Well it is early to be booking any flights... no sales for that time frame yet. Seriously look into flying out of buffaloe.. you could probably for less than 300 each

Air Tran and Spirit Airlines are taking bookings out of Detroit. $89 each way + tax.

You may also want to try JetBlue and AirTran. I don't think they are booking that time frame yet, either. But it should be soon.

I just checked Travelocity for your dates and from YYZ to MCO on Northwest its $819.30. I'm thinking if you wait a little longer better deals will come out.

Here are a few alternatives:
Including taxes

Buffalo > MCO on Air Tran = CAN$472 for 2 passengers - Non Stop
Toronto > MCO on Northwest = CAN$738 for 2 passengers - 1 stop
Kitchener > MCO on Northwest = CAN$798 for 2 Passengers - 1 stop

Jetblue prices from Buf to Mco should be out in a few weeks
Southwest is a few more weeks beyond that.

Air Canada and Air Transat from YYZ are on a different planet !:goodvibes

I'm in Kitchener too, well Waterloo actually and I'm leaving for Florida next week. Our return tickets out of Buffalo to Ft Lauderdale on SW are just a hair under $500 US including taxes for 2 adults. When we take the grandkids to WDW in July, we're flying AirTran, again out of Buffalo and the total cost for 6 of us is $1258 US for everything. Pearson and Waterloo-Wellington can't touch those rates.

Last year, I got a package from Selloffvacations.com for CAN 1.022,00 including round-trip air fare (TOR-ORL), a car for a week from Alamo and hotel (Best Western Lakeside, which I recommend).

It might be worth it for you to check their prices

I am thinking about heading to Buffalo this year and flying from there, though.

hmm I will check that out, any other ideas?

I also strongly recommend Buffalo. It's only a 1.5 - 2 hour drive from Toronto, parking costs about $35(US) for a week, it's easy to get to, and it's a relatively small airport. We have flown our of there twice to Orland and have been very happy both time. I agree also that if you wait you should get flights for about $59(US) each way (Southwest, AirTran, etc.). That's about $150(US) each roundtrip. :surfweb:

If you want you can also get a hotel near the airport for a good price (and they usually have a promotion of a free dinner or something). That way you can do some shopping at the Outlet mall before you go. :thumbsup2

Here in Halifax, we'd be happy with that price. ;)

If you wait, you should be able to get flights with Southwest out of Buffalo much cheaper than what you are seeing with Air Tran. We are flying in April, DH and I for $125 each return. I am taking DD and her friend at the beginning of October and will wait for Southwest to open up their flights.

Good Luck!!!

Air Tran for September 16-23 for the 4 of us is around $750.00 USD, plus parking is way cheaper and you have already cleared customs so 1 less line up to stand in!

We are going to Orlando on Sept 28-15 from CALGARY. Our fare was $339 including taxes each. (We booked 8 seats) We are going via Frontier Airlines and booked thru Travelocity. CAA had the same rates.

Frontier Airlines and Air Tran are subsiduaries, from Buffalo it's Air Tran. I can't believe how cheap they are compared to Air Canada $2500.00 or West Jet $2000.00 for the 4 of us and it's not like you get better service or seats!
