What is your favorite NON Disney park? and why?
Mornin' :goodvibes
It would have to be Sea World as I love dolphins and manatees and I'm not a big thrill ride girl! I love Discovery Cove too but it's not a 'must do' every trip (mostly because of the price!)
how did you find the disboards?
From the Brits Guide back in 2004 when we were planning our first trip with DD and wanted to have a vague plan in place (Yep I had previously been to WDW with no plan and no list of busy park days :scared1:)
have you always lived in the midlands ?
Nope, we previously lived in Redhill, Surrey but my husband's job was relocated. We weren't going to move as I loved my job but then we found out I was expecting (DD) and the thought of a cheaper mortgage (and a career break for me ;) ) appealed so we took the offer.
good luck with all the questions ?
Thanks - I feel like I'm been eased in gently at the mo!
Finding the site sluggish this morning and I'm impatient so another duplicate post - sorry

Hi
Do you have any pets?
What's your favourite TV programme at the moment?
What's the one thing you couldn't live without?
Did you go to university?
Same questions for you :)
What is your favourite Disney memory??
On the last night of our last trip we were in Magic Kingdom late (it was the night before Thanksgiving) DH decided that he wanted one last go on Space Mountain so I said I'd take DD (who'd just turned 2) to see the Princesses. We did this and then Wishes started. Molly was terrified and said she was scared and wanted Cinderella. So we went round to the queue which was very short and saw the Princesses. We went to see Minnie and then back to the Princesses again. Aurora recognised us and we explained we were waiting for Daddy.
When DH returned we decided to go and say goodbye to the Princesses and again there was no queue. Aurora asked DH how the ride had been and then asked her CM to shut the door to the room. When everyone else had left Aurora, Cindrella and Snow White danced with Molly and she had a photo taken with the 3 of them. She looks exhausted (we were trying to wear her out in the hope she'd sleep more than the 20 minutes she had on the flight out!)
http://www.wdwinfo.com/photopost/data/500/65354princess4.jpg
What was your worst Disney experience??
None really yet! When I went as I child we were going round the world so only had 3 days in Florida. I was really ill on the flight out and so I was made to spend a day in bed :confused3 Luckily i didn't know what I was missing!
Do you have a favourite Disney resort?
I have only stayed at All Star Movies and haven't seen them all. I love ASMo but I like the feel of Wilderness Lodge
Madjock

Who is your favourite Disney character?
what is your favourite Disney movie?
If you were only able to catch one which would it be Wishes or Illuminations?
Hi Jo:yay:
If you could visit Orlando for 6 months - what resort/resorts would you stay at?
All of them (I guess that's cheating!)
We'd have to stop in at ASMo as Molly loves the pool and the decoration is such fun
Would love to chill at Wilderness Lodge. DH and DD liked the rocking chairs when we went to nose!
A few days at the Contempory - for convenience for MK and also as I loved the trip report about the conceirge service (sorry i can't remember who posted it!)
Also one of Boardwalk/ Yacht Club villas (if we could do a deal with a DVCer!) as I've never been over that way and the photos I've seen look lovely.
Then for convenience for I-drive the Nickelodeon Hotel and Hard Rock Hotel.
I think a month in each would be very nice!
what did you do before the career break?
I worked as a Data Planner for the Direct arm (don't hate me Carol!) of a holiday company. It was my job to analyse data and make recommedations on brochure mailing programmes.
will you go back to it??
No - I have a good excuse as it was based near Gatwick ;) Seriously the thought of dealing with hundreds of thousands of brochures and the associated postage costs fills me with horror :scared1: these days (It was just major fear when I was in the job!)
if you could get retrained in any other career immediately what would you choose and why?
Um Good question! I have no idea! I guess being a seamstress would be useful at the moment as I could make DD's costumes for dancing rather than paying for them to be made.
Do you have any pets?
No, just the kids ;)
What's your favourite TV programme at the moment?
Really enjoying Prison Break. Also Bones, Heros and 24
What's the one thing you couldn't live without? My car. I don't know how my friends who don't drive manage (especially one couple with 2 kids where neither drive)
Did you go to university?
I did, I studied Education and Mathematics at Reading

Phew - glad we are OK on that one ;)
No and the stuff that fell overnight has melted
do you like the snow??
I love the snow but hate the way the country seems to grind to a halt once a flake has fallen
can you ski?
No, can't imagine I'd be any good at it as I'm not the most co-ordinated!

Joshua really likes the 'Cat in the hat' ride at Islands Of Adventure but all that spinning makes me feel ill, have you ever felt ill after any ride?
Do you have any particular close friends on the DIS and have you ever met them?
I have a number of friends on the non-UK forums on the DIS, do you just post on the UK one's?
I really like the Trip Planning Forum and do not spend much time on the Community Board as I like to talk about Florida. Do you feel there are not enough guys on the CB?
Hey Jo
Hi Mandy :goodvibes
How long have you lived in Coventry ? Next month we will have been here for 4 years
What secondary school did you go to ? (I went to Coundon Court) Aha the school that also gets noted on estate agent details "In the catchment area for Coundon Court"
I went to school in Welwyn Garden City and then in Hatfield
Do you support Coventry City FC ?
No, I used to watch Luton Town when I lived further south and DH supports Middlesbrough. DH is taken DD to a match at the Ricoh at Easter (through Nursery) so I think she could well be one in a few years
Did you go to see CCFC win the FA Cup ?
No, I vaguely remember seeing some of it on TV . Was at Wembley to see Luton lose to Chelsea in the semis one year though:confused3
Joshua really likes the 'Cat in the hat' ride at Islands Of Adventure but all that spinning makes me feel ill, have you ever felt ill after any ride?
I am a real big ride wimp though actually I'm worst on spinning rides too. I went on the spinning whatevers at Legoland with DH and my nephew and had to sit for about 1/2 an hour afterwards. I also had a bad episode on a ferris wheel at a fairground where the seats spun too
Do you have any particular close friends on the DIS and have you ever met them?
I wouldn't say that there is anyone in particular who I am close to. The only Disser I have met to date is Gems (T1GEM) who I spent a very pleasant couple of hours with last autum.
I have a number of friends on the non-UK forums on the DIS, do you just post on the UK one's?
I don't post regularly beyond the UK boards - just don't have time to keep up with it all.
I really like the Trip Planning Forum and do not spend much time on the Community Board as I like to talk about Florida. Do you feel there are not enough guys on the CB?
To be honest i'd not really thought about it. Though I am honoured you've popped over to this thread! :goodvibes I suppose it would be nice to have a few more male opinions/perspectives around. I'll hopefully be over to trip planning a bit more often when my next trip gets a bit closer

Who is your favourite actress?

Hello again...
Would you consider cosmetic surgery in the future?
To make it worthwhile it would have to be extensive and as I'm a wimp with pain it would be a no!
Which is your favourite city for shopping?
Not sure. haven't had a chance to go relaxed take your time shopping for ages. Probably Birmingham as it has most of the shops. Locally I prefer Nuneaton to Coventry as it always feels more relaxed there.
Do you exercise and, if so, how often?
No, I've never been very disciplined about exercise.
Thong or big knickers?
 Big knickers for sure - comfort over style
Hey Wils.. :) Sorry I couldn't post questions earlier but I didn't have the time. Good luck! :goodvibes (Ignore if already said!)
Hi Matt! Thanks for the good wishes
How old are you at heart? How old are you really? ;)
At heart about 19 but really 33
Have you really had Sparrow on your Desktop? What kind of picture was it?? :lmao:
I have and I still do have regularly! It's a background that a Disser made for a friend with 4 Pics of Capt Jack on and a quote which I set as my background on the PC. He is covered in icons at the moment so I must do some housekeeping
Hope you have a great week.. :) No I am not trying to get revenge.. :rotfl2:
Thanks remember I was very nice to you and as your DIS big sis I'll tell Mummy if you upset me!
Who is your favourite actor? ?
Toughy! (This week) Matt Damon and I do think Johnny Depp is very talented (and easy on the eye!)
Who is your favourite actress? I do like Drew Barrymore even though she always seems to play herself!
What is your favourite movie? ?I still love 'While you were sleeping','Jerry Maguire' and the 'LOTR' trilogy but the last film I really really enjoyed was 'Jarhead!'
What was the last movie you saw at the cinema? Saw 'Music and Lyrics' a couple of weeks ago with some mates - I thought it was good but not brilliant

I love horror films whether it be sci-fi horror like Alien or just plain gory like the Saw trilogy.
What sort of films scare or shock you and which type do you avoid?
There are some crackers on at the cinema this year ALL these are absolute musts for me but if you could choose just 1 which would it be?
Spiderman 3, Die Hard 4, Bourne Ultimatum.
It's well known I like showing off pictures of Joshua, which of the 3 below do you prefer?

I love horror films whether it be sci-fi horror like Alien or just plain gory like the Saw trilogy.
What sort of films scare or shock you and which type do you avoid?
Everything scares me! :scared1: I do enjoy a good thiller though I always jump out of my skin even when I'm expecting something to happen (e.g. it's never going to turn out well when someone is looking in the bathroom mirror.) I must admit the out and out gore shock films are not my cup of tea - I can't imagine me ever seeing the Saw series! Alien and the like are about my limit!

OOOOoooo toughie! I have loved the Bourne series so far so I'd go for Bourne Ultimatum. Would love to see all 3 though
It's well known I like showing off pictures of Joshua, which of the 3 below do you prefer?
I had noticed - it's great and you've used some great shots over the years! I love seeing pics of Dis kids :) In this case I'd go for the middle one as he looks happy and relaxed and I can imagine you are sitting relaxing at a poolside table with a beverage in hand.
If you could choose a week at a beach location on the coast in Florida, where would you choose?
I have never ventured further than Universal Studios from Disney property so I have no idea - where would you recommend Johnny?

Hi Jo - no chance of sitting relaxing at all I am afraid, Josh would want me to splash him in the water or play ball or something....very difficult to get time to oursleves though naturally we like to see him happy.
Clearwater is the nicest beach I have been to, lovely white sand, Naples the nicest place, quiet and classy - either is a sound choice but only if you want to relax.
For excitement, great shopping and things to do Miami/Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach cannot be beat, and all fairly close to one another.
Sorry I have invaded the Community Board with Trip Planning stuff haven't I.
Back on subject:
Do you like beach holidays and relaxing or do you prefer to be always on the go and doing something?
What's the best gift your DH has ever given you?
He got me a ring for my 21st which was stolen. When we got married he managed to get me one exactly the same to replace it even though the shop had stopped producing them - they made him one specially  I loved it the first time and second time round :goodvibes
Who makes you laugh? The kids - DD is 4 going on 13 and DS is going through a cheeky phase. I find Dave Gorman very funny - just watched a DVD of a show we'd seen live and it still made me laugh until it hurt!
Which of the smilies best sums you up?
;) It hopefully lets me get away with being cheeky and naughty!
Are you a keen cook or do you hardly know the way to the kitchen?

Do you like beach holidays and relaxing or do you prefer to be always on the go and doing something? Pre-kids (and actually pre DH!) I'd like to sometimes do a beach/pool holiday and read but these days it's all go, go, go! DH isn't great sitting in the sun doing nothing and needless to say neither are the kids. I have to be doing something whilst relaxing but there is no chance of reading these days so I'd rather be on the go too

which of those would you most hate to come round your house?
kim and aggie as they'd get a whole series out of this place!
Do you get alot of presents for Christmas?

What did you like most about school?
What did you hate most about school?
Who would you most like to be stuck in a lift with? and why?
who would you least like to be stuck in a lift with? and why?
Me too and MIL insists on calling me Joanne :rotfl2:
 I don't actually respond to Joanne now - I actually have to think "oh that's me!"
What is the most you've spent on an outfit?
That would by far be my Wedding dress etc. Can't remember how much it was it total but it wasn't an obscene amount!)
What clothes do you wear most?
I'm def a jeans and casual top girl at the moment!
Handbags, shoes or not bothered?
My feet grow (again) last pregnancy so I don't have that many pairs of shoes at the moment - I eventually got rid of the ones that didn't fit as it not as if I'll ever get back into them.:guilty: All my bags are the size of a truck and full of junk so I guess not bothered!
What was the worst date you ever went on?
I's struggling to think of anything really horrendous.
DH did nearly once force me out of the car for singing along with backing vocals of a song. :rolleyes1 I had to stop it was miles from home and I have no idea how I'd have got back
Have you ever been on a blind date?
No
Do you keep outfits from your youth that you know you should throw out?
Oh yes, guilty as charged :thumbsup2 though I am trying to cull at the moment but it totally isn't my nature to!
How often do you go out for a meal?
Apart from fast food not that often. Was just saying to DH yesterday that we must make the effort to get a babysitter more often.
Hi:wave2:
Hi there Nikki :)
If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go & why?
Would love to a trip down the West Coast of the US. Some friends did it a few years ago and the photos were Fab!
Who would you most like to meet?

or
a lift engineer ;)
who would you least like to be stuck in a lift with? and why?

A craft die in the shape of a heart on eBay for £1.99 - bargain!
where do you stand on the Iraq war?
I was against it from the start. I thought the whole attempt to find WOMD was just an excuse to invade. It is very sad that so many people have lost their lives during the war and I don't know if the resulting situation over there, although different, is any better than it was in 2003. :confused3
If passenger duty tax goes up by another £20-£30 per head would you still fly?
As we don't fly that often (every 4 years?) it wouldn't put us off . It would be a pain though

You've asked for it! It needs a clean out and its huge so here goes :
mobile, purse, ipod, changing mat, nappies, nappy sacks, money of vouchers, receipts, £5 note (), £5 off Make Up at Boots voucher (thanks - that would have gone out of date!), address book, charge of clothes for Dec, Batteries, McD's toy, tampax, Free soft play voucher (which i won today), paracetamol, Molly's epipen.
describe every item of clothing you are wearing now?

Old frayed green next tracky bottoms, black knickers, White flowery bra (had I known I'd have made sure to put a matching set on :rotfl:), black loose top with cap sleeves, beige zip up top with a strange ink stain on.
do you Ebay? whats the last thing you bought/sold and how much?
I do indeed eBay. I posted the cheque for a heart shaped craft die (£1.99) yesterday.

Hi Jo
Sorry it's taken me a while to get on to ask you a question.
Hi Laur's - I'll let you off ;)
How did you meet your DH?
When I went to Uni I got friendly with some of the local lads through a youth group at the local Church and he was their friend who was away (in Guildford) at Uni. I met him a few times and we got together when he came back 'home' to do an industrial year placement.
How old were you?
19
How old were you when you first became a mummy?
I was 28 when Molly was born
Looking forward to Pirates of the Carribean 3? :)
Naa Not bothered... Only Joking! ;)
I didn't get to see POTC2 at the cinema but I intend to see '3' on the big screen even if I have to go by myself (DH's not bothered!) Maybe I'll have to gatecrash a local Disser's cinema trip :goodvibes

Here is some questions for you:-
Where are you planning on staying when you go to WDW next year?
Have you ever hosted a Dis quiz?
Are you going to have more children?
Which time of year to you prefer - Christmas or Easter?
:Where are you planning on staying when you go to WDW next year?
We are looking at villas so that we can prepare some of the kids meals (DD is very fussy) and to give us some extra space when the little ones are sleeping
:Have you ever hosted a Dis quiz?
Not yet. I currently have no photos evil enough for picture questions
:Are you going to have more children?
Probably not.
:Which time of year to you prefer - Christmas or Easter?
I love Christmas - hectic as it is. I start the shopping in January and card making in September so I get to enjoy it throughout the year

Afternoon Jo
Thanks for letting me off for not asking questions sooner!
What is your favourite book?
Is there a song that describes you?
What is your favourite album?
What is your current favourite song?
Laur's princess:
What type of cards do you make?
Cards made with die cut shapes and simple embelishments. I am not at all artistic - I can't draw or paint to save my life
Do you sell them or just for you?
Mostly just for my own use but I keep a box at a local toddler group and I am getting asked more these days to make personalised cards.
Where do you get your ideas for your cards?
Magazines, craft websites mostly. My M-I-L also makes cards using similar materials - we have completely different styles but we sometiems get ideas from each other.
what was the last lie you told?
Probably along the times of I'm just going to make a cup of tea - I'll be back in 5 minutes (or 20 after I've Dissed for a bit!)
what was the last text you sent? and recieved?
My friend Carrie had a planned C-section this am so it was From her Mum telling me the time and weight of the baby (boy) and I replied sending my love and congrats.
which holiday? caribbean all inclusive or African safari?
Much as I'd love to do a safari at the mo AI in the caribbean sounds like heaven :cloud9:
City or countryside to live in?
City - I'm too used to the covenience of having all the big shops locally
Did you pass your driving test 1st time? (assuming you drive)
4th! :upsidedow. The test I passed was the 3rd one I'd taken that week!
Autumn or Winter?
Winter though I think I get a bit of SAD. I love Christmas
When did you 1st go to Disney? When I was about 9 with my parents. We were only there 3 days before going to Hawaii (I think their planning was a bit off!):sad1:
What is your favourite book?
Can't think of one in particular but I do love Cecilia Ahern's novels and the Shopaholic series (nothing too deep or demanding for me!)
Is there a song that describes you?
I'm Going slightly mad by Queen
What is your favourite album?
James - Getting Away with It Live
What is your current favourite song?
I still love Snow Patrol's Chasing Cars not least because DS recognises it and puts his arms up to dance with me when it comes on

Morning! Nothing too exciting I'm afraid just watching Dancing On Ice with DD on Saturday Night and then taking her to a Festival she's dancing in on Sunday
Morning Jo :goodvibes
Hi!
Do you enjoy being a stay at home mum or do you miss work?
I like being home with the kids but I do miss the adult company (Lucky I have you guys to chat to!) and taking long lunches ;) I suppose I also miss the satisfaction of a job well done and the thrill of an exciting project (Trying to make a tea that everyone will eat without complaint doesn't give me the same buzz!)
What's the silliest thing you've heard yourself say to the children?
'If you don't stop doing that there'll be no TV for a month'. I wouldn't get through the first morning as I need to have my first cuppa in peace!
If you ever manage to get some 'me' time how do you like to spend it? (apart from DISing of course ;) )
Crafting or having a long soaky bath
Are you ever allowed to lock the bathroom door? :rotfl:
 It's not worth it - It is incredible how Molly always needs the loo when I'm in the bathroom. Oh for a downstairs toilet!
Morning Jo

I suppose our last trip to WDW when we took DD. It was such fun seeing everything through her eyes and doing different things like queuing up to meet ALL the characters

Hi Jo

Hi! Good to 'see' you - hope your 'puter is better soon
Which five people would you have to a dinner party and why (alive or dead) ?
Ooo Toughy - I am even having to get DH to make suggestions!
Angelina Jolie - she seems to have undergone such a transformation over the last few years. I'd love to see what she was really like
Dave Gorman - as he tells a good tale
Wentworth Miller - to improve the scenery
Stephen Fry - To raise (or lower!) the tone of the conversation
Walt Disney - he would be facinating to listen to
Favourite cocktail ?
Strawberry Daquiri
f you could have three items on a Desert Island what would they be ?
PC (broadband enabled), My bed, a fridge (pref. filled with cold drinks)
sweet or savoury ?
Sweet :)
Jammies or Nighty?
Jammies
Tea or coffee?

Full fat, skimmed or semi?
skimmed
Crisps or chocolate?
chocolate
Marmite Love it or Hate it?
Love it
have you been to New York?
No but I'd love to
do you like fish?
No, just the occasional fish & chips
have you ever cruised?
No and DH will need convincing to
if you could be a charcter in a book who would you be? Same question for film and TV programme?
Book - Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice - would love the clothes and being wooed
Film - Elizabeth Swann in POTC - being fought over by Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom
TV - Chloe in 24 - It would be fun to say what you thought (and be rude to people and get away with it!)
lets get a little bit controversial...
Okay Carol lets go!
where do you stand on the death penalty?
I believe that the taking of any life is murder
do you believe murderers are natural or nurtured?
I'd think most are probably a bit of both
do you /would you wear fur?
No and I don't know that I would (unless I was cold and nothing else was available ;) )
what about hair extensions?
I've never had them as I have to keep my hair long (otherwise think little ophan Annie!) but I have nothing against them!
...and Florence got the same!:goodvibes
I'll have to go and check out what she said!

have you any speeding points on your licence?

have you ever drank and driven?
No, if you saw me after a couple of drinks you'd see why :)
If you bought a really expensive item of clothing and wore it then got home to find your DH had been made redundant would you take it back?
Yes, We clearly would not longer be able to afford it and I'd also feel guilty everytime I wore it.

Morning,
If you could time travel which 3 periods in time would you visit and why?
If you had to live in a different period of time which would it be and why?
Okay, great question but the most difficult one yet!
visitng
1) The court of Henry VIII to see what all his wives really thought of him
2) Back to before we had kids to have a lazy weekend not getting out of bed until after 12 both days :goodvibes
3) Two weeks time as I am having 2 wisdom teeth out next week and I'm dreading it! I would also find out the lottery numbers for the next couple of draws whilst i was there!
I think I'd like to live c1800, I love the clothing and observing the social order would be facinating.
