My mom bought my family all 5 day passes to Universal....:cool1: We really want to stay onsite for a few nights but it is really expensive if you don't have an AP. This may be a stupid question but can you upgrade tickets to AP's?? Thanks.....

Sure you can. You only need one annual pass per room. Have you checked the AAA rates? Sometimes they are better than the AP rates.

yes you can.
positively you can.
if you use one of the days on the tickets, that's ok.
you have to upgrade before they expire if you have the multiday passes.
if you are using the ap for a discount rate for the on site hotel, no problem
if you are not asked to see the ap when you do the hotel check in, fine.
if you are, tell the clerk you have to go to gs to finalize the ap.
you will be allowed to have the ap rate but will have to show verification before you check out. if you fail to do so, you'll get socked with the rack rate.

You will also get some REALLY GOOD discounts on food and merchandise with an AP. But make sure and get the Preferred AP, the one that costs $179, because you won't get the discounts with the Power Pass.

i checked the ap site today and see they have changed the discounts with the pap.
it's mostly 10% now for food and merch.
aaa is still good and it is honored at city walk.
really, both aaa and ap are good to have.
you don't need both, one will do.
my aaa is good for most motels when we travel outside of orlando
