Why I Love My Job

So I'm sitting here processing the rest of the Disney Gift Cards from the special cashout last week. I went through so many cards that I had to have Disney FedEx me another $4000 worth on Friday!

Only a true Disney fan could sit surrounded by all these Disney Gift cards and just want to cry because you know what they represent to the people who are getting them--nights at the Wilderness Lodge, dinner at Chef Mickey's, breakfast with Cinderella, hair-doos at the BBB, tickets to MNSSHP, souvies to remember that perfect trip, shipboard credits to take a shore excursion, on and on. I think about my own daughters' first birthdays at WDW, trips with the whole family, and how much fun DH and I have on the DCL.

Each and every card I stick in an envelope I wonder about the magic that the person holding it will experience when they use it.

Okay. Enough being a blubbering idiot. I just love this!!!

Awwww...Tricia! You are right you are sitting there looking at so many great memories that will soon by made. We are using our earnings through SR for our 1st Anniversary trip. Every time I get a credit I either run to tell my Hubby or call him, he gets just as excited. So, thank you so much!!:cheer2:

This might be completely corny - but if that makes you feel like blubbering idiot, maybe make a little section of the site just for that to take it one step further? Maybe ask all of us (and those on your site that aren't on DIS) to send an email to let you know how/where they used the gift card - maybe even let them send in pics of that hairstyle, the party or the souvenir. Make it even MORE real! Instead of just thinking about what the gift cards represent - find out what tangible part of the vacation they funded.

Who knows, it might even encourage others to do more to get more once they see all the wonderful things people have been able to do with their earnings?

You are right we thank you so much!! I as a single mom have made a yearly trip to Disney with DD 6,9 prior to the divroce and I was determined to continue this tradition on my own. Well, I'm glad someone loves their job. I think I would too if it involved Disney.

I can honestly say that I would not even know about Sunshine rewards if it wasn't for this board. I was really skeptical of all these rewards sites by this board has provided me with the confidence it trying new things. I have been a memeber since Oct and have $175 in Disney gift cards (my DH thought I was crazy at first..that is until he saw the gift cards). We don't even have a trip planned but are saving them up for the next time we do make it to WDW or DL. Hopefully we will next year. So my hats off to you Tricia for making such a great reward program.

You are the best!! Just wanted to say thank you for all your hard work. Since I joined last March I have earned enough disney dollars and disney gift cards to be able to take my family (5 kids and DH) for breakfast at Crystal Palace and still have plenty left over for some other little extras. So when we are having our character breakfast next month we will be having an orange juice (lol) toast to you!!! Thanks again for all your hard work and dedication to all of us!:cool1: :cool1:

Awww Tricia that is so neat to look at it that way and true too! We all love getting those gift cards to do special things. I know that if it wasn't for your site and QR we wouldn't be able to do a lot of the fun "extra" we get to because of you. So thanks for "STUFFING" those envelopes for us! Here Tricia. This is what our Sunshine Rewards gift cards paid for in October...dinner at Chef Mickey's on our very first trip to WDW.

Awesome pictures!! We're taking my nephews to CMs in October. One of my nephews (he's 14 months) has never been to Disney and the other (4yrs) has been to MNSSHP only once. I can't wait to see the looks on their faces when Mickey comes around. Of course, my girls are all about Minnie! We actually have the magnets of our two family pictures from there on the fridge and I was looking at them tonight. I can't wait to get one with the grandparents and all four grandkids in October.

Anyone else? Pictures of what you spend your rewards money on???

We used some of my rewards to go to the first Pirate and Princess Party. It was AWESOME!! My DD6 wanted to stand in line to meet Captain Jack Sparrow. We waited 45 minutes, but he was well worth it.

Thanks so much Tricia for the hard work you do. I'm using the extra 10% from the GC promotion for souvenirs on our first family trip in Nov. The other money I make will go towards extras that we wouldn't have been able to afford. We're now planning a pirate cruise for my kids who will turn 6 & 9 while we're there. Also, a night out alone while the boys are at Neverland Club. A Mickey shaped birthday cake for the boys and a special treat to celebrate our anniversary (also while there), of the chocolate slipper and tuxedo strawberries at the GF while the boys are out treasure hunting.

I just joined in Feb. and I'm so glad I found SR. We are planning a trip in July, and I'm planning on using my SR & visa rewards to pay for BBB for my DD4 and our dinner at CRT. I can't wait to be able to post pictures of that! My DD4 loves Cinderella, she has a Cinderella themed room with all the trimmings. I told her that only very special princesses get invited to dinner at the castle and I hope we will be invited. About a month before the trip, I plan to send an elaborate invitation to her in the mail. BBB is scheduled for right before, and she has no idea about that. I can't wait!! My dd12 &dd9 are in on it too, and they are very excited as well.

I had heard about other reward sites, but I wasn't sure if they were legit. I joined SR because of Tricia being a DIS member. It somehow made me feel like it would be OK. Thanks Tricia for all you do to spread the magic.pixiedust:

Yes. Because I was having so many problems with Disney delivering gift card in February, I just ordered all of them myself and sent them out. I think maybe two people with really big orders should have gotten them from Disney directly. But everyone else either had theirs sent out on Friday, Monday, or Wednesday. Thankfully, they are all sent!! And I just picked up another $500 in Disney Dollars a big ago (the reason I've been offline) so that I can get all of the Disney Dollar cashouts caught up. You all have been cashing out like crazy lately!!

Well, we paid with all of our dining through Disney Gift Cards earned through SR & QR, though I think most were from SR for this past January, so you can check out my dining reviews for lots of pictures owed to reward programs.

This one in particular is significant because I had budgeted out all of our meals. Once I saw how many gift cards I was able to rack up with rewards we added another Table Service meal before the P&P party. We ate at Tony's for the first time & I loved it since Main St. gives me that "Disney Feeling" more than anything else!

I had a really crappy day yesterday, and came home to a lovely envelope from Sunshine with $150 worth of Disney gift cards. Also received the last of the cards I ordered directly from Disney last month, and my state tax return! Guess which made me the happiest.... the SUNSHINE envelope... it truly spread some sunshine on my day :love:

It was awesome getting my Sunshine envelope in the mail!!! I love getting those Disney gift cards!! We're going in October so I'm saving up for the trip. I'm a photo crazy person so this first one is going to pay for the photopass!! Next up is Chef Mickey's which my 2 year old will LOVE!!! SR is such a fun reward site!
