AP rates over July 4th?

Does anyone know if they've offered AP rates over July 4th in the past, and if so what they were? I'm trying to sort out our trip this summer and decide how many nights we'll be able to do there.

I am not positive about there being any ap rates last year, but a part of me keeps thinking that there was a discount at a couple Boardwalk resorts. I wouldn't count on it.

They did when we went in 2005. In 2006 we were able to get AP rates but our dates were a little later July 12-26. I'm right there with you hoping for AP rates for this 4th of July. We'll be there June 28-July 12!

In 2005 there were either $75 or $100 off a deluxe room, I forget exactly but it was a better discount that AAA.

We are going June 27-July 7. My family's tickets are bought. I have not bought mine yet - just in case. Since we are going 11 days, I was told there is a possibilty, slight as it may be, that an AP would be better than AAA, even with the cost of the AP, if there was a discount. Figured I would just buy my tickets in early June if nothing comes out of it. We are staying at POR, so I am not sure what a moderate savings would be!

Does anyone know/remember if there were any AP rates for mod resorts, or are they usually restricted to the deluxes?

I know last year the AP rates started at the very end of June and went through July. They were for BWI, YC, BC, and SS. I remember a standard room was $189. We went to the YC. The rates were great even on the concierge rooms. Good luck!
