this is not true, you need to BOOK the trip but can change resorts after the 15th. I am booked for the CSR but am waiting to get AKL or WL. CM's told me I can continue to try to change after the 15th!! So now if everyone booked with the code can change there trip resorts around so I can get my AKL...I will be happy!;)

I'll pretend I didn't see this. ;) I've literally changed my resort 4 or 5 times. We're currently at BWI. I paid up, so chances are pretty good I'll keep my reservation, but we started at AKL, changed to WL, then to POR, finally resting at BWI. My dh said he doesn't want to know until we pull up to the front door now....he just laughs at me. I feel bad for the reservationists though. I'm a royal pain.

that is correct. BUT if you are already booked you CAN change your resort with the discount TO a discount as long as it is avab. and I did call again....(7 times now) and checked. and also changed my #2 trip with the 40% disount for in Dec.

Altho generally speaking.. they are requiring a PIN to book. There was confusion in the early running. Please note that Skater was able to book but had a PIN under her husbands name.

I wanted Pop Century. No Pop Century rooms were available. But Coronado Springs was available - and for $4 less a night ($105) than the regular priced Pop rooms ($109) would be.

So, I reserved room only for now and may add tickets and dining.

02/25-03/07 - Peak Season Rate
05/28-06/03 - Summer Season Rate
08/21-10/06 - Value Season Rate
10/21-11/03 - Regular Season Rate
11/11-11/16 - Regular Season Rate
12/09-12/22 - Value Season Rate

2nd time I called, I got a CM who booked it for me without asking for the pin - I just gave her the code.

I called yesterday to see if I could book for a friend of mine using the code. The CM was very clear..No pin, no code. She said they have all been warned about this. She mentioned the Spring code which is a different code but it did not help as she can not travel till after the summer. :confused3

I'm not 100% on this.. but I don't think you can add tickets & dining to a room only reservation without them cancelling out the reservation all together. And then you would be outside the March 15th booking deadline for the resulting 'new' reservation.

So.. you may want to call back and book a minimal package reservation.. Or at least ask the CM or a supervisor for clarification to be sure.

I've tried to pm those who were looking for the code but my post count as a newbie is too low, feel free to email me if you want some help :cool2:

Also no tickets and Dinner plans with the room only code, but the complaints over kids mean (mine 8 & 5) were putting me off that anyway. I'll just book character meals we want to do and stick with counter food for the rest

FINALLY GOT IT!!!!!:banana: :banana: I decided to try just one more time cause it was the last day to book and I was asked for a pin # the 1st time and then just got off the phone w/the most awesome CM and she gave me the discount for 2 trips @ Pop!!! Ya'll just don't know how happy I am right now!! :cool1: :cool1: I told the wonderful CM that she has made me have a magical day!!!

I'm pretty sure that you weren't given correct info. But even a minimal package.. You can just say there is just one guest in the room and get a one day park hopper package.

And then you can add guests, park days and dining if you choose.. later on as you see fit.

The biggest difference is room only requires 1 nights deposit and the package will require 200$ deposit and full payment 45 days prior.

Just paid off my reservation in full following advice from elsewhere on the board and asked again about packages, told by 2 different CM's it was adefinte NO if you have the room only discount, if I wanted dining and tickets then I must give up the room rate and rebook, which as I have $800 saved I wont be doing!

Off to find out where to get my cheapest park tickets now!

I was very lucky last night I got a discount. I'm pretty sure it's the 40% off since we're staying at POR with dining and 7 day PH in the beginning of November. I had the most wonderful CM every she was so helpful. I booked right away and am going to start making my payments so the balance isn't so high come Sept. Good luck tonight to anyone still trying!!!

My coworker used it yesterday.....after I have been nagging her about talking to her DH about going there for their anniversary ever since I heard that she had been blessed with the 40% off code in the mail. I think that should be OK as long as your check-in date would STILL be one of the dates within the ranges for which the codes was applicable. I'd definitely ask before doing it tho. :)
