Good question. I was wondering the same thing, I don't think I could eat that much food at once.

Anyone know?

We were able to take our dessert to go from Coral Reef last Easter.
My DS also had a cupcake to go from Chef Mickey's.:goodvibes

We did it once when we had dinner at Ohana, but won't do it again.

Since we don't return to the room after dinner, neither one of us wanted to carry the dessert around the parks all night.:confused3

For us it worked better to just skip the dessert. Instead we'd just grab a snack in the park.

Yes, you can take leftovers and/or desserts with you.

There is at least one restaurant (Olivia's) that has refused to package desserts to go. So be prepared for things to go either way.

I've been able to take desserts from Concourse (in a styrofoam container provided by them) and Turf Club (in a container I brought :)). In fact, my server at Turf Club was kind enough to point out which dessert wouldn't need to be refrigerated :teeth:

wolfgang pucks cafe wouldn't let us get our desserts to-go. We didn't ask at any other places, but we did ask there and were told no.

When we went to Wolfgang Pucks Cafe in August we were able to take home desserts. Took a piece of the cheesecake and the carrot cake to go. They packed it up in a foam container and plastic bag.

the almond crusted cheesecake at narcoosees was SO good, when we go back in october, i plan to not only eat it in the restaurant after the lobster, but get an extra one (or two??!!) "to go" after - oink oink oink!!

Olivia's did pack a dessert for me so maybe it just depends on the server. Also other places have been very kind to leave off ice cream or say which dessert would carry best.

At Olivia's we were able to get our dessert packed to go - however, the waiter first had to bring it to the table, properly plated, and then brought us takeout containers.

We have not had issues anywhere else (Le Cellier, Planet Hollywood, Kona, whispering canyon just to name a few).

The only time they did that to us is when walking up and asking to order a dessert to go. But whenever I've been at a TS resturaunt with reservations, I've always found them very accomodating of taking left-overs/dessert to go. Sometimes, CMs even ask, "Would you like the rest of this in a to-go box?"

Check the archives; Olivia's has even refused to do that at some times in the past.

We went last May and never had a problem taking our leftovers and desserts. We are DVC members (stayed in a 2 bedroom), so we have a full size fridge. Everyone was really nice about recommending desserts that would travel well, and they would leave off the ice cream.

Chocolate cake is a fantastic breakfast! (Reminds me of Bill Cosby's comic routine) :rotfl:

Oh, and two times my son was sick or just really tired, and we had very nice CM's at ESPN and Le Cellier who packaged my son's meal and mine to go! My parents were able to stay and enjoy the meal, and delivered it to me later that evening. Very nice people! :goodvibes

My DH, DD, & DS brought back desserts from Chefs de France eight days ago. We did use the DDP but I had to take youngest back to the hotel before dinner was served (not feeling well). DH said the elderly couple next to them also ordered their desserts 'to go'. Good Luck
