them...it fits me. I am hoping to buy a bottle or wine from Jiko or the bar and then sit with on the balcony and watch the animals at night or hand out at Victoria Falls.

Not too much in the update of plans. I am still working on the whole spa thing and decided we will either go to GF or stay at AKL for the treatments. Still working on what we are going to do also...too many choices. I am thinking we will either do it Thurs the day of MNSSHP since we have an open morning or on the weekend since we have 2 "free days." Now that I wrote that out I think Sunday, our last full day, would be a nice way to end the trip...plus we are eating at GF Cafe that night for dinner.
I am also second guessing my dinner time at Le Cellier. I have been reading a lot of TR and seeing that there has been a trend of people waiting 30 mins. before being seated at their ADR's and I don't want to miss Illuminations...so to change to 6:30 or not. :confused3

So Sunday it is for the day/morning at the Spa...our last full day and a nice way to end a honeymoon. Now I am not positive on which treatments we will do but I was thinking the Aromatherapy Massage and Body Wrap (110 minutes) at AKL or the Grand Romantic Couples Massage (50 or 80 minutes) at GF or the Couple's Relaxation Package (2 hrs with tea for two in between treatments) at Saratoga Springs.
Then I start thinking that once we get done paying for all this we could upgrade to Conceirge...what we originally wanted to do but I wanted to save money. Now if I ask DFi he will just say do both :scared1: and then I will  at him b/c there is no way we can afford that now that I scheduled eye surgery for June. Did I mention that I am sooooo excited I am finally getting Lasik eye surgery!!!
So who knows what to do...any opinions???

Luvfigment,
There are a few good reasons for upgrading to the concierge level. The most important to me would be the sunrise and sunset safaris. You have already made your ADRs and are on the DDP. You probably won't be able to enjoy the offerings in the Lounge because of all of the food in the DDP.
As for the Lasik surgery, we gave my daughter the surgery for her college graduation. She said it is the best thing she could ever do.

After talking with DFi we decided to do the spa treatments instead of the concierge. Since we do have the DDP and DFi is a "hot" breakfast person plus we have ADR's for dinner already set we decided against the Concierge so Spa treatments it is. So on Sun 10/14 at 1100 we will both have an Aromatherapy Massage and Body Wrap!!! I booked it today...we just figured what better way to end our honeymoon than a nice relaxing treatment.
As for the Lasik eye surgery I had an appointment yesterday for the screening and I am a canidate!!!! YIPPIE!!!! My eyes were seriously dilated and I could not see anything up close yesterday when I had my glasses on and actually today I am still sensitive to light and my right eye pupil is still huge...but it is all worth it in the long run.

Yeah for you! Your trip sounds great. A little pampering is going to be fantastic. I am glad you chose the massage over staying concierge. You will still get great service so don't worry about that, the snacks aren't too special, just convenient. We stayed at Wilderness Lodge for our honeymoon in 1998. We had such a great time that we have gone at least 3 times a year since then, staying at a different deluxe resort each time. I hope you have a fabulous wedding and honeymoon. Congratulations!

Oh well.

I am so excited to find your report! DH and I were married last October and we're are going to WDW for our first anniversary this year. Our travel dates are the 14th through 20th, so our days overlap with yours a little! I will definitely stay tuned into your TR. I plan on starting mine sometime in June or July. Keep the updates coming!

Thanks for reading...Yeah I kinda started mine a little early but I was too excited to wait plus with DFi moving I needed something to occupy my time so I won't miss him so much. Nothing like a little Dis to cheer you up. Are you going to do MNSSHP at all? Let me know when you start your so I can read it...I am not addicted to Trip reports.

So I think that I need to change the name of my Pre Trippie to include a Pre Wedding report also because I have more wedding plans to update. :goodvibes Hope you guys don't mind me sharing it all but oh well I am anyways.
So I just got the confimation today for the music set up for my wedding and got a great price!!! At the ceremony I am going to have a string quartet with a trumpet for all the music. Then during the cocktail hour we are going to have a steel drum band playing. I wanted that to get the Caribbean/West Indian feel b/c DFi is from Jamaica and I wanted to get tie that in. Then we are going to have a DJ for the reception. Other than that not much to report...thanks for reading!!!

I am having a major issue with this. Hopefully my issue will save you some later grief. See DH wanted to relax too:sad2: So I didn't over plan. Well, now, 2 weeks before D-day, I am scrambling because I feel utterly unprepared. :scared: So, take my word for it - go ahead and be OCD. Well it was another busy week with very little Dis time, which is always sad. So I was interviewing for jobs this week and FINALLY got one!!! Yippie!!! I am going to be working in a Cardiovascular clinic and accepted the job Fri afternoon. I think I will be starting on Wed b/c Mon I have to renew my ACLS (Advance Cardiac Life Support) and Tues I already have an appt to highlight my hair...LOL. I know I know but I have a very strict schedule for my hair to grow the most and look its best for the wedding in Oct...so Wed I am hoping I can start. I just can't wait to get paid again!!! I also have been spending my weekend reading up on the heart and reading EKG's aka heart rythm strips. Soooooo.....
I also have started to come up with a list of must do's on the trip for each park for the trip and I really need to book our flights. I was hoping my flights from last weekend would credit on my Southwest rewards so I could cash in on my free flight and then just have to pay for DFi's. So I want to get that settled before I start work on Wed.
So here is my want to accomplish at MGM:
Tower of Terror
Rock n Rollercoaster
Stunt show
Muppet Vision 3D
Star Tours
Great Movie Ride
Backlot Tour (not my favorite but DFi has never done it)
Pictures:
In front of hat closer up.

Well that is all for now....I really need to get back to studying for my ACLS class and try to fit in my walk before it starts raining again. :headache:

:Pinkbounc YAY! Congrats on your new job! I love cardiac (not as much as NICU, of course, but it was my second choice!). It was overwhelming at first, but I had a great teacher. Once you get the hang of those strips, it's great LOL I remember when I first looked at the strips and felt a bit faint, wondering how on earth I would ever be able to look at it and say, "Oh yea, that's a 2nd degree heart block or that's V-tach..." Anyway, I am so, so happy for you! :dance3:
Great MGM list! I will be in MGM Thursday night  (I can't believe I'm saying that!!! YAY!)

Thanks for the luck I did really well on the test so I am now ACLS certified and will be able to go to work now. The MGM list will be split up in 2 days most likely since we are heading in on the day we arrive and I am sure we won't have time to get everything done before our 8:30 ADR at Boma so we will finish it on Sat.
Congrats on your new job! Good luck with renewing your ACLS and especially having your hair highlighted. Don't forget to keep us informed of your wedding plans.
I am totally in need of a highlight right now...I am still trying to figure out what color to go. I promised my mom that I wouldn't be too blonde for the wedding...she hates it when I put blonde in my hair....I am naturally a very dark brown.
Congrats!
Thank you!!! :goodvibes

I totally forgot to include Indiana Jones on my list for MGM. This is one I haven't done in YEARS but DFi has never seen it and might like it. I really like Walt's Dream but I think DFi would be bored since he is not the Disney freak that I am.
Next up my to do list for AK:
Expedition Everest
Safari
Dinosaur
Kali River Rapids (on our way leaving and if the line isn't too long...I hate walking around with wet underwear)
Tough to be a Bug (I love the 3-D)
Nemo musical
Maharajah Jungle Trek
Pangai Forest Exploration Trail
Maybe Lion King if DFi will sit through another show.
If we have time I would love to do Primeval Whirl myself. I love this ride but DFi will get deathly ill on it :crazy2: .
Pictures:
On the bridge with the Tree in the background

Character meet trails...this has become a tradition for me.
I do have a small update in the wedding area. I have another bridesmaid for my wedding!!! YAY!! My really good friend that I was stationed with while in the Air Force lives in Germany and will be in my wedding!!! She got permission from her supervisors that she will get the time off and be able to come to the wedding!!! I am so excited and I think she is even more excited. She writes me e-mails almost everyday with questions!!
I also really need to set up an appt to pick out my flowers also...so that is coming and since my wedding is like 4 months away I have to work on getting my alterations started also. Holy Crap my wedding is 4 months and 2 weeks away!!! Even crazier I just realized my birthday is 2 weeks from Wed.
Ok that is all for now...I will have more updates this week!!!

Why don't you hit up the dollar store for those cheap ponchos and just throw them on before you ride the ride. Then you can take them off after and just throw them away of you want, cuz they only cost a buck! :thumbsup2

Well I still am working on the plan of attack for MK since we will be doing most of the rides during MNSSHP and possibly returning another day. In this list I am just going to cover rides and pictures at MK that I want to accomplish in general (that is MNSSHP and on a hopping day.) I will do a separate MNSSHP list once it gets closer and all the times of fireworks and parades are released for the party. Plus I still need to read and take more notes and I just don't have to time right now.
So on with the list. :hmghost: :tink: ::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo
Haunted Mansion
Thunder Mountain
Splash Mountain
Space Mountain
Pirates of the Carribean
Jungle Cruise
Mickey's Philharmagic
Peter Pan
People Mover (Transit Authority for thos newbies out there)
Carousel of Progress...if open
Buzz Lightyear
Laugh Floor Comedy
If we have time and there are no lines during the party.
Dumbo (just because I haven't done it since I was like 6)
Pooh
Snow White
Hall of Presidents (if we go back on another day and have time.)
Swiss Family Treehouse (see above)
Now with the pictures (not including MNSSHP night):
On Main Street with Castle in the background
Photpass with Tinkerbelle in our hands
In front of castle with Walt Statue
Rose Garden with Castle in the background
Garden are near Crystal Palace with Castle in the background
Back side of the castle from Fantasyland
Castle picture from the People Mover (this is a tradition)
From train station looking down Main St.
At the front entrance with train station in back ground.
I think that is it for now like I said I will be coming up with a plan for MNSSHP. I also am starting to think of a possible basket or maybe some chocolate tuxedo strawberries for me and DFi for the arrival at the hotel but we shall see how the finances go for with that.
So those are the plans for now. Thanks for reading and hope you are enjoying. Oh yeah I am starting to look harder for t-shirt designs also. I am kinda afraid to make them just b/c I am a visual person and the darn directions are confusing me! So I will keep you up to date on the designs I like!

Ooooh, AKL photo ops. I definitely need that list. I have been debating whether to hire a Gifts of a Lifetime photog to follow us around one day and take photos. I plan on a lot of Photopass and buying the CD, but I think I want some candid shots of us, too.
As for the bouquet, it is all red (dark like blood red, not bright red) with roses, tulips, dahlias, cala lilies, etc. Then because we are doing the wedding outside, I wanted some kind of natury stuff, so it will have sticks and berries in it, too. It sounds strange, but I saw some done and loved them.

Your bouquet sounds beautiful!!! Let me tell you there are some great photo ops at AKL. That list will be coming at some point I promise. That sounds cool about Gifts of a Lifetime...I didn't know they did that. I did the Photopass CD last year and LOVE it!!!! I think it is worth the money personally (make sure you look at all the photo's first.) But I think the candid shots would be fun also...now you gave me something else to think about.

Hi Kerri Lee, I have enjoyed reading your trip report.
Wow you haven't been on here in a looooong time...maybe it is because someone is always using the computer so you can't get on. :rotfl: Thanks for joining and glad you are enjoying it since I torture you almost everyday with the plans but that is why you love me right Mom?

That would be great if you can let me know about the details!!! TIA. I haven't talked to AKL yet but have been thinking about it. But I also have the name of someone who works for Disney that sets special events and baskets up so I would rather work with her. She told me to wait until about 30 days to 2 weeks before you trip to set something up. So I have been thinking about what I would like to do for that. If you want her e-mail at work and everything just PM me.

I'm glad everything is going well. And your job will get better. It's so hard to find something where politics aren't involved. But on the bright side with your training the sky is the limit for you!
Mel, your bouquet sounds beautiful. It really sounds similiar to the one I had. We had the cala lillies and dark red roses. That was many moons ago. DH and I will be married 13 years.
I'm so happy for both of you. Planning a wedding and your life with someone is so special. Good luck to both of you.

Ooooh, you have an inside contact. Nice. I will have to get her info from you. Gifts should be calling me back next week, then I will give you all the info.
So, I am still trying to narrow down on catering for the wedding, and I still haven't decided on bridesmaid bouquets. Ugh, I am really excited, but this is all starting to make me a little crazy. How is your stuff going?

So last Wed was my birthday so I wasn't really on the boards at the end of last week and was going to get caught up this weekend but that never happend becuase my sister surprised me very late Friday night by flying into town and I had my bridal shower on Sunday!!!! It was so much fun and my best friend got me my Bride and Groom Mickey Ears for the honeymoon!!!!!! I was so excited.
So there is a long story behind all of this plus pictures but I don't have to time tonight to write it all up...I am sorry I have to get the Thank You cards done and give my mom her living room back (it is full of presents). I have to get this all done my Wed night b/c I have my eye surgery on Thursday!!!
Oh plus I bought our honeymoon airline tickets last week (got my $99 rate back) and bought DFi ticket back from England last night also. So I am hoping to write the story either tom night or Wed night and get the pictures uploaded. My internet is moving super slow tonight so they wouldn't upload and therefore contributing to the delay. Well I can't wait to tell you all about the Shower and post some pictures!!!

So as I briefly said in the above posts the eye surgery went great!! Right now I have 20/20 vision with some blurriness here and there but that should improve and depends on how dry my eyes are.
It was really funny b/c while I was waiting to gt my surgery done the staff there were trying to hire me. They found out I was a nurse and I told them that I had done same day surgery with cataract surgery and the head nurse offered me a job along with the surgeon. If only it was 2 weeks earlier!!! It only took 10 min. or so and when I sat up I could see the clock on the wall although it was pretty blurry from all the fluid that was just squirted in my eyes.
I did have a couple of bumps in the road but nothing too big. I did get a scratch on either my flap or cornea during the surgery so they had to put on a contact band aid but they said it should heal in 24 hrs. Then I came home and went to sleep with my very sexy eye sheilds and woke up 1 hr later in sooooooo much pain in my right eye. Now I have a decent pain tolerance but I couldn't even open my eye it hurt so much. The staff had told me that I wouldn't have pain and if I did to come back b/c the flap might have moved. So I called and went back to the office to get check out. My flap was perfect and they gave me a couple of drops and was fine from then on. I went home and slept til 7 pm.
I am the queen at sleeping and was able to sleep today until 10 pm...yes this was after sleeping almost all yesterday. I was so excited though b/c when I went into the bathroom this morning I could see the leaves on the trees!!!!! I could also read my liscence plate on my car, and could read the alarm clock! :cool1:
I went for my check up today and I have 20/20 vision and as stated above sometimes my vision does get a little blurry but it clears up. I do still have to wear my eye shield when I go to bed and can't rub my eyes for the next week for sure but closer to a month. They also took out the contact and said they couldn't even see my scratch! So all is well. I have typed up the bridal shower story and that shall follow.
I am not suppose to be on the computer too long b/c you don't blink as often and therefore your eyes dry out so it will most likely take all weekend to get caught up with everyone. Hope you enjoy!!

So on to the story of My Bridal Shower:
Last Friday I was getting ready to go out to eat with my best friend Melissa who is also one of my Matron’s of Honor for my birthday and in the process I stumbled upon some wrapped bridal shower gifts in my Mom’s closet. No I was not snooping around I was trying to find a top to wear since it was kinda chilly out…gotta love RI in June. Anyways I just figured my Mom had wrapped them so I wouldn’t find them unwrapped and look at them. So I went to dinner with Melissa and then we went back to her house watched the Red Sox and played with my makeup for the wedding. Since she had to work the next morning we called it an early night around 10:30.
I got home and was watching the news with my parents when the phone rang and my mom acted really suspicious and I could tell it was my sister but she wouldn’t tell me anything more just that she was ok. My dad was getting ready for a meeting I know it was after 11 pm but he runs a company that is a 24 hr operation and had been doing annual meetings with the night shift guys for the past two weeks. Anyways as I was sitting there just before my dad left I started laughing and said “maybe you’re not going to meeting maybe you are really going to the airport to get my DS and DBIL. Maybe this weekend is my shower, although I was convinced it was going to be in Aug. Anyways both my parents told me I was crazy and my DD left for his meeting. I started to get ready for bed and took my time since the airport was only 20 mins away from the house and figured they would be back in an hour if it was true. In the mean time I checked the caller ID and saw it was my sisters cell phone number and became even more suspicious until there were no sheets in the guest room (yes I checked) and that after 1.5 hrs my dad was not home.

So I went to be thinking that I was wrong and Aug it will be for my shower. At 1:30 AM I woke up SCREAMING my head off and saw my sister standing over me. I don’t know why I was screaming besides the fact that I was in a deep sleep and must have been having a bad dream. I finally came to and was totally surprised that DS was actually was here and that I was having my Bridal Shower this weekend…I still had no details about nor did I get any until I showed up at the venue on Sunday.
The bridal shower was great and at a place called Basically British and had a tea party theme due to DFi being in England and the fact that I will most likely be there after we get married also. The tea was great along with the food not to mention the presents. My best friend that I went to dinner with planned most of the shower and got me my Mickey Bride/Groom Ears and it was the first gift I opened!!! I was so excited and proceeded to wear my ears through the whole shower.
http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g67/luvfigment/KerrisShower009.jpg
Then my other bridesmaid that lives in Germany and is a Disney fan (she grew up going to Disneyland since she is from Cali) sent me a Mickey Waffle Maker!!

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g67/luvfigment/KerrisShower078.jpg
With my bow bouquet after opening all the gifts.
They did the game where you anwer the questions about your groom to be and I didn't do too hot. I don't know what DFi was thinking when he answered some of the questions and I gave him a hard time about it later. Although I did get all the Disney themed questions right. Well that is the story behind the surprise bridal shower. I had a great time and was very happy to see my sister. Now I just have 1 week until I get to pick out my flowers and can’t wait to do that! That is all for now and I will keep you all posted!

:wave2: I am enjoying reading about all your Disney plans. My DH and I had a short weekend honeymoon at Epcot (we lived 1 hour away). We were so broke when we got married that we were lucky to have that so I am reliving my dreams in your report. :goodvibes If you can do swing the consierge (sp?), then go for it!
I love the cake and the spa plans. We are going to be at the same MNSSHP as you guys. I'm so excited. It will be our first time as well. :hmghost: I've got my kids costumes figured out but I'm not sure what DH and I are going to do.
Also, I saw that you guys have plans for certain "kodak moments". Did you know that http://www.giftsofalifetime.com/shopping.html has a photographer that will follow you around and snap those special moments? I came across it while looking for gift baskets (so I have no experience with it) and thought it was pretty cool. I bet they aren't the only ones that do this. I am going to be getting a gift basket at memoriesbysarah. They had some nice ones, as did disneyflorist.

I just had to write to let everyone know that our Kerri Lee is a major Disney fan. She wore those Minnie Ears the whole time at the shower. We really pulled the wool over her eyes on the theme. We knew she was expecting a Disney theme so we wanted to do something to surprise her. Believe me, surprising Kerri is hard to do. She is such a sneak! She neglected to tell all of you that after she found the 2 wrapped presents in my closet by accident she continued to do snooping around and found 2 more!
If any of the Disney brides are looking for Disney wedding items, I found www.mouseshoppe.com a wonderful site. I looked all over for the toasting flutes. I found many that were just stenciled but non that were etched. They also had just the right Mickey and Minnie wedding topper.
I have enjoyed reading the thread and also the other bride's plans. It is a fun time and all of you should enjoy every minute of it.
Next big step is designing the T-shirts! Have fun Kerri. :thumbsup2

So yesterday I went to begin the planning of the flowers for my wedding but did not totally confirm everything.
I told her what I like, a compact and round or oval bouquet. For mine we decided that I will most likely have cream roses with burgundy/maroon mini cala lilies. I will also have a ribbon encorporated with the bouquet. We are still working on the girls and centerpieces. I am waiting for a quote on everything I need and then we will move on with the specific flowers.
I know we will not have any lilies (i.e. stargazer etc) besides the cala lilies b/c I am highly allergic to them and will be all stuffed up and have a migrane in like 2 minutes. There also will be no Peonies for the same reason. So I will keep you all up to date on the flowers as it comes together some more.
Here is the picture I have been promising of the flutes.

Oooh, the cream roses sound gorgeous with the mini lilies. And your flutes are so cute!

Those flutes are adorable!
webbie, that is too funny on the snooping. But in luvfigment's defense, a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do. :goodvibes
Thank you, I love the flutes so much!!! I also agree that a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do!! But seriously I was NOT snooping this time!!! I do snoop a lot (it is so much fun) but this time I really wasn't.
Just catching up! LOVE the pictures of your shower venue! The place looks so rustic and charming! Perfect theming for a bridal shower:thumbsup2 Your toasting flutes are so cute. I love them! Sorry to hear about your dry eyes. I have a friend that had that problem after lasik and she said it was very painful! Hope that goes away soon for you!:goodvibes Your flowers sound so pretty! Can't wait to read about more details!:surfweb:
Glad to see you back!! The venue was very charming and we are talking about going back for my Grandmother's birthday. The dry eyes today are a little better but not the best...I am going to the MD tomorrow to get something else to help them. I hope the flowers will come out as pretty as they sound. I actually was ablt to see the color of the cala lilie in person on Sat and it matched the girls dresses wonderfully...so does the bow!!

I also have been working on MNSSHP plans...but they are still in the planning stages. I want to do a little more reading to see what I can come up with. of course I know we won't be doing too much trick or treating. DFI is not much of a candy fan although I am but we are using this night as our MK day also so we have rides to hit!! Plus we have a parade and fireworks to watch. I will keep ya updated on that also.
Thanks for reading!!! Only 98 days until I see Jason!!!! :yay: 103 days until my wedding :cool1: and 104 until the Disneymoon!!!

So I promise y'all a MNSSHP update this weekend. I have had a busy week that included alot of OT at work so I haven't been on that much so I couldn't update like I wanted to. I did stop at Home Depot on my way home today to get some paint chips for my countdown calendar and felt so guilty and like I was a theif...:guilty: but I still need a few more....I am going to start my calendar at 60 days, probably over-kill but oh well that is where I want to start.
I am exctied b/c I am doing the double digit dance :dance3: (99 days) for when I get to see DFi again!!!! It can't come fast enough...I have been missing him a lot this week :sad1: . Anyways enough of my rambling...I will talk to y'all this weekend!

It has been hard but I look at the positives and that is that he is safe right now. Or at least he has been I am getting nervous with him being in the UK right now. Some days are better than other though and I know it is only temporary and that is what I am focusing on.

So I am totally excited because today I can do the DOUBLE DIGIT DANCE!!! Everyone join in!!! :cool1: :yay: :dance3: :woohoo:
99 days until my Disneymoon!!!
Now onto the MNSSHP plans:
ADR's at LTT for 4:30 and plan to be done by 6:00 the latest. I am really looking forward to getting pictures with the characters all dressed up. That way we won't use too much time during the party to get pictures unless we find some Villians :maleficen
After dinner we are going to head to the Haunted Mansion:hmghost: to start off the night!
Then head to Splash Mtn and BTMRR by this time I am thinking the party will have officially started and we will then head to POC. After POC we will check to see if there are pictures with Capt. Jack Sparrow available. pirate:
Then we will head back to HM to get a picture in front of the Doombuggy thing with the ghosts put in by Photopass. We will do a time check and if there is time we will check how long the line at Peter Pan is and ride if it isn't too long. Then we will head to Main St to watch Hallowishes!
After Hallowishes we are going to find a spot for the second Boo To You Parade in Liberty Square or on Main St. After the parade I want to take some pictures of the decorations and will try to ride Space Mtn and see how long the line is at Cinderella's Coach and get a picture there.
Of course then we will do another time check and see what else we can fit in. Hopefully another HM ride, try Bizz Lightyear, and get more pictures. As we pass Trick or Treating spots we will most likely get some candy. of course by 11:00 I know DFi will be hungry but then so we will find some snacks to eat at some point.
I also want to take our time leaving the park and really enjoy the night and decorations. Of course this is all tenative and I am sure there will be tons of changes. I am still investigating MNSSHP and think I may change a few things. I will keep you posted though! Does anyone who has been in the past have any recommendations???

Last year during MNSSHP, there was a Villians show held at the Castle ForeCourt a couple of times per night. After the show, the Villians did a meet and greet, so if they do that again this year, you may want to put it in your plans, since it seems you really like the Villians (like me!). They had Malificent, and the Evil Queen (I believe), the bad guy from Pocahontas, Cruella, and several others I can't remember right now. Just thought I would share. :)

Not to use that phrase again but I am very exctied. I got an e-mail from Disney telling my that my Personalize Maps are on their way ALREADY!!! That was so much faster than I thought it was going to take.
Also my DM (who is the best) went to Home Depot today and got me the rest of the Mickey Paint chips that I needed for my countdown calendar. I was afraid to go back and have them recognize me and have security come and say "Ma'am please step away from the Mickey Paint chips." I have been there like 4 times getting LGMH and then orange ones, and then the ones from the calendar. So all is well that ends well. Now this weekend I am going to work on getting the paint chips free.
I hope everyone has a Happy and safe 4th of July!!!

I went on Tuesday night to Home Depot and they were all out! I must have lots of DISsers living close by. But actually I didn't even see the holder for the Alien Green ones. I have gotten them there before, but this time I didn't see any or the empty holder, so I am worried as to if they are carrying them anymore! After playing golf in the mid 90's on Sunday (it was fun despite the heat) I decided that I wanted to work on my count down calendar!!! I didn't get far but it is a step in the right direction and I removed all the paint chips from their backing. It didn't take too long but alot of them curled so they are inside of some heavy nursing text book flattening out. I am hoping to work on the calendar some more this weekend along with my scarpbook from my 2005 trip. Well that is all for now. I hope all is well with everyone!

Mine were curling at first, too. But there were no problems with them staying flat when I glued them.
That is good news. I am going to try to start the gluing this weekend I am still working on the theme and what kind of paper I want to use. What did you use to glue the Mickey Heads on to???

I am sooooooo upset!!!!! Now I knew Spaceship Earth (one of my all time favorites) was going to be closed on my Disneymoon but I just read that Big Thunder Mountain is going to be closed also!!!!!! I am so sad since that too is one of my favorites!!! Man I am bummed....
Onto other news last weekend I was going to work on my countdown calendar but the time went by too fast and did not get the chance so I am hoping this weekend it will be done. I have to get moving though b/c day 60 in the countdown is coming quickly. I just have to go to Micheals and get some paper to help me out. Although I have tons of stickers for it.

I can't believe the Big Thunder thing, either! Normally something is closed but I've never had to miss one of my favorites. I'm sorry it's happening on your Disneymoon. Try and start a new tradition for your first day...like get your pic in front of the castle first thing. That is always a good start.
Are you counting down to Disney or the wedding:laughing: When are you starting your countdown...30 days? 60 days? other?

Me too!! I just hope the Rockin Roller Coaster rumour isn't true! I would just DIE if it and BTM were closed. And Spaceship Earth, I don't even remember riding that as a kid...I was really looking forward to it this time.
Oh well. Just remember with everything that is closed, we get another excuse to visit again! :yay:

So this weekend I finally did and completed my countdown calendar and I  it! I had so much fun doing it and pulled all my scrapbooking stuff out to put it all together. Now the fun part was having to unpack all my scrapbooking stuff so I kinda made a mess of the room so please excuse it all when you see the pictures...don't worry I cleaned it all up after.
I also went shopping on Sat and stopped in Walmart to try and get some Disney scrubs (oddly they have the best selection) but they didn't have any in my size and there were some really cute Chip n Dale ones that I wanted...oh well. I did find a t-shirt and some POTC PJ's that I bought and have attached those pics also. So here they are!!!

The finished product...sorry it is a little off centered. If you notice the color of the wedding day matches the bridesmaid dresses and of course of first day of the Disneymoon is a LGMH!

I also have a very small confession...this weekend I kinda got nervous and called Disney CRO to get a quote on a few different hotels for the Disneymoon. I have been trying really hard not to fall into the freaked out category with the AKL constructions but this weekend I was feeling a little uneasy and just wanted to see what else was out there and I was thinking of upgrading to GF but there were no rooms available. The gal I talked to was really nice and we chatted a little bit and I decided to hold off for a little bit to see how the construction goes. If things are still a little sketchy I may call and see if I can change resorts.
Now I know everyone wants their trip to be perfect but this trip I REALLY want it to be special and perfect. This is not just beacuse it is our honeymoon but more so because by the time the wedding comes around DFi and I wouldn't have seen each other for 6 months!!! Then 1 week after we get back he has to go back to England so I want our time to be special. So we shall see what happens and I feel better all ready...we shall see how everything goes. Well hope y'all enjoyed the updates and thanks for reading!!! Talk to ya real soon!!!!

Sorry I haven't responded earlier but it has been a very busy week!!! This week will be filled with stuffing the wedding invitations and sending them out for the wedding!!!! Today I went for my first fitting of my gown and I went from the dress being slightly too small when I bought it to needing to be taken in a little bit!!!! :cool1: So I go back at the end of Aug for my second fitting!!! Plus I found some earrings for the wedding and will work on a picture of them to post at some point.
Plus guess what??? 2 months from this Thursday is when I get to see DFi!!!! I am getting nervous though b/c Delta has changed his flight for the 3rd time!!!:headache: I just need to make sure that they don't change it too much so he can make it through customs and make his connecting flight in time. BTW has anbody flown international with a connection in the states??? How long do you need to go through customs and make your connecting flight?? TIA.

So I have been thinking about my vacation time around the wedding and right now i am going back to work after the Disneymoon for 3 days and then will have a weekend off and then I am taking a Monday off b/c DFi is leaving to go back to England that day. Soooo I am now thinking about taking those 3 days off (a Wed-Fri and there are like no MD's in the office on Friday's) and maybe extending out stay in WDW for 1 night. What do y'all think? I am going to think long and hard about it over the weekend and I am also trying to figure out what we are going to do the weekend before he leaves to go back to England. Staying at DM and DD house is kinda out of the question since you know...it is out last few nights together for a couple of months ;) :rolleyes1

Thank you everyone for the responses and 2 month dances/parties!!! I am getting really excited for the trip...it is going to be here before I know it.
On a frustrating note...I won't be extending the honeymoon nor am I going to have enough time to get all of my military dependant stuff done after the honeymoon. I have to talk to my boss tomorrow because they are denying my request to take 3 extra days off. I understand I am asking for a lot of time off (plus haven't been there for a while but I was hired with them knowing that I needed this time off) but I totally forgot that I have to get a copy of my marriage liscence before I can go to the closest AFB to be added on as a dependant. Therefore I need 1 more day off so I am hoping after talking to my boss tomorrow I will get at least that day off. My opinion is at that point why go back from 2 days before the end of the week (especially since we only have 1 doctor in the clinic for half a day on Fridays)! But what do I know...I will be letting you all know what happens.
On a good note today I got my first 2 responses for the wedding!!! Yippie there will be 4 other people there at this point!!! One of them is my really good friend that loves dancing at weddings and we kept the dance floor moving at our friends wedding last year. :dancer: So I have someone to help keep the dance floor open. I talked to my boss today and yes...I am asking for too much time but he gave me 1 of the extra 3 days I wanted after I explained that I have to go to the AFB and get my marriage liscence etc. That was very nice but seriously what is the point of me going back to work for 2 days (really 1.5 as I have explained before about how Fridays are) and then I have a 3 day weekend. But I guess beggers and can't be choosers so I will stop whinning now. Thanks for listening
I just realized HOLY CRAP I need to meet with the cake people!!! August is passing by quickly and the last weekend my mom is going out of town and won't be able to go with me so that leaves this weekend and then next weekend. We still have to officially say that we want the castle cake and what kind of changes I want done to it...like less flowers and the color of the roof and for the roof color to be done out of frosting not paint for the roof. Plus you can't forget about my Hidden Mickey Heads for the bricks!!!!
I am also working on what I am doing to mark off the days on the countdown calendar....I am thinking that stickers may work. I have some stickers for scrapbooking with the different park icons and I could use those instead of big X's especially since some of the Mickey heads are black. Ok well I have rambled enough tonight. Hope everyone is doing well and I will be updating soon with more to-do's as they come up. Thanks everyone for reading!!!

YAY is right...I was kinda nervous though. Well the orginal cake design is back on page 3 Post #38. If you look closely on the side of the cake there are 3 brick put together showing the foundation of the cake and I am going to have to brick be circles to make up Mickey heads...I think. I have to look at it more closely tomorrow. I will try to take another picture tomorrow especially since the cake lady said she was going to redo the "sample" this summer.
What colors are you doing?
I am going to bring a swatch of the bridemaid dresses (chamboard aka rasberry) to have the flowers compliment that along with cream and pink colored flowers...I think I will know better tomorrow.

Saturday I went and finalized the cake and I am sooooo excited for it. I can't wait for after the wedding to show the pictures of it. I revised the one I already posted to help explain things better.
First off we are adding Tinker Belle she will be sitting amongst some flowers one of the tiers see the insert on the picture. We are removing alot of the flowers...there are too many for me and they will be cream colored roses and rasberry color cala lilies to match my bouquet and "filler flowers"...made out of sugar. I gave them a swatch to the bridemaid dresses so the color will match. The roof of the castle will be the resbarry color also and will be decorative frosting instead of the paint. There will be NO toparies (I think I spelt that wrong) on the cake at all including nest to the door. Then on the side of the cake on the different tiers there will be "Hidden" Mickey heads. That is marked on the cake also. Then they will be buidling out the platform at the bottom of the stairs for my Bride/Groom Mickey and Minnie figurine. Here is a picture with the inserts for ya.

Saturday night we also picked all the food for the wedding. Oh I forgot the most important part of the cake!!! We are doing chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling. The mousse filling is very light and not too heavy or too chocolatley.

So my last post ended in mid thought and I am very sorry for that but I was on hold with Disney CRO about the Disney Visa code while I was typing the report and couldn't finish my thoughts! I had called to see if my ressie for the Disneymoon could use the Visa Code for a reduced rate and it couldn't!!! :sad2: I was very sad and then decided to try Poly for sh*t and giggles and they had a Garden View available saving me $426 from the current AKL ressie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't believe it and had to get off the phone and make a pros and cons list. I don't know what DFi would want to do and it was 2:30 am his time so I couldn't really call him and ask him so I talked it over with my parents. (Poor DM and DD are sick of me talking about the Disneymoon and all the changes in plans but hey their life would be boring without me!:rolleyes1 ) So now do I wait to talk to DFi in the AM and risk losing the room and rate or do I go for it????? Well my parents wisdom helped me decide to change to Poly since it is so romantic and has the beach and....it saves us $426!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I then had to call back CRO and change the ressie which I did!!!!
Now I am trying to decide do I tell DFi or do I surprise him when we get to Disney??? That is the question...
I do have to head to bed though so I will finish my thoughts from the previous post with the cakes tomorrow and the food...plus answer all of your responses. I am too excited to do that all now and I REALLY need to go to bed. Talk to you all soon!!!!!

How exciting about the switch to the Poly and it is cheaper than AKL which is amazing!
Once again I have to say how much I love that cake and I can not wait to see what it looks like once it is changed to meet your requests.

Awesome!!!! I think you will enjoy the poly stay better. Both seem romantic but now you won't have to worry about the construction stuff. It would be romantic to watch the fireworks on the beach. Plus being on the monorail line:thumbsup2 It's a dream of mine, anyway. I think telling him would depend on how much he really wants to do the AKL. You wouldn't want him to be disappointed. If he is just "whatever" about it then make it a surprise but talk up Poly like you wish you could do it. Talk about the beaches, etc. Then, surprise!
The cake will be beautiful and sounds delicious.

I was very exctied to fins a spot for Tink. When I brought here in on Sat to the cake place I was thinking she was too big and I didn't know where to put her but then Dyane (the cake lady) and I found the perfect little spot. She was really getting into is and excited saying she was going to do all this stuff! The she said that my cake was going to be so much fun to make and she can't wait and that made me even more excited!!!
I so love that cake!! Can't wait to see the final product!!
Thanks and I will be sure to post some right away. Maybe if we all ask nicely DM Webbie can post a picture for us while I am on my Disneymoon just to hold y'all over.
Your cake sounds delicious and looks BEAUTIFUL!!!
Thank you and it does taste delicious if I do say so myself. I was really surprised because not all wedding cake is good and sometimes chocolate cake can be kinda dry.

I am still on :cloud9: and am so excited about the switch. I did break down and told DFi today...I am HORRIBLE at keeping secrets!!! I took Buffy's advise and danced around the subject of the switch to see how he felt and when I told him that AKL wasn't available he said ok. Then after a minute or so he asked if any other resorts were available and I said Poly and WL, I knew he was really wanting to know about GF so I told him that was not available. He said ok I am happy with AKL. Then the converstation went:
Me: You wouldn't want to switch resorts????
DFi: No I am fine where we are!
Me: Not even if we could save some money?
DFi: No
Me Seriously?!?!? (Now I am panicking that he is going to be upset and I am thinking in my head did I do the right thing? Is he going to be upset? He really loves AKL...do I tell him I switched???) Then I am snapped out of my thoughts and hear...
DFi: Well how much money are we talking?
Me: $426 for Poly and $800-1000 for WL
DFi: No I am fine with AKL!!!
Me: SERIOUSLY!!!:scared: (major panick attack going on)
In a muffled voice I said: I switched resorts
DFi: What did you say?
Me: I switched resorts
DFi: What did you say?
Me: You heard me (while laughing I swear)...I switched resorts?
DFi: To what?
Me: Poly.
DFi: Why?
Me: Because we can stay there for less money than AKL, it is romantic, and I wanted to stay there from the beginning but it was costing us too much.
DFi: Ok you are the expert I trust you and whatever makes you happy!!!!
Awww isn't he sweet?
So it all ended well but I was scared for a minute. So then I got all crazy excited on him and was spewing (is that spelled right) out information about the Poly etc. So it all ended well!!!
Then I remembered that I needed to talk to him about the Spa treatments b/c they were booked at AKL so I decided that was too far to travel and we can walk to the GF Spa so on to planning that I went today while at work. (Good thing so many patients didn't show up for their appointments...more time to plan Disney!!!) So I was looking at the menu for GF Spa and decided to try the Grand Couples Massage at GF for 80 minutes. How romantic huh???DFi likes the thought of that and agreed that was a good choice. YAY!!!!!
So I promise tomorrow or Thursday I will finish the plans for the wedding that I accomplished this past weekend. My mind just totally went on me yesterday with the switch and I want to read a couple of things before I have to go watch my TiVo!!! I was so caught up on the switch that I totally forgot last night was the Season Premier of The Hills and I still have to watch yesterdays and today General Hospital. Ahhh the priorites in life. Ok I will update more tomorrow!!! Talk to ya real soon!!!

Exciting isn't even the word for the switch as you can tell! :lmao: Thank you for the comments on the cake I can't wait to see how it comes out! That is going to be one of the first things i go to look at during the reception.

I think we are going to enjoy Poly also and it does seem so romantic. Now I don't have to worry about construction like you said especially since a couple of days we are planning on sleeping in a little bit. DFi has never been on the monorail so it is going to be fun for him to do that! I will have to try to get to sit up in the front for him.
