Does anyone on here have these headphones? These are supposed to be really nice. I'd like to get two sets of them for my truck. On our drive down to Disney in June DD will want to watch a movie and our headphones we have now let in all the noise. We can't even talk as she can hear it along with her movie. I've been looking at the Bose ones but can't make up my mind. Anyone?

I have a set that I use on the plane. They are awesome. I would check to see if you are allowed to use them while driving the truck. I know in some states that is illegal. If you aren't driving and wearing them I say go ahead and get them. You won't regret the purchase.

Hubby has a pair and they block out the noise of the airplane and all travellers sitting next to you wanting to talk. He won't fly without them. I don't think you'll have a problem of them working.

The headphones are for DD to watch the movie. I don't want to use them. Glad to hear they are awesome!

Thanks everyone! I was hoping they were as good as some say. It will make our drive down much more pleasant if I don't have to hear "Mom I can't hear the movie with you talking!" LOL!

I got these for DS before he went to college in 2005. He loves them and uses them all the time.

They are especially helfpul when trying to get to sleep. I did purchase the extension cord later on for him from Bose because the cord that comes with them is rather short if you want to lay down across the room etc.

I think she will like them! I got his free with my American Express points, just an idea if you have points available.

So they block not only ambient noise like the plane engines, but conversation as well? I always thought they would only block continuous noise which would be my own misconception. I have considered noise cancelling headphones for when I am in the data center at work. It is rather loud in there....

I have a pair of the BOSE 2 headphones, and use them all the time of plane trips. One question, does DD wear glasses? Wearing the headphones while wearing glasses for a long period of time sometimes causes the tops of the ears to hurt. On long flights, I would need to take my glasses off to prevent this.

Make sure you have an extra set of batteries for them. You don't want to be an hour on the road and have the battery die.

No she doesn't wear glasses. We always carry a bag of extra batteries for the headphones and dvd remote. I remember once having to stop and get some so never again do we leave home without extra batteries.

Are these not cordless? I never even thought of cords. Oh well, I guess the noise canceling factor outweighs the cord factor!
