I posted this in the resort form, but I maybe this is a better place for it.

HI! I'm currently scheduled to go to Disney from 5/3-5/6. I booked my trip through a travel agent and she went through her own website instead of Disney's. She only booked the airfare, resort and car through her website and was then going to book the park tickets through Disney. My travel agent was told that she can't add the dining option to our park tickets b/c we didn't book through Disney's website to begin with. :confused3 Is this true? I really want to get the dining option w/ my tickets. Any ideas on how I can do this? Any help is appreciated.

TIA.

Gillian:)

My travel agent was told that she can't add the dining option to our park tickets b/c we didn't book through Disney's website to begin with. :confused3 Is this true?Yes, that's true. DDP can only be booked through CRO, and only as a package which includes room at a certain rate (usually rack rate) and at least a one-day base park ticket per person. I really want to get the dining option w/ my tickets. Any ideas on how I can do this? Sure. Tell your travel agent to undo her mistake and make the reservations you wanted.

She can still save you money on flights and rental car, but she must go through Disney to book a Disney package. (You will have to compare prices though, because whatever "deal" she got you may be more valuable to you than DDP. Get both sets of numbers and compare.)

The other option is to cancel everything through her and book through an AAA travel agent. AAA discounts can be used in conjunction with DDP, but the package has to be booked through an AAA agent.
