Hi All,
We have booked our flights to go back to the "land of the mouse" this Dec, doing a week in Floria followed by a weeks Western Cruise with DCL.

:confused3 I seem to remember reading somewhere that if you have booked with DCL direct that it's still possible to transfer your origional booking onto Dreams Unlimited and get another shipboard credit added on.:confused3

Anyone know if this is true?
Thanx Audreypirate:

Yes, I have done it - contact dreams directly (through email/phone on their website) explain that you have an existing resrevation direct with DCL and that you are interested in switching the reservation to them. Ask what deals (i.e. shipboard credit) they have going and whether you will get these if you switch.

Switching will be very simple - you probably just give them your existing reservation number and maybe have to sign something and fax it back. DO NOT give them your existing reservation number UNTIL you have definitely decided to switch to them - since that may confuse matters.

So, contact them and confirm the terms and conditions of a switch.

Yes, this is a common occurance and you can shop around & do it with other US T/As ... and transfer to whoever is giving the best offer (normally on board credits).

All booking terms & conditions normally remain the same, and you should still be able to access your booking on the DCL website, and make reservations etc on there.

Can't think of any disadvantages really :confused3

PS we also had a nice gift from DU in our stateroom (a Disney photo memory box), which was a total surprise.

Well not exactly "something for nothing" - basically if you transfer your booking to Dreams, they will then get the commission on that booking (even though you initially booked direct)... So Dreams do benefit by you switching the booking.

The reason to say to check the Ts & Cs of any offers before switching (i.e. to ensure that you get the perks/benefits/onboard credit that you are expecting) is that some offers may be "on new bookings onl" (i.e. not for switches). I am not saying that it is that way in this case (I haven't looked at Dreams' site recently), but it is always good to confirm that you know what you are getting before changign anything... :)

Hope it works out for you - Dreams was good for me and would definitely consider using them again when we take another Disney Cruise (we are cruising on other lines at the moment...)

Does anyone know if you can transfer a existing DCL reservation that is paid in full to Dreams in order to get an onboard credit? Sorry to hijack your thread Audrey
Thanks!

Don't know (when I transfered my booking it was quite a long time before the final payment) - why don't you email/phone them and ask? You have nothing to loose... :)
