BCV and discounts

Hi all! We stayed at the BC (our first deluxe) this past Thanksgiving. We are looking at going back around the same time this year (although I would love to go earlier for F&WF), only we are looking at the BCV--a one bedroom villa.

My (perhaps silly) question is this: do they generally offer the same kinds of discounts on the DVC rooms as they do at the resort? Do they treat them in the same way, or are they completely separate? I'm so new at all this stuff! We got a great package discount with my Disney Visa last year for the BC so I'm just curious. Not that I'm counting on the same discount (or any discount for that matter) this year, but it would be nice. And then I got to thinking about my question and wondering if I'd even be able to take advantage of any discount if we went with BCV.

In 2005 we got a great price for a 1bdrm @ BCV (FEB)w/AP. In 2006 the best rate was AAA the AP rate was only $5 off the AAA rate. Since we would have to buy the AP and it would only be used for the one trip we stayed with the AAA rate. Good luck I hope you find something.

I booked a trip for a friend for this May and originally had a AAA discount and was able to change it to an AP discount on a studio and a 2 bedroom at BCV. They are not as plentiful but if you call early you should be able to get something. HTH.
