I would like to know if anyone has info on DVC Members, on which state they live in, which state has most members, etc. I remember seeing that about a year or so ago, and I can't seem to find it. I would appreciate any info on this subject. Thanks,:D

They used to have the number from each state and country on the official page. Right? I thought New York was the highest.

They do not have the breakdown there anymore. Look at Official DVC Page (http://www.disneyvacationclub.com/)

Those numbers do seem correct. I've noted a great number of OBNOXIOUS YANKEE fans during our DVC stays:( :( .
What exactly happened this year ..........in the 7th game of the World Series................ in the bottom of the 9th???:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
The had a map with the numbers on it out front of the BW sales center. I looked at the numbers briefly and though FL was first followed by NY, I certainly wouldn't swear by it.

Hey! I spent my first 29 years in Taxachusetts (AKA The Peoples Socialist Republic of Massachusetts) and did some chearing for the Red Sox and Patriots. There is only so much a person can take!;)

Hey,Hey,Hey all of you non-believers out there, check out the AFC standings after today's games!!!!!!!!!
From ESPN:
" As crazy as it sounds, "first place" and "Patriots" can be said in the same sentence. Antowain Smith ran for 156 yards today as New England beat Miami 20-13 to take over the AFC East lead"..:) :D :) :D :) :D
As for the SOX,
THE CURSE OF THE BAMBINO DIES IN 2002 .
Hey, would you spend 700 MILLION DOLLARS to buy a team and watch it lose to the Yankees????Of course not.:p :p

I see you are from the Youngstown area. I grew up just over the border; and am a YSU grad. All my family is still there--Poland, Hubbard, etc.
Going to make the trip back on Monday...If you're a shopper, I'll see you in Boardman on Wednesday morning (I can't help it, it's a family tradition!)

TrudyZ, small world. Are you going to Southern Park Mall or Eastwood Mall????
Also ,I see you are an engineer, do you happen to work for Delphi or GM?
TrudyZ

Nick:
Southern park--my sister is in Poland--so we'll do the whole run along 224.
I live in Michigan now, and I work for the University of Michigan (hey, they pay me, the YSU-commuter college grad (BE Chem. Eng. 1986) the same as the MIT grads--kinda sweet revenge if you know what I mean??) . But, my nephew Matt, (another YSU engineering Grad), works for Delphi.
Are you at Delphi?

TrudyZ, I work for GM in Lordstown. My wife teaches at Niles High School. Does your sister teach H.S. or elementary. We are both retiring in 6 yrs (at age 51). Then we will be DVC nomads, going at all different times and whenever we want.
My wife also prefers Southern Park over Eastwood, even though we are closer to Eastwood.:D

My sister teaches 6th grade in Poland.
I'm familiar with Girard--my other sister lives in Hubbard.
My husband is an also an engineer---at Ford in Dearborn.
I started a little late on the "family" thing, and we have a 3 year old daughter--so I don't see us being the DVC Nomads any time soon. (actually, we are a little bit now because she isn't in school yet.) Right now, we are on a 2X a year pace to OKW (April/October). Once she gets into school, we'll have to re-evaluate. How wonderful to go when you want at 51!! I hope you have enough points!!(the resale market is a little soft now, may be the time to add on:D).

TrudyZ, OKW is our favorite Resort(HomeResort), thats why we bought there(300 pts). We are looking to add on 50 -100 to VB, I think that will hold us for a while. We have a 27 yr old son and a 15yr old daughter.:D

Yes, I remember when they used to publish totals on the web site and it always showed NY as the state with the highest number of members. Illinois was usually only 3rd or 4th as there are many Cubs fans who likely decided not to buy because they did not want to be anywhere where the plurality was obnoxious Met and Yankee fans. My guess is that they stopped publishing the figures because it was adversely affecting sales to Illinois residents.;)
Hi:
I live in NJ right across the GW Bridge and really take offense to your remark!!!New York people are about the nicest people around---and GREAT Yankee and
Met fans..........We spend a good deal of our time in NY and find the people to be really nice. FYI---I was raised in PA and have spent a lot of time in Florida and other parts of the country and also some time in Europe, so it's not like I am a NY resident. You can find obnoxious people everywhere-------- if you look for them...................

Don't worry, that's just EROS. He's been in Boston too long. Once you get past that, he's OK.;)
WOW,
I LOVE NEW YORK ............it's the Yankees whom I hate!!!!!

WOW!!! It rarely happens, but I AGREE with EROS again!!!! I root for the Indians and any team that plays the Yankees!! (No comments necessary about that Alomar trade--I'm still crying over that!!) LOL!! HAPPY HOLIDAYS, everyone!!

Good to know NY is among the leaders
in DVC Dis'ers.
As for EROS' obsession with the Yanks,
hmmm ... seems like you need to live
vicariously through someone else. LOL
Better to be in game 7 than not.
Hey batter batter batter ... swingggg!
Well, hope springs eternal and Spring training
is only how many weeks away? :D

Speaking of the Yankees- think George has a house in Tampa.
Know he owns three hotels on I-75 in Ocala.

Here's an indication of how many New Yorkers are in DVC. When we were there last week I noticed that the EMPIRE sports channel is now included in the tv selections !!
Why do some people hate the Yankees so much??????????? Is it because they are grrrrrrrrreat?????

IMan, are we off topic or what?
We are on a rudderless ship on the Internet Sea!!!
(It's EROS's fault, really)
In more chivalrous times a warrior was judged by the worthiness of the opponents that came to challenge him.....
That argument should flatter both sides on the battlefield

First of all...I am a red sox fan, and yes we re-define the word suffering....however my beloved NE Patriots are GOING TO THE SUPERBOWL!!!!.....that being said, I would think DVC would reflect what florida in general would look like, A whole bunch of people from the northeast, and smaller amounts from other places.

red sox..........2nd last year
patriots .......in 1st
celtics......... in 2nd so far this year
bruins.........in 2nd
i would say, not a bad sports year for boston this year ?
i'm a die hard boston sport fan (big time red sox) , a lot of yankee fans are only front runners, non new yorkers are the worst. do you ny fans root for your other sports teams ? or only the winners ?
as far as dvc leaders, ny is much larger than mass, but not that far ahead.

What's that??? You think that you silenced the Yankee fans?? PinMan, being quiet is one trait that you'll never associate with a NY'er.;) ;) ;)
Let me say, when it comes to New York, we know quality when we see it, and we're willing to pay for it. That goes for sports teams and DVC.:p :p :p :p :p

It was NY, then NJ, followed by FL. Recently my guide told me that NJ has now surpassed NY, and FL is still in third.
Breaking it down by resort, OKW is NY, BW is NJ, I don't know about the others.
