Wow!! This is the first time we've eaten there, but it will definitely be on our list from now on! It was incredible! The atmosphere is great, the service is wonderful, and the food is fantastic!!
I started with the Butternut Squash Soup, which was the best I've ever had! (In fact, they give you the recipe for this soup when you arrive!). For my entree, I had the Pumpkin Ravioli with Chicken. It had a brown sauce, port wine glaze and pine nuts and it was to die for!! DH had the Wienerschnitzel (which took up the whole platter!) with warm German potato salad. He said it was fantastic! For dessert, I had the Vanilla Creme Brulee and he had Chocolate Mud Pie. Both really good, but we were so full we each just had a couple of bites.
Our bill, if we had paid, came to $130 with tax and tip, but since we were on the Dining Plan, it just took one Table Service credit each.
Our server was great, even though he knew we were on the DDP. The service overall and the atmosphere were both fantastic! I can't believe this place is only 1 TS credit!!

So glad to hear this. I was getting nervous about our ressies for our upcoming trip after a friend of mine who just came back said it was the worst meal of the trip. She said that the food was good but it was loud, atmosphere not good and they sat on cheap plastic chairs, did you? She also said she had a bad server so that probably impacted their meal. Let me know.

We're also eating there in 3 weeks & heard that the menu recently changed but were still hoping for a good mel. I know that the Express always gets rave reviews. I was hoping they still had good choices on the kids menu.

Someone ( I don't remember who or where ) said they didnt have the Rib Steak, Filet Mignon, or Weinerschnitzel on the menu anymore & said that the current menu was on the Wolfgan Puck website. I went on the site & the ribs weren't listed either but I don't know if it's an accurate up to date menu & there's no kid's menu listed there at all.

The filet was gone from the menu when I went in December. BTW, we loved it and have an ADR there for our upcoming trip. I'll try to remember to get a copy or photo of the current menu and children's menu.

We're eating there 4/29 & it seems most of the things we were planning on ordering are gone but I'm sure we'll find something else scrumptious as usual. I just hope our 8 yr old will too.

I had to reply to this one. I was thrilled that you mentioned the ravioli. I think that the pumpkin ravioli is the best thing I have ever tasted. I have to go there each DW trip and get some. Their soft bread is to die for too. I wish we had a WP close to us. Unfortunately on this next trip, DH insist on trying House of Blues because he never gets to try it on our DTD days because I always want WP. I may have to find a way to sneak in there and get some LOL. Thanks for your great review.

I heard so many good things about Wolf gang Pucks Cafe but when i went i didn't like that much. Guess not a great night cause the other people in my party weren't happy with their meal. The service was great they were funny our CM told great jokes throughout the meal. I think it might because we asked if we could have some faster service cause we came 30 min late and we had 40 min to eat. We were in and out in 35 min. We got at MK as they were taking out the yellow wrist bands for MVMCP. We had soo much fun.

Great review, Thanks!
This is one of our favs too. I lived in Germany for years, and the Weinerschnitzel is the real deal. They have the recipe for the schnitzel and the potato salad at Wolfgang Puck's website.

I sure hope they still have the weinerschnitzel on the new menu. It's not listed on their website & someone has posted somewhere that the latest menu is the one on their website...I hope that's wrong.

I hope they still have the Bolonese. I get it everytime I go. The pumpkin ravioli is awesome! Hope they keep these.:cool1: I have been eating at Puck's for 9 years now and it is still great. A nice find in downtown disney.

WP's is our favorite as well. We ate there at least 3 times last year on FD and might well beat our record on our upcoming trip.
You pretty much listed our favorites but I might suggest that you give the flourless chocolate cake a try next time. I do believe that is the main reason we are going back in spite of me, vaugely, remembering a vow NEVER to return in hot weather to DW again!!:lmao:
Did you also notice that you could watch what they were doing in the kitchen on the screens in the dining room? As a mystery shopper I really enjoyed that!

Wow, checked the menu of Wolfgangs site and all the steaks are gone. I've been looking forward to WPC for over six months, not so much now.
Edited to add: Oops! Didn't scroll down far enough on the menu, steaks are there.

From official WP site
Grilled Angus N.Y. Strip
green peppercorn sauce, crispy buttermilk onion rings 31.95
Last time I checked NY Strip was a steak. Shame they took the ribeye off though, I think ribeyes are better.
I had to check my husband is a steak-o-holic.
Great review, I can't wait to eat there in September. :)

There's a new menu updated 4/7 on the Disney Dining Site & the Ribsteak is back as well as the Weinerschnitzel.
There are no appetizers listed on the child's menu. Has anyone been there lately. I know the rule on the dining plan is if there's no child's appetizer they can order from the adult menu but I doubt that this is true. Anyone been there lately & know for sure?

Would love to see an update too, especially a report on kids choices on the DDP and the fondu being on the menu or not.

I was there on 4/6 for lunch and was not thrilled with the food. It all came out cold. And I hate complaining but cold (fridge cold) is disgusting. Even the espresso was cold.

The fondue is no longer on the menu. We ate at WGP Cafe in late January, and I talked with our server about the fondue being axed. He and I agreed that it had been the best dessert on their menu. I was disappointed, but got over it, as our meal was fantastic in every other way. My family has eaten here 3x, and likely will go back when we head off to WDW for another trip this October.

I just had to chime in my 2cents here! we LOVE Wolfgang's and it is our first dinner meal every trip. we have never been dissappointed. have eaten DDP and out of pocket - service has been exceptional either way. last time there ( Jan 07) I had the Macadamia nut encrusted chicken on our waiter's recommendation and my mouth is watering just thinking about it!! can't wait- taking my DF on a surprise trip the end of this month!! and yes, Wolfgang's for dinner :thumbsup2

WGP is one of my favorite table service places. However service is not always great. We were nearly forced to eat outside in winter once. For an almost native floridian with Primary Raynauds that was bad. They did eventually relent and let us sit indoors.
If you do not have an ADR the wait can often be an hour or more during peak season. I love the food though. Lately I have been favoring the express over the cafe. Check the menu (especially the daily specials) for the day if you can.

Does anyone know if they still have sushi in the menu? I didn't see it on their website.
Thanks!
What a great review. I'm so glad we're going to try it on our upcoming trip now.

Maybe we hit this one on a bad night but this was one of our worst dining experience's at WDW ever! Everything we ordered (with the exception of our young sons pizza which we ended up eating and my glass of win) was awful. We were on the DDP thank goodness because it didn't bother us how much we hated it. Won't go back.
On a sidenote I thought the atmosphere was really cool and we LOVE the smaller cafe on the other side of DTD.

I truly remember saying "Never again!" when we came home from our last lengthy and hot Free Dining adventure HOWEVER memories of Wolfgang Puck's food was probably the deciding factor in our deciding to try it once again! Absolutely the best food I have ever tasted in my life and I have eaten a LOT of food in my lifetime!! :lmao:
