I just found this web site and wanted to share with my fellow DISsers.

Basically, you can plug in your zip code and find restaurants where kids eat free (or discounted) anywhere in the US. Pretty cool.

ie., in our area kids eat free at Baja Fresh on Sundays -- I never knew that.

Hope it works for you.

Great! Except for one thing -- "The city you entered doesn't exist in our records." Apparently I am living in the middle of nowhere!

Very cool idea...and I so wished it had a bigger database. I tried large cities near me in Michigan and then Chicago and none were in their system. Bummer.

We live in a fairly large metro. area of St. Louis and there was nothing at all for our zip (or the others I put in.) It might take a while for this to get off of the ground but what a great idea.....

After I tried good ole taxachusetts...>I tried orlando, same message. So, they must not have received any info on orlando, yet.

Doesn't work for me either and I entered the 2 bigger cities near me - Philadelphia, PA and Wilmington, DE.

Man! I wish I would've read this whole thread before signing up! There is nothing available in Oklahoma. So, I tried Orlando & New York City. Nothing in either of those either. Oh well....it was a nice idea.

Bummer, guys. I live in Virginia outside of Washington, DC and got five hits in a 20 mile radious...maybe it's Local???

I didn't sign up either, I just entered zip code.

Anyway, in case you have these restaurants, here is what I got:

- Baja Fresh: Sundays
- That's Amore: Tuesdays
- Chevy's - Mondays
- Beef o'Bradys - Sundays and Tuesdays
- Original Steakhouse - Wednesdays

I tried also and I live in ny, I guess there are no restaurants within 20 miles that offer free kids meals.

The city entered doesn't exists in our records. Please enter a different city
I tried three different city/zip codes and nothing comes up within a 10 mile radius.
Thanks anyway.

There was nothing in my area either. Apparantly, this site is just taking off. So, since I know of 5 or 6 around here where kids eat free (James Coney Island, Luby's, a few local places) I went ahead and hit the add a restaurant and put them in. If someone else does this, it could wind up a pretty nice data base.

Kinda scary being told your zip code doesn't exist...:confused3

I'm going to venture to say that the site isn't working right now since I even tried Washington DC, the OPs area and it said nothing found

Kinda scary being told your zip code doesn't exist...:confused3

:rotfl: funny, it told me that too :confused3

Mine turned up Lonestar Steakhouse which I already knew about. I submitted Daphne's Greek Cafe where kid's eat free on Wed. and Sun. from 5-9 p.m. Currently Daphne's is only open in California, Arizona, and Colorado. Offer good at select So. California and Az. only.

We are actually planning on going to Daphne's tonight. :goodvibes Love their Gyros! :goodvibes

I'm subscribing to this thread and hopefully more restaurants will be listed soon.

ADDED-I tried to add Daphne's put it wouldn't accept it. No matter how many times I typed in the website address it kept asking for a valid email address. Anyone else have this problem?

Okay-it finally took it once I removed the address completely.

I've added a few in the Louisville, KY area that I knew have Kids Eat Free nights. You don't have to register to enter a restaurant. I just went to each restaurants web site and copied their addresses and phone numbers into the Kids Eat Free database. Easy enough.

I came up with one when I put in Atlanta. I couldn't find anything for another other city or zip code I put in either. Great idea, just taking time to get going probably.

Hi, my name is John. My wife Lori and I set up the Kids Eat Free website referred to in this post. It is true that our offerings right now are a little sparse. We haven't been able to get the restaurant industry's cooperation in listing their restaurants, so it's up to parents like you and me to share what we know with each other. If you know of places that offer free or discounted meals for kids, please let them know about the website. Soon enough, we'll have places for everyone in the country. Thanks!

I'll definitely do a little research and add any places in my area. Thanks KidsEatFreeGuy. :thumbsup2
