Thanks to all of you who have been reading and / or posting along with me since I started this. It's been so much fun sharing the planning and excitement with you all. If I don't make it back here before we leave on Friday morning...everyone have a safe and fantastic holiday weekend and feel free to chat amongst yourselves while we're gone.

And today, Amazon decreased the price for preorders of HP7 by $1. And is it just me, but is the cover art for Deathly Hallows just not up to par with the rest of the books?

I took the kids to Border's the other night, and my son is perusing the CDs. We came across a band called Harry and the Potters, so we had to buy it. It's terrible and hysterical at the same time. The songs are Harry Potter related, done quite badly, but when you have a song title like "Cornelius Fudge is an A#&" how can you go wrong? The kids and I were in stitches all the way home listening to it.

Raglan Road update: Talked with the hubby last night about the drinking / dessert dilemma. As usual Jay cut right to the chase:

"Beer flight #1 gets paired with the appetizer selection; Beer flight #2 pairs with the entree; Beer flight #3 pairs with first dessert; and Beer flight #4 pairs with second dessert. Hobbits have second breakfast, we have second dessert. Problem solved."

Hi everybody! Thanks so much for all the warm vacation wishes while I was gone - I hope you are all doing well. :goodvibes

Overall the trip was good fun - not everything went as planned (when does it ever?) but we really did have a good time and ended up with a very different vacation experience this time around.

A few tidbits to tide you over until I am organized and ready to start with the trippie...

Most of our dining experiences were wonderful with one surprising exception...and I was partly to blame for that one.

There were no flowers waiting for me at the Chef's Table... :sad1:

We used Jay's pedometer to keep track of our steps on this trip with the result that I logged more than 50 miles in seven days and Jay topped 60 miles (I wasn't feeling well for a number of days and while I napped he went for a walk...just call him Mr. Fitness).

Love bugs and relaxing at the pool don't mix.

And in the hopes of leaving you, if not laughing, at least smiling, soon I will be telling you all the tale of how I managed to end up in the men's room at Raglan Road before having more than a sip of my Celtic Sangria. I don't know who was more surprised...me or that elderly man who greeted me as I walked through the door. :lmao:

Er... hello. Sorry for being a neglectorino... lots going on in the private sector lately... things you really don't want to hear about (trust me on that one) but I did want to say thank you to everyone who's been "looking" for us.

I hope to get back to working on this trippie and the other within the next week. So if you can bear with me a little longer we should start to see some action soon.

I mean... you guys want to see just how much Plankton enjoyed the Flower and Garden Festival, don't you? And his new favorite resort... the Polynesian. And surely you'd like to see pictures of the Mandara Spa...?

Brenda, I'm so glad you're back. I hope everything is OK. DH and I had a date night last night, and we went to see The Simpsons. Of course, I couldn't help thinking of you and wondering if you had seen it yet. There were a few parts that I was thankful I didn't have food or drink in my mouth! Wow - - I have just spent the entire day reading this trip report - I was lurking around as I have never ever read a trip report before. 27 years of Disney - DVC for the last 12 - six weeks at OKW every year - and never, ever read a trip report. And now, - - - where is Brenda??

we've spent the evening drinking pomegranate kirs and eating french cheese... the soft kind that smells stinky but doesn't taste stinky. Do you all understand that distinction? The cheese, the name of which escapes me because I don't know French, smells like feet but tastes divine...not like feet.:rotfl2:

Brenda!!! I am sooooooo glad you are feeling better!! I haven't been on in a month because my DH started talking about us not going to the World in November and I got real depressed and my bipolar other-in-law decided to invite herself to spend 3 weeks with me right after my step-kids left after spending 6 weeks with me and school started back and the "powers-that-be" in my district decided to tear my science lab to pieces one week before the year started, so I am trying to teach on the stage of the theatre in my school and I know, deep down, that nothing that has happened to me is as bad as things that happen to you, so I worry about you!

Brenda - - you can never, ever do to many trip or food reports. I have enjoyed every reading moment, my friends have to tell me to "quit" I regale them with your wonderful reviews!! Finish them up - - hurry!! - - - Only another 26 days, plus your trip and two days to unpack and you can start another one. That should help my depression - - we don't leave for WDW until March 2008 - - to many days for me to be counting yet - - - however, we do stay for six weeks - - think how boring my trip report would be!!

Something like 3 weeks until your next trip, right? It will be a trip report trilogy! You can call it the Lord of the Mice, or...um... I can't think of anything good for X-Men and the Matrix.

If F&W has that lingonberry (is that the word?) stuff again, you could entitle the dining report "I eated the purple berries!" (Which hopefully don't taste like burning!)
