Pin Trading...complete Newbie

will someone tell me more about this..i have heard about it...but never thought about doing it...we are going to DL soon...and I was thinking my DD6 would like to do this....but i have no idea about it...

I am not an expert, but on our last trip DD10 started trading. We bought her a lanyard (available at any pin cart or store that sells pins at DL or WDW) and then we bought her a starter set of pins - I can't remember if it had 4 or 6 pins. Then we started to get the hang of it - almost all CM's in the parks and in the stores are wearing lanyards with pins. You pick the pin of yours you want to trade, and the pin of theirs you want! They have to trade - unless they already have the pin on their lanyard that you want to trade. There are yellow CM lanyards and green lanyards - the green ones are only for kids under 12 to trade with, and the yellow lanyards are for kids or adults. It is a lot of fun! My DD was a little shy about it at first, but it didn't take long for her to just walk right up to the CMs and ask to see their lanyards. We ONLY trade with CMs, not with other guests in the park. We are leaving on Tuesday for WDW and DS6 is going to start trading too! Have fun!!!:goodvibes
