7 day waitlist???

we are going to BWV on Jan 4th for marathon weekend, I called dvc today to see if we could extend a night, we are booked to go home on monday Jan 7th, but want to add a night and go home tuesday. there was no availability for a studio at all, so they put me on the waitlist, and then said that if it doesnt come through by friday, I can call them back, and since it will be 7 days from our arrival date, they can call BW directly to check availability, and that they usually have good luck with that!

I hat not knowing if we can stay the extra night!!!! I want to so badly! has anyone had any experience with a waitlist so close to arrival????

I just had a wait list studio at VWL come through for 1/7. I got the modified reservation in the mail today.

I guess people cancel last minute too!

I'll find out on friday when I call dvc back! they'll then call BWV directly!!! :)
we have YC booked as a backup for that night, but I'd rather stay at BWV, and not have to move for the one night!

I called today as we have been on a waitlist for 12/31 (have all other nights confirmed) and we are closer than 7 days out, and nothing was mentioned about calling BW directly, she just checked on computer and said it was still unavailable. Anyone else know if they call over to the resort ?

When I called today to check, the cm told me they do call over to BW and ask, but because her computer showed that night as oversold, she didn't think it would help to call the BW.

We did not have luck with calling within the last week for an extra night at BWV for 12/8. I called right up until 12/6 when we left for WDW with no luck. We did enjoy our one night there on 12/9 that we were able to get at the 7 month window!! :) We spent the other three nights at OKW

I think that early January may be easier to get. Good luck!!

I reserved at Vero last June and was told I would be on the waitlist for an ocean view room until 7 days prior to arrival. I was told that there is no automatic waiting list in the last seven days and that I must call myself day by day to see if anything opened up. Nothing did.
