Orbitz has Poly too. I booked 5/13 - 5/18 @ $294 a night and for some reason (I have no clue why) my 5th night came up at $256 :cool1: . Needless to say I cancelled the first part of my trip which I had booked with Disney since they didn't have Poly. We did get the second part of our trip
5/18 - 5/23 through Disney we'll be at the Contemporary MK View at the AP rate so I'm excited I got both resorts I really wanted and I got them both at a discount.

We got the same deal - $295 per night. I booked on Travelocity because it included Magical Express and Orbitz did which just had the Mears add-on available for a fee.

The deluxes resorts savings come out to 35% savings and the values and mods are 15% with the codes Disney released a little over a week ago. It looks like some of the online travel companies (Travelocity, Orbitz, etc) are offering the same savings. My parents got AKL for $174 - standard room. We got WL for $224 - courtyard bunk beds. Both booked through disney. Disney's doesn't have as much availability as the online travel companies, but then you can't book the package with dining with the online travel companies.

I just tried to book a single night Poly garden view April 29 through Travelocity. We have a party of 5 (two adults 3 children.) If I enter only 2 adults and 2 kids it comes up with the garden view rate $295/night. If I enter 3 kids it only comes up with MK view option @ $515/night??!?!? I thought all Poly rooms were up to 5?

All of Polynesian's rooms will accommodate 5--not sure why it is trying to shift you to an MK view. :confused3

I had the same issue with Orbitz. They don't diferentiate between children and adults it simply asks for number of people in the room. I have 3 children so their system was charging me the extra adult per room fee X 3. Finally I called and was told that their system defaults to charge the extra fee per person and just to enter the number of adults that will be in the room not children. Which is what I did and I got my ressie at the $294 per night rate. I assume they do this because there are probably not a lot of people who catch it and just go ahead and pay and so they make extra money off of those folks. I would suggest just entering 2 adults and 2 children and book the room you want.

Thanks for the tips. Can you make room (ie building/floor etc) requests with travelocity/orbitz? Also do they have a similar cancellation policy (ie room only 5 days before arrival?)

I beleive both Travelocity and Orbitz cancellation policy is 5 ays out with a $25 fee. Your best bet for room requests is to call the Poly directly at
1-407-824-2000 between 3 and 5 days prior to arrival.

Do you have to put your Magical Express info at the time of booking?

Magical Express hot line number: toll free 866-599-0951

I can't attach a link (don't have enough posts), but if you google it, it
should tell you everything you need to know. You should book it as soon as you know your flight info.

Good Luck

Just a tip too on Magical Express - if you have a reservation at a Disney hotel, it doesn't matter where you booked it or whether or not the site told you ME was available to you or "included" in your reservation. It is available free to ALL resort guests. We booked ASM via Priceline.com last year and called ME directly, and had no problem at all using our Priceline confirmation number to set up ME.
