View Full Version : My son turning 5yr 3 days before we leave, do the character dinners do birthday cakes

We are leaving March 16 for WDW, my son turns 5 March 13. We are doing the character dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern, do they do birthday cakes aor anything special? If so how do we arrange it? Thanks.

Yes, you can special order cakes a head of time.... do a search... there is a really longgggg thread with all of the information and pics of so many great cakes.

We celebrated DS's birthday last year and ordered a birthday cake at Chef Mickey's. I tasted good and was lots of fun, but we really didn't need it after all the food! We also went to breakfast at Crystal Palace and he received a decorated cupcake with a candle there. If I were to do it over again, I would not have ordered the cake- that's just my opinion, we had way more than needed and I think he would have gotten a cupcake at CM's too. But he was only 2 and having a birthday cake was not a big deal to him.

I ordered a cake from the MK bakery for dd in January. We were eating at CP but they can do one for any of the MK ts. I got the cutest cake - it was the Mickey head cake - chocolate lovers delight! There's a picture of it on the birthday cake thread.

Yep... thats the thread will all of the amazing pics.

I have 3 kids with birthdays while we are there.. turning 8,3 and 2.

We are staying at the WL.. I am thinking about having a cake after out dinner at the WCC or maybe having in delivered into the room.. that way be could leave leftovers in the fridge.. I know we probably wont end up eating it all but I would like the kids to have a cake for their birthdays.
