ive been reading these boards for a few weeks now, and i still can't figure out what "bump" means when someone posts. can someone enlighten me?

Welcome to the boards! "Bump" is used when the message starts to move further down the first page (back to the 2nd page, etc.). When you post "Bump", the message is moved back up to the top so more people will see it and, hopefully, provide an answer.

okay, that's what i thought. but how? do you just type bump and it does it automatically? or is there a special key that will do this?

You just type "BUMP" in the reply box like you did when you posted your question. Then you click on "Post Now" (like when you posted your question). Hope this helps!
